Depending on availability, bicycles are available free of charge for exploring the surrounding area. San Teodoro has developed from a simple fishing village into one of the most popular holiday destinations on Sardinia's east coast and is easily accessible from both the airport and the Olbia ferry port. The excellent, clear sea water and the three-kilometer-long sandy beach of La Cinta guarantee a wonderful seaside holiday. The picturesque surroundings, with rocky offshore islands and impressive granite formations, as well as the bird-filled marshland behind the dunes, are extremely attractive. Furthermore, there is a wide range of restaurants, bars, and shops, as well as many different options for active vacationers. Nearby activities: Active vacationers will find surf and sailing rentals, a diving center, and a horse farm in San Teodoro, as well as bicycle rentals, tennis courts, and golf courses. There are also numerous excursion destinations, including a visit to the small port of Porto San Paolo, just a few kilometers from San Teodoro. From here, you can visit Tavolara Island and explore the coastal nature reserve. It's worth bringing a camera, as the "Stagno di San Teodoro" marsh is home to many different bird species.

The bird-rich marsh behind the dunes was a pleasant surprise. We spotted several species during our walks, which was a delight for our nature-loving children.
