Description
Completed in 2020 with a full-sided view over Lake Cantor. The panoramic fireplace provides warmth, the floor is made of travetin and slate. From the outside, the house pleases with its green roof and larch wood cladding. The feeling of space is created by the spacious living, dining and bedroom areas. The experience is rounded off by the French-Scandinavian furnishings, Ligne Roset.
Everything is new, the kitchen offers everything the traveller's heart desires.

Location and surroundings of object
The cottage is directly adjacent to Lake Kantor and is reached via a cobblestone road. The garden is park-like on an area of 3/4 ha (7500 m²). On the property, away from the cottage and not visible, is an approximately 200 year old brick half-timbered house, which you can also rent (up to seven people). If you are interested in the large house, you can find more information on the right under "More accommodation" (holiday home rental no. 62051).
A jetty, boat and sauna are available for all guests.
As the oldest village in the Uckermark, Gramzow is historically marked. There are remains of a Premonstratensian monastery and a church from the 12th century, both of which can be seen from the park of the house. Three lakes characterise the village. From the outskirts of the village, you can reach a grocer, baker, pharmacy and restaurants on foot.
The Uckermark is sparsely populated, characterised by forests and meadows and a biosphere reserve. In addition, there is evidence of the eventful past, such as the monastery ruins in Gramzow, which were built by Premonstratensians as early as the 12th century. Day trips are possible to Chorin Monastery, the Szczecin Lagoon, the Bodden, Usedom, the Baltic Sea and Berlin.
The Railway Museum
Not only for children. The disused railway station is now a museum. You can reach it easily on foot and ride there on locomotives of the past.
Restaurants
Something for everyone. In the centre of the village, two restaurants serve uckermärkische food. There is also an ice cream parlour for the little ones.
You can also eat exquisite food in the neighbouring village of Seehausen, in the Huberhof, which is known beyond the region. We can also recommend the "Kastanienhof" in Flieth, and we are very enthusiastic about the "Wallenstein" in Angermünde.

Recreation by the lake
We booked the waterfront cottage together with the "House at Kantor Lake" (a total of 7 people). The waterfront cottage was, so to speak, first class. It offers plenty of space for two people and is modern and very well equipped. You can look at the water from the bed, and the spacious terrace invites you to relax. The shower drain was not working in the meantime - a sieve must have slipped. We were able to fix the error ourselves, but you have to be careful, also because the drain works with a wastewater pump. We have used the lake several times for swimming, but the water quality is better in the surrounding swimming lakes. The beautiful bathing area at the large Kuhsee, which is about two kilometers away, is wonderful!

Idyll at Lake Kantor
A house with modern interior, stylish furniture, good location directly on the lake, only a few steps to the water with jetty, sauna and rowing boat. The evening atmosphere is particularly beautiful when the lake is awakened by all the creatures and the sunsets in beautiful colours. We didn't miss a TV. There are many historical buildings to visit in the Uckermark, including the moated castle in Gerswalde and the church ruins in Gartz. As far as restaurants are concerned, you have to drive a little further. The Kastanienhof in Flieth is recommended, with vendace on offer.
There is also a wine shop worth mentioning, Weinhandlung C. Soyeaux in Bertikow-Uckerfelde, good selection.
Conclusion: A great holiday in great surroundings not far from Berlin.

Outstanding stay - thank you
Great house, great surroundings. It was a pleasant and beautiful stay. One small challenge is cleaning the fireplace. The "cold finger" is the tool for opening the fireplace. The house is lovingly furnished. You don't miss the television as much. Thank you for the lovely opportunity to relax.

The gem by the lake leaves nothing to be desired.
First, I do not want to rate the cleanliness since our predecessors cleaned, I will not evaluate that!

Refugium am See: Refuge by the lake
A dreamlike place: right on the lake, secluded and quiet on a beautiful large estate with old trees, blooming hedges and even peonies. We dreamed of such a holiday home and found it at Lake Kantor. The shore house is amazing: bright and modern furnished with many large windows and a huge wooden terrace right on the lake shore. We could hardly tear ourselves away from this view, had breakfast there in the morning sun, then read and dozed and occasionally swam and rowed in the lake. Only in the evenings did we take walks through the worth seeing town after dinner. And on the only rainy day we finally got to enjoy the sauna and step directly into the lake from it. We already know and love the surroundings from other vacations in the Uckermark. This sparsely populated, undulating landscape with fields of red poppies and blue cornflowers, forests and countless lakes is not only pure relaxation for the eyes. We enjoyed our time there very much and will definitely come back.
