Dream holiday at Baan Kinnaree Guest House

We were in Phuket for the first time and spent our first 5 nights with Werner and his family. The welcome was very warm. When we settled in, Werner showed us around on his scooter and gave us valuable tips. That was really great! Thanks to Werner, we already had a good overview. The following days we drove a lot with the scooter (which we borrowed from Werner) to explore the area. We found the location of the guesthouse perfect for this - you can quickly get to the supermarket or the beach. The beach in Naiharn, about 5-10 minutes by scooter, is just amazing :) for us the most beautiful beach in Phuket (and we have seen a few).
After these 5 nights we didn't want to go to another accommodation, but we had already booked a hotel in Germany. Since we liked it so much, we returned to Werner and his family for the last 4 days of our trip.
What should be emphasised was the great breakfast. Each time lovingly prepared with fruits and vegetables and fresh rolls. The hotel couldn't compete with that :)
We felt at home during this time and will come again 100%.

Super stay at the Baan Kinnaree guesthouse

This was our first time in Thailand and we were very well looked after by Werner, Mod and his children for 3 weeks

A short overview:
Took us to the bank to change money.
Showed me (Klaus) the Nai Harn and Rawai Beach with the scooter.
Answered many of our questions to our complete satisfaction.
Got very good tips, very helpful as a newcomer.
Transport from and to the airport organised, as well as excursion to the Phi Phi islands.
Scooter rented at a reasonable price.
Room always clean with very good bed and perfect shower.
Very good breakfast with bean to cup coffee from the espresso machine as much as we wanted.
Always friendly and helpful.

I could list much more, but see for yourself Werner, Mod and his lovely children.

For us it was the perfect stay with the Apfelbaums, we will definitely come back next time.

Best guesthouse in Phuket

Plus: Great guest house, like a hotel, only more personal. The room was large and clean. The bathroom was up to Western standards. Breakfast was always freshly prepared. We rented a scooter at the guest house without any problems, including a first ride with the host. We had a great 10-day vacation. Many thanks to Werner and his family!

"All the best for a relaxing vacation."

Since we have been back from Phuket for 2 weeks now, I must thank you, Werner, sincerely. The information you gave us before the vacation was all perfect, that's the advantage of living on the island for 15 years. The house was a dream, just like in the pictures, and the breakfast was like at home, orange juice, scrambled eggs, and fresh rolls, not to mention the daily ham platter.

We had the room right next to the terrace and pool. We always had the pool to ourselves, and the water quality was excellent. I also have to say that the shower was like at home, no trickle, as we had experienced on Phuket before. Werner has 5 motor scooters for rent, which you need on Phuket. He also assists with car rentals. I must say, if anyone wants to have an carefree vacation, they will find the perfect solution at Baan Kinnaree:

- Room or studio perfect according to German standards.
- Breakfast excellent, everything is taken care of, and wishes are fulfilled.
- Air conditioning works perfectly.
- Pool the right size, water quality excellent.
- Quiet residential area but still centrally located.
- The rooms are cleaned every day.
- Werner organizes and informs; if you have any questions, they are answered 100%.

"Vacation in paradise, with Werner and family"

During our third stay in Phuket, this time we ended up in the very south of the island. Shortly after arriving at Werner and Mod's guesthouse, it was clear to us that the many positive reviews were accurate. Werner was always there for his guests from the first minute, organizing transfers and being attentive to all requests. The approximately 3 km long Naiharn Beach, which was within walking distance, was the cherry on top. 3km to the beach, as well as all localities and bars can be quickly and easily reached with one of his scooters. We had booked the studio at Werner's, which was beautifully furnished and equipped with everything imaginable (hairdryer, air conditioning, safe, huge bathroom, etc.). Our visit to Werner, Mod, Michelle, and Natalie will certainly not be our last trip to the Baan Kinnaree guesthouse. "Unrestricted recommendation" :-)

Holiday retreat

I have been traveling to Thailand for many years, but I have enjoyed it the most at Werner's place. A very familial atmosphere that I really appreciated. Very friendly hosts who help with errands, whether it's getting a car or a moped. The breakfast is according to German standards, and let's not forget the good Thai fruits. The rooms are nicely clean with always fresh towels and bed linen, something I missed in some hotels in Thailand. It is a very beautiful, quiet residential area, and everything is quickly accessible by car, whether to the beach, weekly markets, or Patong, Kata Noi, Karon, to the Buddha, or to Promthep Cape. Always a pleasure to return.

Wunderschöner Aufenthalt

We are now for the third time in the beautiful guest house of Werner. As always, we had a very nice stay. The hospitality and cleanliness are excellent once again. The beaches can only be reached by car, but it's definitely worth visiting each of them. The best thing about the guest house is the location. At Werner's, it's nice and quiet, yet if you want some action, you're in the middle of things within minutes. Breakfast is served in buffet style. This is very convenient as it offers a larger selection. Werner puts a lot of effort into it. The rest of his family is also very warm and welcoming. We can only recommend this guesthouse. And we do not rule out that we will fly there again. We wish the family all the best, above all health.

Top guesthouse with professional service

Our 4th vacation in Thailand and our best accommodation. The location may seem a bit remote at first, but everything is easily accessible by scooter in a short time. Many restaurants, small shops, laundry service, massages, and beaches nearby. Werner and his family are top hosts and take care of everything and all concerns. The breakfast is great. Fresh bread and rolls, cold cuts, cheese, egg dishes, yogurt, fresh fruits, and real bean coffee. The room was large, good air conditioning, the bathroom great, especially a shower with a lot of water. The pool is well maintained and offers loungers in the shade. The rented scooter was in good condition. The pickup organized by Werner at the airport worked perfectly. We can recommend this accommodation without reservation.

Great guesthouse also for families, Part II.

Hello,

After 2013, we also spent our autumn vacation here in 2014.

Once again, everything was perfectly organized.

Cleanliness and friendliness were great as always.

When we had trouble with cash after losing our credit card, Werner quickly and easily helped us.

There is now a 7 Eleven within walking distance, which makes shopping even easier. Nai Harn Beach, the beach closest to the apartment, has improved for the better. There are no more beach chairs or stalls directly on the beach, like at all the other beaches we visited in Phuket. This makes the beach more natural again.

Once again, we were indulged with a great breakfast, partly on our special request in original Thai.

Conclusion: Another fantastic family vacation. Highly recommended.

A guesthouse to feel comfortable

We have been to Thailand for the 11th time, this time for the first time in the far south of Phuket. We were curious about the house based on the pictures and reviews, and our expectations were not disappointed. Everything, whether the property, pool, or rooms, was in very good condition. The breakfast was plentiful (cheese, cold cuts, fruit, fresh rolls, omelet, and great coffee). For Thailand newcomers, the host's knowledge is a great help. We felt absolutely comfortable, Werner is a great host. He drove us around the beaches so we could get an overview on the first day. After that, we rented a scooter from him. We were always at Nai Harn Beach, a beautiful beach. We would like to thank Werner and his family again for the very nice time.

Phuket vacation with Mod and Werner.

Very friendly welcome from Mod, Werner, and their two daughters Michelle and Nathalie. We specifically chose an address where German is spoken. Somehow, one feels better taken care of, and Werner possesses the talent and experience to explain things, solve problems, and organize everything well (excursions, shopping, beaches, vehicle rental, sightseeing, currency exchange, and whatever else a traveler in a foreign country may encounter). So we were able to start right away with a motor scooter to explore the surroundings and the beautiful beaches (we liked Nui Bay Beach the best, really great). In the evening, we enjoyed taking a swim in the pool before relaxing in the quiet and warm night with a beer on our balcony. In short: Thanks to Werner, we are now Thailand fans! ! !

Mod and Werner were nice hosts.

We stayed at Baan Kinnaree guesthouse for 6 weeks at the end of January and felt very comfortable. Since we have been to Thailand and Phuket several times, this time we chose the guesthouse of Werner and Mod with their two nice daughters, partly due to the good reviews, and we were not disappointed. The guesthouse is located in a quiet area, yet a scooter or car is needed for activities such as excursions, shopping, beaches, etc. In the vicinity, there is a 7 Eleven where you can buy daily things. From Germany, we thought about renting a scooter, but since our last Phuket vacation in 2003 before the tsunami, the traffic has increased significantly, and everyone drives as they please. We quickly changed our plans and rented a car for this time. Werner and Mod were very helpful and negotiated a good price for us. During our stay, we drove a total of approximately 1,600 km and were always relieved when we arrived safely at our guesthouse. There was a rich breakfast buffet prepared by Werner himself, and all guests had breakfast together on the terrace, enjoying the sunshine every day. The guesthouse has 4 rooms of different sizes, and we had the largest one with a balcony, which we really enjoyed. We felt very comfortable at Mod and Werner's guesthouse with their daughters, and we could come to them with any questions or requests. We can definitely recommend the guesthouse.

Regarding the beaches:
We found it unfortunate that we did not experience Phuket as it was in our previous holidays. Since the military government, many things have changed, and unfortunately, there are no more sunbeds on all Phuket beaches. There are only umbrellas and plastic mats restricted to 10% of the beach. If you have knee or back problems, it is uncomfortable to lie in the sand. During this time, there was no other option but to buy lounge chairs. We have vacationed in many countries, but we have never had to buy lounge chairs before. The beautiful small restaurants on the beaches are also no longer there; the military removed them all. Some Thais had tears in their eyes when we spoke with them because some of them no longer have work. We also couldn't properly see what has happened with the donations from the tsunami. However, there were many large, new hotels, so let's see how everything develops further. Thailand is always described as "the Land of Smiles," but many Thais have lost their smiles! At the guesthouse Baan Kinnaree, we spent lovely, relaxed weeks and extend our thanks to Werner, Mod, Michelle, and Natalie!

Guesthouse with a feel-good atmosphere

After a strenuous Thailand holiday last year with Bangkok, tour, and Pattaya, we wanted to have a quiet stay in Phuket this year. Of course, we had looked at the reviews of this guesthouse and were somewhat skeptical: does everything go right with this above-average review? Today we know: the reviews not only absolutely coincide with reality, in some points, such as the. Friendliness and helpfulness, a superlative would be appropriate! We arrived late at night and immediately found a range of complimentary drinks in our almost luxurious room (even without presenting ourselves as HolidayCheck members). Everyone was on informal terms with all guests, and after the first breakfast, a guest spontaneously drove me to the beach to show me the way and possible hazards. Werner and his wife Mod then went with us to exchange money, shop, and explore the area. Later on, we could always go to Werner with any questions; he would describe every route to us in detail and calmly. We often traveled around with an affordable scooter since without one, you're quite stuck: the way to the beach is quite far at about 3km. This way, we were always quick to reach Rawai or Kata, or even sometimes Patong, 20km away. If you want to go out in the evening, it's good to be able to walk well, unless you always prefer the same restaurant. But there are always taxis as a last resort.
We went on several excursions, all organized by Mod. I can only recommend it, as it saves real money.
In conclusion: we spent three weeks in a very family-friendly guesthouse to relax and can only recommend booking with the Apfelbaum family! Breakfast, room, cleanliness, pool and more were all excellent. enough has probably been said elsewhere, which we can only emphasize.

Guesthouse with 4 rooms where you immediately feel comfortable. You are warmly welcomed, and the family makes an effort. 7/11 shop nearby, as well as restaurants and massage studios easily reachable on foot. Beautiful beach and clean sea are just a few minutes away by scooter. The rooms are nice and clean, comfortable bed, TV, safe, fridge, air conditioning, balcony, large bathroom with shower, hairdryer, all to European standards. Simply top!

Family-friendly, peacefully located guesthouse

My parents (58/68) and I (33) spent a week with Werner and his family in Phuket. The room was large enough for the three of us and very clean, cleaned daily. Large refrigerator for the nice evenings on the terrace with all guesthouse visitors ;) Breakfast sensational with German items (sausage, cheese, rolls) delicious. Shopping possibility 5 minutes walk to the 7-11. However, you need a means of transport to get to the beaches (Nai Harn Beach our favorite 10 min. ) or restaurants. Except for the Garden Pavilion (German-Thai restaurant), which is within walking distance. We would have liked to stay longer, but every vacation has to come to an end. However, after one vacation is before the next vacation :) We plan to come again in early 2016 :)

Great praise and a heartfelt thank you

The guesthouse is located slightly off the beaten path, so renting a vehicle is highly recommended. Since this option is directly offered by the landlord, we gladly took advantage of it and did not regret it. We rented a scooter, which made beach visits, shopping, and excursion destinations easily accessible at any time! Werner and his wife Mod provided plenty of tips on what the area has to offer! The care by the family was very warm, and in retrospect, we can only say that we felt like we were not guests there, but rather as very good friends! The property is very well maintained, the rooms are spacious, and the room service can definitely compete with large 5-star establishments! We particularly appreciated the opportunity to always feel well taken care of by Werner whenever we had questions or problems. The breakfast meets the guest's wishes, Werner really takes care of almost everything the heart desires, great praise at this point! The beach was a dream, not overcrowded, rather quiet! Restaurants and small boutiques directly above the beach and enough throughout the town! Food was almost everywhere very tasty and priced absolutely ok. We really recovered very well for 2 weeks and would definitely come back! We would definitely recommend the guesthouse Baan Kinnaree to good friends!

Small hotel to feel comfortable

We stayed with Werner and his family in his small 4-room hotel for 14 days in May 2014. As we didn't want to stay in big hotels, we found the perfect place here. A nice studio with balcony, quiet air conditioning, TV, large fridge, and a great bathroom. Breakfast was buffet-style (good selection; excellent coffee from the Saeco coffee machine) on the terrace. We were able to rent a brand new scooter from Werner, with which we were at the beach in 5 minutes. When we were not at the beach, we enjoyed the tranquility by the hotel pool. Shopping opportunities and restaurants nearby. Werner is a very nice, helpful host who made it easy for us to settle in quickly. He gladly provided information and tips on shopping, markets, beaches... We were very satisfied, felt very comfortable, and would come back anytime.

Can highly recommend.

We spent 2 weeks with Werner and his family and felt simply great. Breakfast was excellent, and Werner was always ready to help with questions or tips. It's a little oasis with a great pool. We rented a scooter from Werner and used it every day to explore the fantastic island. After our outings, we always looked forward to our accommodation and the great pool, where we spent long evenings until late at night.

Can't get any better!

At Werner and Mod's, you are truly in good hands. Werner truly deserves an Oscar, even just for the organization beforehand, whether it's about picking you up from the airport, which he even did for us personally, or about renting a scooter directly from him or through a car rental company he has been working with for years, or about buying mangos to take home, which he then securely packages for transport. At Werner's, there really is the all-around carefree package. He even reserved our seats on the plane for the return flight. The breakfast on the terrace in the morning is a dream. Fresh fruits, a delicious Thai omelette, bread rolls, cold cuts, cheese, jam... The rooms and the facility with the pool are very clean and well-maintained. It is all very familial, and Werner always has a tip ready about where to eat well and what else you can do. If you like a familiar atmosphere and a corresponding flair and don't prefer large hotel complexes, this is the right place for you.
I can wholeheartedly recommend the Baan Kinnaree house and I would come back here anytime.

Great vacation!

We stayed at Mod and Werner's for 11 nights. Even before our arrival, we felt well-informed through the friendly contact with Werner. Recreational vacation away from hustle and bustle.

We stayed with Mod, Werner, and his children for 2 weeks. We felt very comfortable from beginning to end. Everything is uncomplicated. We were warmly welcomed. No matter what questions came up, Werner was always there to help us. Having a vehicle (scooter or car) is recommended. Beaches can be reached in 5-10 minutes' drive. But if you are looking for hustle and bustle, this is not the place. A restaurant is also within a 10-minute walk. Small beverage shops, massages, laundry, hairdresser within walking distance.
Breakfast highly recommended! Very delicious coffee. Freshly baked rolls. Sausage, cheese, eggs, omelette, fruit, and much more. . . . . . . . . .
We had a room with a balcony on the 1st floor. Clean, well-furnished, with everything you need. Good mattress, flat-screen TV, refrigerator, air conditioning, spacious shower, large closet, safe.
All in all, a truly relaxing holiday with a feel-good factor for us. Thank you once again for your lovely welcome!!

I spent a 4-week stay with my mother at Werner and his family's place.

The breakfast was rich and freshly prepared.

The family's service, cleanliness, and helpfulness were excellent. They cater to guests' requests.

The rooms are spacious and very tastefully decorated.

The pool is clean and clear. There are plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas available. As we weren't motorized, Werner or his wife often drove us to the beach or for meals. In short: it was a great vacation, keep it up Werner! We will definitely come back.

We already had initial contact with many useful tips before arrival.

On-site, we received an all-round carefree package, including:

* Airport pickup,
* First shared small tour including shopping and ATM withdrawal
* Scooter rental
* Plenty of tips and information about the country, excursions, and restaurants.

The rooms were well furnished and cleaned daily. Overall, a well-maintained facility in a very peaceful area. When not out and about, we relaxed by the pool. Even the beach towels were provided.

Breakfast is also highly recommended and is tailored to personal preferences. Mod (Werner's wife) prepares excellent Thai omelettes and Thai soup.

Conclusion:
Friendly family, we would love to vacation there again and can only recommend it.

Phantastisch überwintert

Very friendly and courteous family, you immediately feel at home, clean and well-kept facility in a quiet location, the distance to the beach is easily reachable with a moped, 4 beaches within a radius of max. 15 km, restaurants of various nationalities in the immediate vicinity, within about 5 minutes on foot.
Regarding the gastronomy sector, we can only evaluate the breakfast, which was superb in quality and quantity.

Carefree package with family connection

Already during the travel planning, we were provided with all the important information in advance. This was a great help, especially because it was our first time traveling to Thailand. We traveled with our seven-year-old daughter and immediately felt comfortable with Family A. Even our little one made friends with Werner's daughters right away. Werner and Mod took great care of us during our stay, not only with an excellent breakfast but also with lots of interesting information about Thailand. The room was cleaned daily and had a comfortable bed. With the scooter rented from Werner, we explored the area. The beach, restaurants, and supermarket were easily reachable from here. Great vacation in a family atmosphere

We stayed in the extremely beautiful and spacious studio for 2 1/2 weeks. After several holidays in Thailand hotels, we especially enjoyed the hospitable and familial atmosphere at Baan Kinnaree. Werner takes very attentive care of his guests, and we learned a lot of interesting things about Thailand from him. From the very comfortable beds, daily thorough room cleaning, to the delicious, rich breakfast (best Thai omelette!), we were completely satisfied. ) everything fit perfectly and on top of that, you don't live far from Nai Harn Beach, the (in our opinion) most beautiful beach in Phuket!

Superschönes Gästehaus

The guest house has 4 rooms and a very beautiful pool! The owners are super nice and very helpful. If you wish, you can use the airport transfer offered or book excursions.

The location of the house is very quiet! The beach is only a few minutes away by scooter rented from the owner. If you want to spend your vacation in peace, this is the right place. Wifi was also available! The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, and if something is missing (which was not the case for us), it will be taken care of. Everything from cheese to Black Forest ham was available.

As usual, only breakfast was offered, which was very tasty.

As already described, there was a very nice pool with good loungers. In Thailand, you don't need anything more!

The room had everything you need. good big bed, air conditioning, large shower, refrigerator, television with German channels, etc.

We would like to thank Werner and his family again for the nice care and some good beach suggestions. We will definitely come back and stay longer than 2 weeks!!!

(Studio Category 1) Accommodation for one week or for several months.

For me, the accommodation was the ideal solution. Mrs. and Mr. A. were always helpful and answered questions about Thailand in a friendly and competent manner. The guesthouse owners offered various services such as renting cars or motorcycles, booking inexpensive excursions, etc.

Werner's Paradise

We have stayed at Baan Kinnarree three times and have always been very satisfied. The rooms are all very clean and nicely furnished, and the bathroom has European standard!
The breakfast is fresh and lovingly prepared. The pool is also very well-maintained and clean, suitable for children as well.
The Apfelbaum family is very nice and accommodating. Mod (wife of Werner) is always eager to help in all situations, for example in organizing excursions or car rentals.

Prima Urlaub

After 25 years, we visited Thailand for the second time and stayed for the first time in a private guesthouse. We had a wonderful holiday thanks to Werner and his family. Everything was just perfect. The rich breakfast, the fridge filled daily with drinks at supermarket prices, the wealth of information about the country and its people, the organized excursions (we were picked up and dropped off in front of the house), and the car rental booking. The house Baan Kinnaree is like a little oasis - peace and relaxation - We can only recommend it and wish Werner and his family continued success.

There's nothing better.

Great breakfast. The studio is a dream. Wonderful view from the balcony of the Big Buddha. Very nice pool. The landlord is always helpful. Very nice family. I will come back. It was a beautiful stay at the guesthouse.

Immer wieder

We have been to Baan Kinnaree for the third time. Every time, we were picked up from the airport by Mr. Apfelbaum. The first time, he even gave us a little tour around the area, showing us the way to the beach, giving tips on restaurants, shops, etc. We also booked our rental car straight away, which was promptly delivered to our doorstep. And the price was truly the best in town. (We checked this ourselves.) At this point, thanks again for pulling us out of the mire. We rented the studio every time. It is fully furnished, with a large bathroom, TV, a quiet air conditioning system, and a large refrigerator that we could stock ourselves, although it is not necessary as the prices are not more expensive than in the supermarket. Everything is very, very clean and cleaned daily. But the other two rooms can also be recommended, as they are also furnished with great care. Unforgettable are visits to the night market, the sushi restaurant, or the Mongolian restaurant. And after 3 weeks of stay, also again at the German restaurant. The evenings with a cozy beer with other carefully chosen guests complete the stay. We must not forget the good breakfast. All in all, a wonderful holiday which becomes a unique experience thanks to his two well-behaved daughters. We must not forget Mod Applebaum, who introduced us to Thai cuisine. We will come back again this year.

Vicinity of the holiday home: Nur wenige km von Nai Harn Strand entfernt und mit Auto oder Roller leicht zu erreichen. Sehr ruhig in einem Seitenweg, mit Blick auf das etwas entfernte Meer.

free time activities: Zum Haus gehört ein sehr gut gepflegter Pool. Sportmöglichkeiten am Strand.

shopping facilities: Gute und preiswerte Restaurants sind ebenfalls gut zu erreichen. Empfehlen können wir als preiswerte Möglichkeit das Banana, besonders preiswert ist es im Kitchen Grill. Und falls es was besonderes sein soll das Ruean Thai. Übrigens den besten Italiener (besser als in Deutschland) gibt es dort ebenfalls. Alles in der gleichen Strasse und leicht mit dem Roller zu erreichen. Etliche Möglichkeiten zur Thai Massage. Empfehlen können wir das Top Massage allerdings ist dies in Karon.
