Holiday home Fortress View

The vacation house is small and comfortably furnished. Everything you need is available. It is very clean and has an unbeatable location in the beautiful landscape. Our four-legged friends are always allowed. They can move around freely in the garden. On sunny days, you can also sit comfortably in the garden. You have a direct view of the Elbe River and the Königstein Fortress. You can start hiking right from the front door. We have been there several times and have always felt very comfortable.

Immer wieder

We finally managed to book the holiday property again and were very satisfied as always. Unfortunately, we also had the misfortune that the access road in Bad Schandau was closed due to construction work at that time. Thanks to the description provided by the landlord, it was no problem to find the detour through the national park.
We can only recommend the property - the view of the Königstein Fortress and the Elbe river every day was amazing.

It couldn't have been more dreamlike!

We had a wonderful vacation in this small, fine holiday home. Not only for us, but also our Bordeaux Mastiff relaxed perfectly on the completely fenced property. The location, with a direct view of Königstein Fortress, is postcard-perfect. Everything is there to have a pleasant time. In addition, the very friendly and uncomplicated landlords with whom you can contact at any time if necessary. We will definitely come back. A real insider tip, especially if a dog is with you!

Everything is great!

We have spent our vacation in this great holiday home not for the first time. A little paradise for our dog, as he can move around freely here. The house is equipped with everything we need for a cozy holiday. The seating behind the house invites you to linger and enjoy the occasional barbecue evening. The location is simply enchanting with a view of the Elbe River and the fortress. Even though there may be the occasional train passing on the other side of the Elbe, we quickly got used to it, and it didn't bother us at all. This place serves as the starting point for so many tours, whether it's hiking, cycling, or other activities; so much is possible from here. The hosts are super friendly and always attentive. For us, it's certain: We would love to come back.

Light and Shadow

Location of the accommodation is very nice but also very loud! Every 5 minutes a train on the other side of the Elbe, not nice at all. Property for dogs is great. The described CD player was missing, an oven, and most importantly mosquito nets! We were very bitten and limited in our choice of food! The accommodation is very tight but sufficient for two people. I wouldn't want to be there with four! Otherwise, the cottage is great and the area is top for hiking! ! ! At this price, a certain amount of electricity may already be included. Dishwasher out and oven in!

Small but fine house with a great view

We spent a very nice week in the Saxon Switzerland. 2 adults and two children had enough space in the well-equipped cozy holiday home. We quickly got used to the trains passing by on the other side of the Elbe, even at night. Thanks to the ferry connection to Königstein train station, we were able to reach almost all excursion destinations without a car.

Fortress view

Our expectations were more than exceeded. A very friendly welcome by the landlord, wonderful location. We were particularly taken with the seating area in the bay window with a view of the Königstein. The property is ideal for dogs. In numerous excursions and walks with the dog, we were able to get to know the immediate and wider surroundings. Unfortunately, the time was far too short. We will gladly come again.

A red house in the midst of nature.

Cozy dollhouse in a beautiful location - the view from the dining table bay window overlooking the Elbe River and the fortress is outstanding. Snuggle warmth from the built-in fireplace. Great relaxation in the back garden, which offers a bit more privacy than the reading bench in front of the house. Top retreat for all-around relaxation from everyday life. We would love to come back.

Eine Oase der Ruhe

We had a great time with our 2 dogs in the simply furnished holiday home and felt very comfortable all around. A place to recharge and relax. The many hikers and cyclists passing by the house did not bother us. The view of the Elbe River and Königstein Fortress makes you forget about everyday life. We did a lot of hiking (highly recommended: upper lock in the Kirnitzschtal and the "Schwedenlöcher" from the Bastei via the Amselfall and Amselsee to Rathen), went cycling, both easily accessible from the house. We saw a lot (Bastei, Neurathen rock castle, Pirna, Stadt Wehlen, Königstein Fortress). A completely successful and beautiful holiday.

An ideal place to relax.

The small but lovely wooden house is ideally located to start your hikes or bike tours from there - away from any everyday hustle and bustle. Sheep and goats still shape the appearance across from Königstein in Halbestadt. We definitely enjoyed the place. The nights were still very chilly, so we really appreciated the fireplace. You should get briquettes for it in the hardware store or BHG, as heating the house electrically can be quite expensive. Otherwise, the landlord is very open and friendly and always has an open ear for small problems. We will definitely come back sometime. Have fun everyone!

Holiday home with a dream view

This charming holiday cottage with a great view of Königstein Fortress is highly recommended! We stayed there with our dog, who explored the completely enclosed property anew every day. So it's perfect for dog owners, but also for hikers, as you can start beautiful tours directly from the holiday home and for anyone who wants to explore the Saxon Switzerland. The landlords are very nice. In the cold season, the fireplace provides cozy warmth. We will definitely come back!

Ferienidyll

A great holiday home! Fantastic location! Very nice landlords! Perfectly suited for hikers, nature lovers, but also for special excursions. Absolutely dreamy view of Königstein Fortress. This house is very suitable for dogs as the property is completely fenced. If we can manage it, we would love to go back!

Vicinity of the holiday home: Tolle Lage mit Blick auf Elbe und die Festung Königstein! Gut erreichbar - auch mit Bahn und Fähre sowie mit dem Schaufelraddampfer ab Dresden!!!

free time activities: Vielseitige Ausflugsmöglichkeiten wie z.B. Wandern, Radfahren, Schifffahrten, Besichtigungen v. Schlössern, Burgen und Gärten, Dresden. Aktivity pur: Hochseilgarten, Kanutouren, Speedbootfahren, Schwimmbäder.

shopping facilities: O.K.: Bad Schandau und Königstein (hier kann man auch die Fähre zur Überfahrt nutzen und Lebensmittel einkaufen.
