Location and surroundings of object

This picturesque, quiet, pretty holiday resort is built like its own little white village in the town of Nerja. It is located above the center, idyllic and green on the slope, and looks like a typical 'Pueblo Blanco' in Andalusia.
Above that, you will find only the natural park with pines and rocks - it is this border to the natural park where the Penthouse Arcos de Capistrano is located. Usually, a herd of goats even passes by opposite the terrace every evening. Of course, mostly in the mornings as well, but you have to be an early riser to observe that. . .

Terraced, San Juan de Capistrano nestles against the Capistrano hill and looks like its own white Andalusian mountain village, although it is a part of Nerja. Right behind or above the apartment, as mentioned, begins the protected nature park. This location is something very special, you live right at the 'Parque Natural'. During the day, in the large lagoon-like pool area with lawns (to lay your towels on), rental lounges, rock island, and watercourses, adults relax in one of the two cafes, where they can always get a cool drink or a tasty snack. Kids quickly make friends with their peers (and of course get an ice cream at the bar). For small children, there is a separate lawn section with a toddler pool, just a few steps away. The facility is very well-maintained and with international visitors, it enriches every guest's experience. In the urbanization, you will also find a very good restaurant with a rooftop bar and a great sea view there - in the summer even up to 4 (2 more quite inconspicuously below the pool) restaurants/bars. A small supermarket is usually open from Easter to often even around November 20. Also down the slope, about 10 minutes away, you will find a very nice part of the beach with two beach bars. There is a Coviran supermarket 700 meters away where you can buy all the necessary groceries.

The next two very large supermarkets (at least one of which also delivers goods, even up the slope to this holiday apartment) can be reached in 2 minutes by car, or on foot if necessary, just like a bakery. Nerja is the perfect mix of culture and cuisine with typical bars and ancient bodegas. The beautiful old town of the seaside resort on the Costa del Sol is wonderful and still quite original or well and often originally restored.

The beaches are probably among the most beautiful in the area - also in the neighboring town of Torrox-Costa and between these two coastal areas. Burriana Beach is located right at the foot of the Capistrano hill.
City beaches, natural beaches, as well as sports and recreational activities make the vacation very diverse. Nerja is an ideal starting point for radial excursions to all the places of interest in Andalusia.

The climate is generally suitable year-round for a vacation involving sun, culture, or sports. With the numerous excursion options, you can make your vacation culturally and scenically very interesting.
Hikers will also find a true mecca here.

And to clarify again, as there are often misunderstandings about this:
The highway runs about 60 meters deep in the tunnel!

The flat is very nicely furnished and well equipped, we would book it again anytime. The kitchen has everything you need for daily use, which is unfortunately not always the case. The flat is super clean and you notice that everything is very well maintained. The terrace is a real highlight with a wonderful view over Nerja and guarantees peace and privacy as it is not visible. There is no direct eye contact with the neighbours, so you are undisturbed and can enjoy the peace and quiet. The photos shown on the internet reflect the holiday home very well. We immediately felt at home, enjoyed the sunsets from the terrace and experienced a lot within a week due to our excursions to Malaga, Frigiliana and Cordoba. San Juan Capistrano is a well-kept and absolutely idyllic part of Nerja with many winding alleys, but also many steps! A walk down (approx. 25 min.) to the beach or into the old town always went well. For the way back, we treated ourselves to a taxi. Since we wanted to be flexible, we rented a car for a week directly at the airport from Helle Hollis. We found the company to be uncomplicated and fair. Good prices and reliable service. The communication with Mrs. Irrgang and her team is very friendly, uncomplicated, helpful and courteous. Dear Mrs Irrgang, thank you very much for everything and for the beautiful holiday flat, which we will recommend at any time. A great week with many beautiful impressions and memories in glorious sunshine is behind us. What more could you want!

Wir stellen ab Januar 2026 alle unsere Ferienobjekte in neue umfangreiche 'zweite' Annoncen in diesem Portal hier ein - mit sehr vielen Fotos und Beschreibungen.
