Lovingly furnished semi-detached house on the edge of the Northern Vosges nature park. Here you will find peace and relaxation, but also an ideal starting point for trips to Alsace and Lorraine. The region is known for its crystal works and all things table culture. Numerous cozy restaurants attract with regional delicacies, which are of course also for sale at the lively weekly markets. If you wish, you can even borrow a fishing rod from the landlord and fish your own meal in one of the many rivers or lakes in the area. You are also welcome to use the landlord's garden, which is about 50 m away.
Activities nearby: the imposing castle of La Petite Pierre is nearby, in Sarrebourg the chapel with the famous Chagall windows is worth a visit, the rock von Dabo wants to be conquered and not far from it is the St. Louis-Arzviller boat lift with summer toboggan run.
Note: Parking in the yard possible.

Pleasant and comfortable house; contact with the owners was extremely correct and friendly. We received various tips and advice about the village/region, sights, and historical anecdotes. Simply put: a vacation in which we felt welcome. The surroundings offer everything: culture, nature, and historical sites.

Location gped, good service owner, beds of inferior quality

The little house was very nice, but parking your car in the small parking space was a downside. Another downside was no restaurant, no bakery in the village, actually nothing. So be aware to bring something to eat, especially if you come on the weekend. There was a store about 20 minutes drive away, but it closes around 19:30 on Saturday, on Sunday morning we could go to the bakery in Petit Pier (7 km) from Hinsbourg. Other large stores are closed there. We had a nice week.

After staying at Hinsbourgh last year, we decided to come back this year to the same house. The house is very comfortable with a good kitchen and bathroom, with enough space to leisure, read and watch TV in the living room. In front the house the owners have created a suite with a roof cover, so that you can also sit outside when it"s raining. Next to the house is a private spot to safely park the car. We enjoyed visiting the several castles (and ruins) in the near surroundings and villages such as La Petit Pierre and Wingen (which has a convenient small-sized Carrefour). In the surroundings there are several museums about crystal glass making. This year we undertook a few longer distance trips to Nancy, Colmar and Metz, which is perfectly doable in one day. The region has a beauty that it is not very touristic, but you can choose to visit tourist attractions as you like. The owners, Christine and Phillipe, are very friendly people who easily chat with you either in German and French. Sitting in front of the house enables you to practice many "bonjours" and "saluts" with the villagers who walk by and invite you to the weekly Flamkuchen-fest on Thursdays.
