In the heart of the Uckermark Lakes Nature Park lies the state-recognized island town of Lychen, which boasts seven lakes within its immediate urban area. Those who want to enjoy the vibrant city atmosphere in between can take a day trip to Berlin, which can be reached in about an hour and a half.
