Really exceptional and recommendable

We, four adults, were looking for a secluded holiday home in a beautiful landscape with a bit of comfort to "let our souls dangle". We found a little gem that exceeded our expectations: This wonderful Swedish house, located by fields and forests, leaves nothing to be desired and offers all comforts. The pellet stove spread cozy warmth and an absolute fireplace feeling, the sauna was used diligently, although we did not test the swimming pond due to the outdoor temperatures, it added to the idyll perfectly. What could be more beautiful than having the first coffee in the morning on the wooden terrace overlooking the pond, listening to the birds and watching the squirrels? We were really completely undisturbed! The house can accommodate six guests and has upscale and well-kept furnishings, even a washing machine and dryer can be found in one of the two bathrooms. The beds are great. The kitchen is well-equipped for culinary adventures. Our "guys" were thrilled with the ping pong table in the garage, by the way! During our trips, we were always impressed by how beautiful the landscape of the Rhön region is. Cycling tours seem to be recommended, we saw many well-developed bike paths! The cherry on top was the really nice contact with Mr. Jahn, who is easily reachable, responds in record time – and kindly even sent us something we had forgotten: Many thanks for that and for the good care, Mr. Jahn! We will gladly come back!

Swedish Romanticism in the Rhön

Cosy cottage on the edge of the forest, the nicest in the area, you felt alone but not isolated despite neighbouring bungalows. The wood stove was used day and night to keep the heat storage ( floor, warm water) at temperature. The sauna was a welcome oasis of peace
It would be nice to have reliable, bright outside lighting at the garage and on the stairs / entrance and good, cosy inside lighting at the sofa ( floor lamp, spotlight or similar) Also wish there was more space in the kitchen cupboard to store food
By the way, it was good to do sports, table tennis, hiking, fire up the stove several times a day
Good recreation in the beautiful home Rhön.

It would be nice to have reliable, bright outdoor lighting at the garage and on the stairs/entrance, and good, cozy indoor lighting by the sofa (floor lamp, spotlight, etc.). ) One also wishes for more space in the kitchen cabinet to store food.
You could also engage in sports activities, playing table tennis, hiking, and fueling the oven multiple times a day.
Good relaxation in the beautiful homeland of Rhön.

14 days of SILENCE at last

Great house, where we immediately felt at home. Ideal to get away from it all, but if you need internet all the time you will be lonely here, but you can have a great chat with the locals. Will definitely come back to log the rest of the numerous geocaches.

super beautiful house with all comforts, sauna and swimming pond, idyllic location at the edge of the forest, ideal for skiing or snowboarding near Wasserkuppe, hiking opportunities right on site, very tastefully furnished, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a vacation.
The hosts are very nice! Super atmosphere. We come regularly and look forward to the great surroundings and the cozy, well-equipped, and so special house every time!

The beautiful Rhön

We were there with our 3 children. The house was very pleasant for all of us. The property is really large, the pond is beautifully designed, and you can relax wonderfully with a coffee on the terrace. If you are lucky, you could see the squirrels scurrying by from the breakfast table. Everything is very idyllic overall. The bread roll hook around the corner was also practical. The weather wasn't quite optimal, but there is still a lot to experience in the Rhön. We really enjoyed the Rhön and unfortunately had to head back towards Frankfurt after a week.

free time activities: Es gibt einen kleinen Freizeitpark in Meiningen, Sommerrodeln und vieles mehr auf der Wasserkuppe, eine Kutschfahrt im Nachbarort, Fulda mit der Kinderakademie und sicher noch einiges mehr.

shopping facilities: Mehrere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in Hilders vorhanden.

Super vacation!!

Very quietly located holiday home at the end of a street, in a very small residential area. The holiday home is equipped with everything you could wish for to have a relaxing vacation. The bathing pond right in front of the terrace practically invites you to dive in! Especially after a sauna session—just great!
The spacious property offers everyone, when multiple people are present, a retreat to relax, read a book, or simply gaze at the sky and watch the birds! Hiking trails and the Rhön bike path starting right at the front door invite you to use them. If you enjoy peace, nature, and movement, you are exactly right HERE!!! VERY NICE LANDLORD!

Vicinity of the holiday home: Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass Sie Rhön so schön ist - sie wird eigentlich viel zu stiefmütterlich behandelt und steht doch renomierten Gebieten, wie z. B. dem Schwarzwald oder dem Bayrischen Wald in nichts nach, eher im Gegenteil!

free time activities: Die 5 km entfernte Wasserkuppe bietet von Sommerrodeln über Skifahren alles, was man im freien gerne unternimmt

shopping facilities: Im Ort kaum bis keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, man muss in das 6 km entfernte Hilders am Besten mit dem Auto fahren - ohne Auto ist der Urlaub hier schierig!
