Our comfortable Root Cabin on the Grosshinterbergeralm (www. grosshinterberger. com) accommodates up to 8 people. The cabin is a self-catering cabin in a secluded location, surrounded by forest and alpine pastures. The magnificent view over the Lavant Valley will convince you that you have landed in the paradise of Carinthia.

The cozy Root Cabin was newly built in 2009 on a southern alpine meadow. High-quality, traditional craftsmanship was especially valued in the construction of the cabin. Wood cut according to moon phases, roof shingles made of larch wood.

The root hut is easily accessible by car (partly gravel road), and there is enough space to park vehicles directly in front of the hut. The road is also passable in winter, but snow chains are absolutely necessary during the cold season!

Our root hut is situated on a large, South alpine meadow on the Saualpe, with stunning views over the entire southern lavant Valley.
We are without a doubt one of the favor landscapes in the South of Austria. Hardly anywhere else, there are so many sunny days like this. The Carinthian lavant Valley that has always been, considered to "Paradise of Carinthia". Our farm is located on a southeastern Hill with an extensive view over much of the Lavanttals.
