In any case, highly recommended !!!
As soon as you turn off the road into the short forest path leading to the house, you think: that's great! The house is situated in a large clearing, surrounded by a huge meadow, ideal for children and/or dogs, but also for those who are looking for peace and quiet, but still want to stay close by (Gelting is only a few minutes away). The house itself is very lovingly furnished, unusually well equipped (from sufficient crockery and all electrical appliances to books and board games to a hairdryer and make-up mirror, everything is available) and very well laid out. Since there are two bathrooms, you won't get in each other's way, even with several people. The wood-burning stove in the living/dining room certainly makes autumn and winter evenings cosy, but of course we didn't need it in summer. The Witt family is always approachable, very friendly and helpful. We felt wonderfully looked after with our dog, as we have for many years with the Witt family, whether in Akeby or Stangheck, even if this time there was only enough time for a few days. It was definitely worth it.
