Description

The holiday apartment is located in the Radolfzell district of Güttingen, is 38 sqm in size and offers you a living kitchen with kitchenette, dining area and sofa bed. This could, by arrangement, in individual cases and for an additional charge (see additional information), be used by a third person (140x200cm sleeping area). You yourself will stay in the separate bedroom with double bed. The bathroom is equipped with shower and toilet. You also have your own furnished terrace with barbecue facilities at your disposal. The holiday apartment includes a parking space directly at the house. If you arrive by train, you have the option to take the bus from Radolfzell station to Güttingen. The bus stop is about 500m from the house.

Location and surroundings of object

Our house is located directly on the lightly trafficked main road through the village of Güttingen. Access is via a cul-de-sac. However, due to the location of the holiday apartment facing a turning area (residents-only street), you will remain almost undisturbed by traffic. With about 1,300 inhabitants, Güttingen is a district of Radolfzell, situated directly on a spur of the Bodanrück and is an ideal starting point for numerous cycling and hiking tours around Lake Constance. By the way, it is between 3 and 4 km to Lake Constance, on well-developed cycling and pedestrian paths.
In town you will find a supermarket (including a bakery) within sight. If you don’t want to cook, you can enjoy good traditional cuisine in Güttingen. The special “attraction” in Güttingen is Lake Buchensee. The idyllic bathing lake can be reached in about a 5-minute walk and is managed during the summer months. Admission is free.

Children are welcome to stay with us! Please note, however, that there is only one sofa bed (140x200) available for the children, which should be removed during the day for reasons of space (dining area and "camp fever" in bad weather). For additional occupancy (2+), a surcharge of 10€ per person and night will be made for persons 10 years and older. The rental price refers to a minimum of 3 nights in the low season. Bed linen/towels are included. There is also a visitor's tax per person over 15 years and day. This is based on the current rates of the city of Radolfzell.

Holiday home

We (couple, 55 years) were greeted kindly by Mrs Wittmann at our holiday home and introduced to the premises. Even our late arrival (many construction sites and traffic jams) was no problem. We called again from the road and announced our delay.
If we had any questions or anything else, we could contact the family without any problems. We found many information brochures and a folder with all the important or sporting addresses.

The flat is equipped with all the necessary items, including a microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee machine. There is also a sufficient amount of crockery. We didn't really miss anything.

The local bathing lake is within walking distance, as is the grocery store (Netto).

We used the flat as a base for our day trips (Radolfzell, pile dwellings, Skywalk, Mainau, Rhine Falls and Mount Säntis in Switzerland) and were very satisfied with the transport links to all destinations.

We felt very comfortable in the flat and found very friendly landlords in the Wittmann family. If you are looking for accommodation for day trips, walks, etc., you are in good hands here. If you are looking for entertainment in the evenings, you will find it 3-5 km away in Radolfzell.

Na ja

The apartment was okay and really clean. The contact with the landlady was sparse. Due to a date error, I had booked one more day, which I corrected properly a week before arrival. It wouldn't be a problem. Three weeks before arrival, the amount should have been transferred, which I did. There were no further bookings immediately before and after us. I did not get the money back for the extra paid night, as it would not have been rentable during that time. Legally probably okay, but it wasn't very hospitable. And the tourist tax was withheld right away. Seems more interested in money than guests. No interest in going back there.

Vicinity of the holiday home: So ruhig wie beschrieben, ist die Wohnung nicht. Zwar liegt sie in einer Sackgasse, aber gleich gegenüber des Hauses liegt eine Landstraße ausserhalb geschlossener Ortschaft.

free time activities: Der Freizeitwert am Bodensee ist generell hoch

shopping facilities: In direkter Reichweite ein Diskounter. Ansonsten drei Kilometer fahren. War ok

Sehr geehrter Herr Koschnitzki, vielen Dank für Ihre Bewertung. Es bedarf für künftige Leser jedoch einiger Erläuterungen. Leider erklären Sie nicht welche Art Kontakt Sie erwarteten/ vermissten? Generell aber versuchen wir uns unseren, meist ruhesuchenden Gästen nicht aufzudrängen. Was Lärmempfinden angeht ist das zugegebenermaßen eine sehr subjektive Sache. Die von Ihnen genannte Landstraße außerhalb geschlossener Ortschaft (B34), befindet sich aber von unserer Wohnung ca. 340m Luftlinie entfernt und ist durch Umgebungsbebauung und Bewuchs von unserer Wohnung abgeschirmt. Die hinter unserem Haus (und von der FeWo abgewandt) liegende Straße L220 befindet sich innerorts und ist auf 40km/h beschränkt und wird auf unserer Homepage erwähnt. Wir freuen uns jedoch darüber dass unsere Kinder und ihre Spielkameraden nicht negativ zu ihrer Einschätzung über die Umgebung der Wohnung beigetragen haben. Auf Grund Ihres ursprünglich gebuchten Zeitraums konnten zwei vorhergehende Anfragen wegen Terminüberschneidung nicht angenommen werden, dies haben wir besprochen. Unser Angebot die zuviel gebuchte Nacht bei einer folgenden Buchung anzurechnen stand dagegen nach wie vor. Bei aller objektiven Betrachtung Ihrer Bewertung, zum Schluß noch etwas Persönliches: Unsere Gastfreundlichkeit hat dann ihre Grenzen, wenn der Gast abreist und, vermutlich wegen eines Mißgeschicks, eine ganze Wand gestrichen werden muss. Nicht weil es passiert ist, sondern weil es wohl kein Problem gewesen wäre uns dies mitzuteilen. Hier schließt sich auch der Kreis zum "spärlichen Kontakt" mit der Vermieterin!?
