Fonyód lies on the southern shore of Lake Balaton. The location of the town can be seen from afar by the two highest mountains on the southern shore of the lake, which rise next to each other, the 207-metre Sipos Mountain and the 233-metre Vár Mountain, a beautiful panorama of the lake. One part of the house with a very pleasant atmosphere and furnished with practical furniture is located in a quiet, peaceful environment, very close to the town centre. Completely renovated and very tastefully furnished. There is a living room with terrace on the ground floor, 3 bedrooms, a kitchen with dining room and a bathroom on the first floor. You can easily reach shopping facilities and the famous Fonyód market. The owner occupies the other part of the house with a completely separate entrance. The beautiful, large well-maintained garden with an outdoor seating area serves as a pleasant place to relax and is an excellent retreat for children. Free WI-FI is available. It is possible to use the air conditioning upstairs. The town beach can also be reached on foot, which is real all-day fun for children as there is a well-designed children's playground with water toys and good buffets.
In the surroundings of Fonyód, you can swim at five free beaches without paying an entrance fee: - Árpád beach (Fonyódliget) - Báthori utca ("Zsolnay" beach) (Bélatelep) - Bélatelep free beach (Bélatelep) - Huszka utca beach (Bélatelep) - The municipal free beach Panoráma beach is chargeable, but it is worth it, as it is a versatile 4-star Blue Flag bathing place that offers one of the most beautiful panoramas of the Balaton coast. Beach-like sandy bays have been built from the sand of Lake Balaton, where small children can build castles and sculptures from the velvety sand all summer long. This is the closest to home. The 464-metre-long breakwater, which offers the longest and most beautiful view of the Balaton coast, was built in 1906. It forms a defining part of today's Fonyód with the harbour and the function rooms, shops and restaurants built next to it. In summer there is also a mini amusement park with a Ferris wheel. And you can see many top-class performances on the outdoor stage. On the pier there is a work by István Kiss, Páros nude, and in the park Antal Lányi, a memorial column erected in honour of the first crossing of Lake Balaton. Kripta Villa - The café with a special atmosphere in a romantic Mediterranean building advertises the most beautiful panorama in the world. In Fonyód we find the section of the Balaton Cycle Route that offers the most beautiful panorama of the north coast. If you want to try it out, bring your bike or rent one locally and off you go ! And if you prefer splashing around in the thermal water, you can easily reach the Csisztapuszta spa by bike, which is located near the shore of Lake Balaton, about 4 km from Fonyód. Many people like and visit Csiszta Fürdő because of the mineral-rich water, which has a beneficial effect on every part of us from head to toe.

Wonderful house
Very nice and clean house and great quiet area. About 20 minutes walk to the beach and 15 minutes to the centre and shopping
The owner lives in a separate house on the property, she is so nice and helpful. I can only recommend it to everyone.

Beautiful family holiday in Hungary
We felt very comfortable. The house was very clean and homely. The furnishings corresponded to the pictures. The owner of the house lived next door and was very friendly and helpful. Only the shower on the upper floor drained incorrectly due to an unfavourable slope, a curtain might be helpful here. You have to bring your own tea towels.
In retrospect, we were a bit confused about the location on the website: 0.9 km to the centre, 0.5 km to the shops, etc. The house is about 1.5 km from the centre. The house is about 1,5km from the beach in Napsugar Utca, not as indicated on the map in Szent Istvan Utca. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to walk to the beach, about 10 minutes to the wonderful Piac and about 10 minutes to the shops (Spar, bakery etc.).
