the skat boys like to come back
We are a group of five friends and have known each other for more than 30 years ! We were just at the weekend in January 2023 for the 6th time in "our" house at Lake Schwerin and are already looking forward to the 7th time. Even for 5 men of advanced age, the house offers plenty of space and generally also time for relaxation due to the quiet surroundings. With children, there are many possibilities from there around Schwerin to the Baltic Sea. The open kitchen was once again a nice opportunity to "sizzle" the food together. In the evenings we played cards as usual, and in winter the fireplace provides enough heat and saves on unnecessary energy costs. The neighbours have grown close to us over the years and are very nice and sociable. The house is also recommended for a week's stay, Lake Schwerin is within sight!

Beautiful New Year's Eve at the lake with friendly neighbours
We had booked the house together with friends for New Year's Eve. The booking was simple and the communication with Mr. Neuber very nice and courteous.
Due to the increased energy prices, he pointed out to us that it would be advantageous to heat the house with the fireplace and therefore to bring wood with us.
Thanks again for that ;-)
Apart from a few spider webs in one corner or another, the house was very clean.
We also missed a pair of scissors in the kitchen but we knew how to help ourselves.
Maybe the pans and pots in the kitchen could use an update, as it seemed that previous tenants were not so good with tidiness and cleanliness.
We cannot confirm any negative experiences with excrement or similar from animals. However, if you book a house in/near the forest, you should expect mother nature.
Conclusion: We would book the house again as it was perfect for our requirements.

Very nice holiday home
We spent a week in this beautiful, large holiday home.
We could not understand the criticisms from the other reviews.
Only one slatted frame in the double bed was damaged, which made it not as comfortable as on the other side.
There was a swallow's nest on the balcony, which the Neuber family cannot/should not do anything about. When we moved in, all the droppings had been removed.
We will gladly come back.

Beautiful house with many points of criticism
We had really nice weather this week. The location of the house is very beautiful. The house itself is well built. However, there are some points of criticism.
- There was no way to darken the living area downstairs as there were no curtains or similar. As it was very hot, the house heated up significantly.
- Some items such as scissors, thermos flask, insufficient plates and small glasses, as well as enough cutlery were missing in the kitchen. The dishwasher had to be run daily, but only half full.
- Many bats live under the roof, which has led to windows, balcony, and terrace being covered in droppings.
- The balcony couldn't be used because it was covered in droppings and there were no chairs.
- The living room and large bedroom have a very unpleasant smell.
- The umbrella was broken and had to be secured with a band.
- The laundry room was full of mold. - There were no fly screens on the terrace doors and in the bathrooms. As a result, there were a lot of insects in the house.
- The mattresses in the large bedroom are worn out, and the sofa bed in the same room was not properly cleaned; it seems like one of the previous guests may have eaten on it.
Overall, we had a nice week. However, we would not book the holiday home again.
