Great time out
My wife and I were looking for accommodation for the long weekend over Ascension Day to find some peace and quiet, relaxation in beautiful surroundings and atmosphere, and opportunities for cycling and hiking. We found all of that here in Barenaue.
The small flat is very cosy, fully furnished and very clean. We didn't want for anything. The landlords are very friendly and attentive. The park-like property invites you to linger and relax. You can simply let your soul dangle in absolute peace and quiet.
The Mittelland Canal is in the immediate vicinity and ideal for cycling. Many signposted cycle paths make beautiful tours possible.
Conclusion: the accommodation is highly recommended. We would book again at any time.

Soothing and relaxing
It's like a gift that my mother and I came across Schloss Neu-Barenaue in our search for holiday accommodation. Hidden behind and under old oaks, it is a place where one can escape the hectic hustle and bustle in a soothing way. Although only a few kilometers from Bramsche and a few hundred meters from the B 218, one feels far away. We were able to spend five beautiful and relaxing days here in early September 2020.
With great love, the von Bar couple have set up tasteful holiday apartments in the old estate barn. It can be seen and felt how carefully the couple takes care of the apartments and the property. Everything is very clean and well maintained. They are extremely helpful and friendly in their efforts to make their guests feel comfortable.
The apartment appears bright and spacious with its two large windows, which offer a view of the beautiful park-like garden. Thanks to the mild late summer weather, we were able to enjoy it extensively from the terrace as well.
We also enjoyed setting off on bike rides directly from the house, for example along the Mittelland Canal. Cycle paths and hiking trails pass by in the immediate vicinity. With the Kalkriese Museum and Park, the Tuchmacher Museum Bramsche, Schloss Hünnefeld, and numerous other attractions, there is much to discover in the nearby area.
We felt very comfortable and wonderfully relaxed. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the von Bar couple for their hospitality. We would be happy to come back and can definitely recommend the apartment.
