The view, the tranquility, and the location for excursions are excellent! The cleanliness was not acceptable for us. The kitchen cabinets, surfaces were not clean, the curtains and walls were partially dirty, the kettle was calcified, the coffee machine was dirty. Old water in the Senseo, pot for example for pasta, very dirty, wallpaper in the bedroom has cracks. Overall, it was a bit dusty, dirty, and musty. We have cleaned what we used ourselves as much as possible and still enjoyed the beautiful view. The vacation apartment is an ideal starting point for culture and hikes.

Apartment... well. It wasn't very clean and everything was full of spiders! There is a very bad smell (damp and old,...) The landlord is very unreliable. I still haven't received my deposit back 5 weeks after departure and have not received any feedback otherwise. I will file a complaint now! Apart from the apartment, our stay in the area was very nice. There is a lot to see and experience.

The view from the terrace is a whole feeling! Relaxed place to drink coffee and watch the hustle and bustle in the harbor, cozy setup with all the important things, perfect for a relaxing short vacation.

This text will be a bit longer because we need to explain the middle smiley. Actually, it doesn't fit in either direction. First of all: We have no claims. A nice roof over our heads is enough for us; we adapt to the situations and are really easy to satisfy. - This time we fulfilled our wish to be able to look at a sea. The location: Unmatched. The view was as hoped - harbor, steep coast, and sea. (No view of the golf course, there isn't one, but we were aware of that). Both at the cape and in the city/harbor, you can walk there in a few minutes. A very good bakery is also quickly reachable on foot. We had a parking space (mostly, see below) in front of the house (not on the property, as stated in the advertisement). There are many things to experience in Fécamp and the surrounding area that are truly, truly worth it (the coast is even more beautiful from the sea, by the way!). The equipment: The kitchen is adequately equipped and matches the description on the internet and the very low rental price. The photos correspond to reality. Willingness to compromise should be present. - We did not find the washing machine mentioned in the advertisement, but we were not there to do laundry and therefore did not inquire. The two bedrooms are cozy, clean, and lovingly furnished. The fact that the bathroom and toilet can only be accessed through the bedroom is not a problem when traveling as a family. However, one should be aware of it. The very nice upper bedroom is, as correctly described in the advertisement, accessible via a conventional foldable attic ladder, so it's not suitable for people who cannot climb down backwards. The Wi-Fi works quickly and without issues, which we experienced differently nearby last year. Our son was happy about it. Terrace: We would have appreciated the lounge chairs from the photo, but it was okay to just sit on garden chairs. A sun umbrella is available. The grill was a bit suspicious to us - but it surely does its job. Quiet location: Probably yes, and I find it a bit difficult with the following because I don't know how the landlord could have influenced this. Nevertheless: Vacation is something one often saves up for a long time, so I find it fair to share our impressions. - That was our reality: Fécamp is quite a lively town, which you can naturally hear from Cap Fagnet (harbor operations with warning sounds so that no one gets run over, the annual motorcycle meeting, music). Everything fits and is as it should be. However, it became an absolute imposition after a busy first week of vacation starting Friday evening, when a private giant event began on the property directly above our accommodation. We are really used to sorrow at home - but a real disco with a roaring DJ and singing hordes unrestrained and under the open night and early morning sky right next door until 4 a.m. is something one really has to like if one is actually looking for the opposite by the sea. Unfortunately, the event was not over; on Saturday, we fell disheartened as we returned from our day trip in the evening, our little avenue and all access roads were still hopelessly clogged with cars, and we were already greeted by the next thumping bass and loud singers. It goes without saying that an incredible crowd had also gathered for the happening on Saturday to celebrate loudly "into Sunday" with their powerful DJ at the microphone. (Fun Fact: Parking ticket included. Pious wish: Hopefully it will be really expensive. - The parking lot by the house was also a thing of the past.) At first, it was just loud. - The real disco under the open sky, with at least in the choruses very secure choir hundreds (many of whom can also whistle dissonantly but piercingly), started this time after midnight (0:45 AM). The whole thing dragged on - how could it be otherwise - crashing into the morning hours. After 5, we were still an involuntary part of this mass event. The incredibly nerve-wracking construction noise from week 2, presumably continuously from early morning until closing time around 5 PM from the same property - so again directly above us - was another dot on the i, making outdoor breakfast unfortunately impossible this week. - But at some point, the house up there has to be finished, it was just bad luck that it started during this time. As much as we enjoyed the luxury of this truly incomparable location and the absolutely dreamy view, and as much as we would have loved to book for next year on the first day out of sheer enthusiasm - we probably won't stay here again. We are really sad about that - it is explicitly not due to the accommodation itself. But anyone who wants to be sure to be able to sleep at least sometime after midnight should urgently consider that one really has to reckon with the newly arrived direct neighbors here. Closed windows unfortunately do not help. - We have tested this extensively. Conclusion: Construction sites in residential areas - unavoidable, because working life continues even when people are on vacation. But: If, for two weeks, three days and nights in an explicitly "quiet residential area" in a neighborhood where parties are prohibited (which we assume is the consensus in the residential area), there is such unbearable noise, it is unacceptable. We wish our very nice and very patient landlords and the other residents of "our" block continued strong nerves for the new neighbors in this beautiful little spot on earth! We sincerely wish our successors that the floor in the noise-maker house without windows will soon be removed and the tiles will soon be gone - and that the next birthday does not fall during the vacation. Summary: That was the vacation with the most beautiful view, the nicest people in all the places we visited, the best walking access to dream locations, and the most continuous unbearable daily/nightly noise we have ever experienced.

The private terrace was such a bonus, and the view of the port was breathtaking every morning, The apartment was super comfy, had everything we needed including a well-equipped kitchen, Also, the location was great for visiting nearby spots like Etretat and Honfleur, The only thing was the stairs to the gallery bedroom were a bit steep, but it was worth it for the charm!
