Description
Detached romantic oasis surrounded by meadows and forests in absolute seclusion. Beautiful hiking and cycling trails start right at the house. There is a great covered grill with a fireplace. The beautiful garden can be used in many ways. A ping-pong table, a foosball table, and a dartboard are in the double garage and provide fun in any weather. The beautiful antique country house style immediately invites you to relax. The kitchen is very well equipped. Outside of the holidays, we can usually extend the check-in/out.
The house is an old half-timbered house with 160 sqm over 2 floors. On the ground floor there is a large living area with a big dining table and 2 smaller tables for playing or reading. The kitchen, a bedroom with a bunk bed (140 cm below and 90 cm above), a small bathroom, and a separate WC are also on the ground floor. Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms, a larger bathroom with WC, and another large living room with TV. In this room, you can also sleep on mattresses if needed.
The house is furnished in an antique, romantic country house style. The kitchen is not very large, but leaves nothing to be desired – the stove and Gaggenau oven are 90 cm wide. A second refrigerator with a freezer compartment is located in the basement. Dishes, cutlery, and glasses are available in large quantities. From the living area, you have direct access to a beautiful sun terrace. Across the courtyard, you reach the old open barn. There is a brick barbecue with 2 fire pits under stainless steel grates and a beautiful sandstone fireplace. Next to the barn is a double garage where beer benches can be set up in case you are surprised by rain. Otherwise, there is a table tennis table, a foosball table, and a dartboard here. On the solid lawn in front of the garage, you can play badminton or boules wonderfully. Of course, the other lawns in the garden are also suitable for a large croquet course. The house is ideal for a lovely weekend for families or groups as well as a varied holiday home.

Other important notes
In a quiet and varied environment there are several bathing lakes as well as the romantic small towns of Marburg and Alsfeld.
In the house, exactly one WiFi with fiber optic internet connection "radiates". The cell phone reception is not the best, but the radiation is also low.
Families with small children should note that there are two small, shallow ponds on the property in front of the house that are not fenced in. In addition, the sockets in the house are not secured and the old staircase is rather steep. The house is equipped with an alarm and cameras. The system is, of course, only active when the house is unoccupied.

Location and surroundings of object
Directly from the house, you can quickly reach wonderful hiking and cycling trails, away from the tourist crowds. In the quiet and varied surroundings there are several bathing lakes as well as the romantic half-timbered towns of Marburg and Alsfeld. The Kellerwald Nature Park and Lake Edersee are easy to reach.

Everything is great!!
We were at the mill over the New Year 25/26. Four people and two dogs enjoyed a (relatively) firecracker-free stay. The furnishings are rustic but cozy, and nothing was missing. It's just a shame that the fireplace is not in the house. We will definitely come back again.

Beautiful house for New Year's Eve with friends
We visited Ossi's house with friends and several children over New Year's Eve. It is very quiet at the edge of the forest, next to only a farm. You can take beautiful walks and otherwise make yourself comfortable; the house offers everything you need for a relaxing week, where the focus is mainly on cooking, eating, and enjoying company. A house with flair and character, naturally a bit noisy due to its age. Excursions to Marburg and Amöneburg provide some culture and variety, both highly recommended. Shopping and other errands are best combined with these trips.
To be honest, we did not use the living room, including the TV on the upper floor.
Overall, a highly recommended accommodation, ranked at the top in our internal ranking (we have been meeting every other New Year's Eve for several years now) :-)

Totally relaxed, no neighbors! ?
We were there just the two of us with our two dogs. The secluded location was perfect for us and our dogs. There are wonderful hiking trails practically right outside the door. The garden for relaxing and playing is wonderful. We really enjoyed our time at Wolfsmühle and will definitely come back. We found Ossi's nice and uncomplicated manner great and very refreshing!

Top Location!
As in the previous year, we spent a long weekend here. Some from our men's group were even on site for six days. And like last year, there is absolutely nothing to criticize this time either. Only the quarterfinal exit against Spain slightly dampens the overall impression. Just a little joke...? Everything and more is available. Here you can have your peace and enjoy the area, the ambiance, and grilling evenings. That's why we always like to come back.
