The City vacation home "Abalona 2" is part of a traditional half-timbered ensemble. It is just a stone's throw away from the historic marketplace and the pedestrian zone of Wernigerode.
Entrance area: Warm colors dominate and provide a pleasant contrast to the rustic Harz-style decor of the hallway.
Living area: Cozy living room with a couch (5th extra bed). The living room is tastefully yet practically furnished, with a large flat-screen TV and games available for guest entertainment. Vacationers find pure relaxation in the cozy courtyard. The bedrooms are located on the upper floor. These rooms also offer comfort and subtly highlight the medieval charm of the house, built in 1634. First bedroom on the upper floor equipped with a large box-spring bed (1.80 x 2.00 m), wardrobe, dresser with TV. Small details create a pleasant atmosphere. The second bedroom upstairs with a double bed (1.80 x 2.00m) and wardrobe provides guests with ample storage space to easily store belongings and luggage even during longer stays. The upstairs kitchen is equipped with a ceramic stove, oven, microwave, and toaster for all cases of small and big appetite. With the dishwasher, even the washing up is (almost) done by itself. The modern bathroom with a shower is located on the ground floor.
In 2025, the holiday home "Abalona 2" was extensively renovated. The attention to detail with which the craftsmen approached the task is felt by guests even before entering the house.

The Wernigeröder market place with the historical town hall is attainable from the holiday house Abalona 2 in less than two minutes by foot. Our guests thus live in the midst of the often centuries-old streets of Wernigerode and experience the very close romance on walks.
Around Wernigerode there are many hiking trails and sights. In a quarter of an hour guests of the holiday house Abalona 2 reach on foot the edge of the Harzer woods. The castle can be reached from the holiday home in a half-hour walk. The stops of the Schloßbahn and the Schloßkutschen are only 50m away from the holiday home.
The "Brockenbahn" takes you to the highest peak of Northern Germany. The train station is only five minutes' walk from the Abalona 2 holiday home.
The miniature park "Kleiner Harz" is definitely worth a visit and can be easily reached from the holiday home Abalona 2 with an eventful walk through Wernigerode.
The colourful Harz town of Wernigerode lies on the northern edge of the Harz Mountains, directly at the foot of Brocken, the highest mountain in northern Germany.
The restored half-timbered town with its approx. inhabitants belongs to the tourist conurbations of Central Germany and fascinates with countless sights and destinations for excursions.
A romantic stroll through the old town, the historic market square with the medieval town hall, the castle with its pleasure garden, the legendary Brocken, the East Harz hiking paradise with forests, lakes and streams or the Harz narrow-gauge railways, which steam and puff as far as Nordhausen in the southern Harz or on the Brocken, all these are just some of the countless highlights that you can expect in Wernigerode.
