The Mas de La Rivoire is a 700 year old farm that has recently been fully restored and renovated in original state. The Mas (country estate) is located in rural country, and has plenty of space around. Behind the mas there is a piece of private forest with quiet shady spots under the trees for a picnic in the forest.
From the beautiful swimming pool, located in the newly landscaped garden, you can overlook the surroundings.
In a few minutes drive you are in the pretty medieval village of Sommieres with his pedestrian zones, shops restaurants and and terraces.
Within 25 minutes you are on the white beaches between Montpellier and Grande Motte. The beautiful surroundings of Sommieres offer a wide range of possibilities for both dynamic and relaxing activities.

Location and surroundings of object
The Rooms
Each of the four rooms has a separate entrance accessible by a small staircase from the central courtyard. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and equipped with modern furnishings, while the authentic style, with its ancient stone walls has been maintained. Each room has a modern bathroom with shower and a private toilet.
The Gite
The entrance of the gite is located in the central courtyard of the mas.
From the living room is an additional entrance to a separate patio and terrace overlooking the gite is suitable for 4/5 persons, and has:
A spacious living room with 1 large bed, a kitchen equipped with dishwasher and microwave. There is a separate bathroom and toilet, TV. 1-bedroom with two beds.
The surrounding of the mas has a lot to offer for lovers of nature, beach, culture and recreation.
There are a number of ancient villages, which are certainly worthwhile to explore. In an hour you are in the famous pilgrimage St. Guilhem the Desert and the Gorges de L'Herault, where you can canoe. The cities Uzes, Nimes, Montpellier, Avignon and Arles are within 20 to 50 minutes. Furthermore, natural areas such as the Camargue and the Cevennes are at short driving distance.

Near the Mas, mountain bike, hiking and horseback riding trails directly accessible. On request you can rent bicycles with us. We have a partnership with a nearby horseback riding school from which tours can be arranged for beginners and experienced jockeys, both individually and collectively. The traditional white Camargue horses are used.
We can also arrange tennis courts at the tennis club of Sommieres.
Golf at 20 minutes for the mas you'll find the splendid course of Nimes:
At 20 minutes or less away from the mas you find various wineries:
Chateau Puech Haut, Domaine de l'Escattes, Domaine la clot-fontane, and the famous wineries around the Pic Saint Loup.
