Description
We offer space for a maximum of 4 people on our 250-year-old mill property in a romantic forest and meadow valley, in an absolutely secluded location. For 2 people it is "luxurious", for 4 it is slowly getting cramped, but with 2 children it is fine. We have made an effort to preserve the historical flair of our mill and have also furnished the apartment in an organic-historical way. Modern bathroom, choice of central heating or wood stove. Extensive outdoor area with pond, brook, meadows, horses, goats, chickens and other animals as neighbours. Fireplace and romantic places to be outside undisturbed. Here the cock still crows and the tawny owl calls in the quiet of the night. A place for individualists who seek peace and reflection in nature and want to forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Nestled in the forest landscape of the Kellerwald and 15 minutes by car from the beautiful Kellerwald National Park, Lake Edersee and the beautiful old world spa of Bad Wildungen. Take the opportunity to relax for a few days in unagitated surroundings and unusual ambience.

Location and surroundings of object
Located between the forest villages of Hundsdorf and Armsfeld in the wildly romantic Urfftal with its traditional cultural landscape and extensive forests. The mill stands on the meadow floor between the forests by the stream, and since we have let many trees grow undisturbed for 40 years, we have plenty of them, so that the forest seamlessly extends into our property. At night it gets really dark and except for a few cars, beautifully quiet. Directly from the house, fantastic hiking routes begin, which we are happy to show you. We have carefully revived a small 18th-century North Hessian farmhouse here after it stood empty until 1956, preserving as much as possible from the past so that it can also be a small journey through time for the guest. We live together with numerous chickens, peacocks, cats, dogs, and 2 horses, which more or less roam around freely and are extremely exciting especially for children, as experience has shown.
This place is a beautiful spot to connect with nature or Mother Earth, if one is still interested in such things.

The entire Fe-Wo has been built according to organic building principles, leaving historical elements as far as possible. The furnishings are simple, but complete and tasteful. You don't need the usual media offer with TV, video and co. here, W-LAN connection/internet are available. For hot summer days you can use our beautiful cool half-timbered hall, which is your separate entrance area. For cold winter days you have the choice between fire in the stove or central heating gas. As we have a very extensive, very changeable outdoor area here, you can choose a nice spot outside and retreat to the forest shade, pond, stream or meadow. We are happy to help with the supply of good, locally produced food. The special charm of this holiday home is the organic embedding in nature, which in our view is the most important part of the furnishing of the domicile!

A place to find oneself again
A very quiet, idyllic place.
The rain has made the whole atmosphere even more mystical and cozy.
The landlords are very wonderful people. We had good conversations, a profound exchange about the world and nature, and really received many exciting tips for exploring the area.
Our son loved the animals, especially the friendly goats. Colorful forests, valleys with babbling brooks; fire salamanders, birds, mushrooms, half-timbered houses... the camera is full, the heart just as much.

...what a fate! Connection between humans and nature.
Our short vacation as a family of four at this fantastic place left nothing to be desired. We were received so warmly, and the buildings are so enchanting that we felt at home in no time. What a vibe and atmosphere in this spot on earth, truly unique.

Our stay in the holiday apartment at Hetschold Mühle was simply fantastic! The location is great - right in the beautiful Waldecker Land, perfect for relaxed walks and excursions in nature. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcomed us warmly.
The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and very comfortably furnished. We felt comfortable immediately and were able to enjoy the peaceful surroundings to the fullest. This holiday apartment is definitely recommended for anyone looking to spend a relaxing time in an idyllic area. We would love to come back.

Wonderful break
I just realized that I haven't reviewed this accommodation yet. We have been here twice already, unfortunately both times too short. The location is as described, right on the edge of the forest. The chickens and peacocks roam freely here and there are also horses. The cozy apartment is in an annex and is big enough for a family with one or two children. Everything you need is available and when we arrived, small vases with wildflower bouquets were placed in the apartment. Very attentive! At the time of our trip, there was a table football in the hall on the ground floor, which was gladly used, and board games were played in the beautifully grown garden. Markus willingly explains everything about the animals to children, which is of course exciting. There is a lot to discover all around, Edersee, Wildpark, the TreeTopWalk, Bad Wildungen or Fritzlar can be easily reached from the mill. We hope to be able to stop by again this year, hopefully for a few more days.
