An ideal domicile for a larger family or vacation with friends. Activities nearby : The Lichtenberg Castle is open to the public and numerous open-air performances take place here in the summer. Other castles, churches and abbeys in the area are worth a visit, and Strasbourg can be reached in just under an hour's drive.

The furnishings are clearly outdated, and cleanliness could improve. But the outdoor area is uniquely beautiful, and the landlady is a gem! I would come again, but only with a good coffee machine, decent knives, and pans. Probably also bedding, as there are only wool blankets with sheets on site. Thank you for your hospitality, dear Peggy!

Very nice and quiet, enough rooms, living kitchen very spacious, well equipped. Landlady very nice and accommodating, baguettes and various croissants fresh every morning on request.

A spacious house, many kitchen items available. Nice to have a dishwasher and washing machine in the kitchen. Large bedrooms with double beds. In the middle of a quiet village in the woods. From here, many things to do and see. Do keep in mind that there is no Wifi.

Large house, lots of space, open kitchen complete with washing machine, oven and dishwasher. Cook in the microwave or on the electric burners. There are 4 bedrooms and a shower and toilet on both floors. Outside you can sit outside either behind or next to the house. Views of the mountains in the area. Opposite the house at the back there is a playground for school children. There is a tennis court next to the house, but it was not used during our stay. The nearest supermarket is about fifteen minutes by car. Mountainous area, many hiking opportunities. Chateau Lichtenberg is nearby, worth a visit. Beautiful views all around to all sides of Vosges and Alsace. By car you can take nice steps to Strasbourg, among others. La petite Pierre is worth walking, especially the old part of the village and visiting the chateau there. The town of Bitche has a nice garden and walk towards the chateau. We didn't eat out in the area. There was also little except a hotel restaurant. For better dining, go to La petite Pierre. We stayed in the house for a week. Details: it was cleaned up with the French stroke and not very clean. We brought our own sheets and towels. In the house you can use sheets, blankets and pillows there. Beds are not made. Bring your own toilet paper and washing up cubes. Refrigerator does not close very well, push well, otherwise it will not cool. The description of how the owner can be reached could use an update. Only the last telephone number in the Belvilla description was correct. The owner is quickly on site when asked and she is a friendly woman. She only speaks German and French. We had a nice week despite some minor negatives. But the price was decent and all in all the house gets an eight out of 10 from us.

Groot huis, veel ruimte, open keuken compleet met wasmachine, oven en afwasmachine. Koken in de magnetron of op de elektrische pitten. Er zijn 4 slaapkamers en op beide verdiepingen een douche en toilet. Buiten kun je zowel achter als naast het huis buiten zitten. Uitzicht op de bergen in de omgeving. Tegenover het huis aan de achterkant bevind zich een speelplaats voor schoolkinderen. Naast het huis is een tennisbaan maar daar werd tijdens ons verblijf geen gebruik van gemaakt. De dichtstbijzijnde supermarkt is ongeveer een kwartiertje met de auto. Bergachtige omgeving, veel wandelmogelijkheden. Vlakbij bevindt zich chateau Lichtenberg, moeite waard om te bezoeken. Prachtige vergezichten rondom naar alle kanten van Vogezen en Elzas. Met de auto zijn leuke trapjes te maken naar o.a. Straatsburg, La petite Pierre is de moeite waard om vooral het oude dorps deel te bewandelen en bezichtigen van het chateau aldaar. De plaats Bitche heeft een leuke tuin en wandeling richting chateau. Uit eten in de buurt hebben we niet gedaan. Er was ook weinig behalve een hotel restaurant. Voor het betere dineren moet je in La petite Pierre zijn. Wij verbleven een weekje in het huis. Details: het was opgeruimd met de Franse slag en niet heel geweldig schoon. We hadden zelf lakens en handdoeken mee. In het huisje kun je vet gebruik maken van lakens en dekens en kussens aldaar. Bedden zijn niet opgemaakt. Zelf toiletpapier en afwasblokjes meenemen. Koelkast sluit niet heel goed, goed aanduwen anders koelt deze niet. De beschrijving van hoe de eigenaresse bereikbaar is kan een update gebruiken. Alleen het laatste telefoonnummer in de beschrijving van Belvilla klopte. De eigenaresse is snel ter plekke desgevraagd en ze is een vriendelijke vrouw. Ze spreekt alleen Duits en Frans. We hebben een leuke week gehad ondanks wat kleine minpunten. Maar de prijs was fatsoenlijk en al met al krijgt het huis van ons een kleine acht.
