The old residential house on Oberkirchgasse has been lovingly and carefully modernized. Crooked walls and partly even floors are naturally normal in the old houses around the Leaning Tower. This was to be preserved. So, don't be surprised if something seems "crooked" to you. Enjoy the charm of the little house. According to the motto: Crooked is chic!
The holiday home extends over two floors (ground and upper floor). Using another staircase, you will reach the back garden. Therefore, climbing stairs should not pose a problem for you.
On the ground floor of the house, you will find a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom, and the kitchen. This is equipped with modern electrical appliances, including a dishwasher. You can dine in the separate dining room, also located on the ground floor, or in the fully covered courtyard. On the upper floor, there is another bedroom (with TV), the large living room, and a small, cozy reading room. Additionally, the upper floor also has a bathroom (careful, it literally goes "uphill" ;-).
Via the stairs to the attic, you have access to the garden terrace and the green-sloped southern property, which is also available to guests. Here, the vacation home truly lives up to its name - "Tower View"! Enjoy the view, read a good book, or just relax and unwind. And of course, there is the opportunity to grill the famous Thuringian Rostbratwurst yourself.
With two fully equipped bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as additional sleeping arrangements in the living room, the holiday house is the ideal accommodation for up to five people.

The holiday home is located directly at the most famous landmark of Bad Frankenhausen, the Leaning Tower.
From here you can walk directly into nature and after a short walk you will reach the Hausmannsturm and a little later also the Panorama Museum. You will already enjoy the way there, over meadows and through forests.
In the direction of the town, you walk for 5 minutes through the spa park and reach the Anger or the market square - i.e. the centre of the town. The Kyffhäusertherme is also within easy walking distance. Directly within sight of the holiday home you will find a miniature golf course, a show salt boiling house, the source of the brine springs and the brine water vitality park. Here, too, you can relax wonderfully.

Bad Frankenhausen, the 1000-year-old salt town on the southern slope of the Kyffhäuser Mountains, impresses with numerous sights, including the leaning upper church, the Hausmannsturm tower from the 13th century and the monumental painting of the Peasants' Battle in the Panorama Museum
The famous Kyffhäuser Monument is in the immediate vicinity. Also just a few kilometres from Bad Frankenhausen, Europe's only show cave in anhydrite rock is definitely worth a visit - the Barbarossa Cave.
The landscape and nature of the Kyffhäuser Mountains invite visitors to the region to go hiking or cycling. There is plenty to discover here.
As a spa town, Bad Frankenhausen also offers a wide range of opportunities to do something for your health. At the Kyffhäusertherme spa, you can bathe in the brine from the town's salt springs or relax with massages and various sauna sessions and gather strength for everyday life.

Great family - friends - holiday !
The FH is a beautiful, lovingly furnished cottage. There is enough space for everyone. There is a small garden with a beautiful view and barbecue facilities. It is only a short walk to get fresh bread for breakfast or to go out for dinner in the evening. For the kids there are many sights in the immediate vicinity. A short drive to the Kyffhäuser monument or a bike ride to the Barbarossa cave, nothing is impossible.
It was a relaxing 3 days and we will gladly come back again?

We had 4 wonderful days of holiday. The house is very beautiful, lovingly furnished. We felt at home with a very nice terrace, barbecue, garden furniture. Rooms, kitchen and bathrooms all super clean. As families we did a lot in a short time, also by bike. Spectacular location directly opposite the leaning tower. Short walking distance to restaurants and shopping
