Very nice accommodation in a good location

Nora's house is well equipped, with the only thing missing being a dishwasher. The television is brand new, and the internet is great after initial difficulties. The outdoor shower is fantastic. Nora really takes care of everything that is missing or not working properly. The beach, supermarket, and tavern are within walking distance. In the area, you can go on very beautiful hikes. We were very impressed by everything.

Unforgettable vacation in Corfu

We have only been back home for a few days and we already want to go back to the north of Corfu. Everything was deeply impressive. The nature, the tranquility, the people, the sea, the mountains, and our wonderful accommodation at Nora's. This property is an oasis. Full of blooming plants, edible cacti, olive trees, and much more. A place to feel good, where one can let their soul dangle. Everything is perfect. We are grateful to have spent our time there. Family from Berlin

My family and I had a great 2 weeks in Corfu. We never thought that Corfu is so beautiful. The mountains and the sea are a perfect combination to feel completely comfortable. The beaches are not crowded even in high season.
The restaurants in the area are highly recommended - especially in the Taverna Petra down by the beach, you can eat great. The service is very attentive. They even bring mosquito spray to each table in case there are too many insects.
The holiday home has a fantastic location with a great view of the mountains. It is well equipped - nothing was missing. The pool makes the accommodation perfect.
Nora is a lovely and caring hostess. We can definitely recommend the holiday home. We will definitely come back.

A nice island and a nice hostess.

I didn't know what to expect and relied on the recommendation of my partner, who knew this area of Corfu. We stayed for two weeks and I was overwhelmed by the landscape in the north, around the highest mountain of Corfu, Pantokrator, which reminds a little of the pre-alpine region in southern Germany and invites to go hiking. There are also plenty of cultural and scenic sights in the form of old Venetian castles and fortresses of the British, and a capital with many old charming houses. You can reach all places with a small (!), well-powered rental car, driving through narrow village streets and over steep switchbacks, which provided me, as an enthusiastic car enthusiast, with a lot of fun. The car can be parked on a parking space of the apartment.

It's a little too early for swimming in April. Unfortunately, the filled pool of the apartment did not tempt us. However, our likeable hostess Nora couldn't help that, who welcomed us with her own homemade olive oil and supported us with advice and action at any time.

The apartment is tastefully furnished, offers enough space in 3 rooms for a family with two children, and has a large terrace with dining area and sun loungers. The property, to which the hostess's house also belongs, is large and very quiet, off the connecting road.

Nevertheless, you can reach Acharavi, the nearest town with all shopping facilities, restaurants, and cafes, in a few minutes by car. The beach is only a few minutes' walk from the apartment. The capital, which is definitely worth a visit, can be reached by car in a good three-quarters of an hour.

Two weeks were not enough to see everything we had planned. We will definitely come back and then Nora's holiday apartment will be our first choice.

Dream holiday on the beautiful island of Corfu

My husband and I spent a dream holiday in the north of Corfu. Although it was late October, it felt like a warm late summer. Very pleasantly warm temperatures. In St. Spiridon, it is wonderful to walk along the coast and admire the varied nature. The water temperature from the sea was also warm and inviting for a swim

The flat was just inviting to relax and there is really everything you need. We especially enjoyed breakfast under the olive tree on the terrace in front of the flat. The views from the property of the lagoon, the olive groves, magnificent sunrises and sunsets and the sea were pure holiday. The property is very well maintained and has a large and beautiful pool terrace

Supermarkets and the beautiful town of Acharavi are just 5 minutes away by car. There are also great shops and restaurants. Just like the romantic harbour town of Cassiopi, which is only 10 minutes away in the other direction. A day trip to Corfu town is also recommended.

The hostess Nora took wonderful care of us and was never intrusive. If we had a question, she helped us quickly and without complications. We received recommendations for the most beautiful places and are very grateful for them. As guests, you really have the feeling of being warmly welcomed

For pure holidays and relaxation, wide sandy beaches, traditional restaurants, historical sightseeing and wonderful hospitality, we can only recommend Villa Nora. I could write much more, which we always remember fondly, even though we were only there for a week. We will definitely be back. Clear recommendation!!!

Hiking holiday with swimming stops

Dear Nora.

Thank you very much for a wonderful week in your holiday flat. We enjoyed the morning swim in the nice pool every day. There was a lot of space around the flat because of the spacious and well-kept garden. Thank you also for washing and drying our clothes. We had very good conversations with the other guests (2 couples). This shows us again and again that your accommodation has an enormous attraction for individual tourists. The location Agios Spiridon was ideal for excursions to the north and northwest and of course to the east to Kassiopi. Everywhere we could enjoy the wonderful beaches. Only hiking on larger tours lasting several hours was only possible near the beach with wind at the end of May because of the high temperatures

Relaxation on Corfu

After 14 days with Nora, we are totally relaxed! The beautiful, perfectly equipped holiday home with a view of the green mountains is a fantastic place to discover Corfu. Wellness vacation

Already when opening the door of the holiday home for the first time, we immediately felt comfortable. The sun-drenched living room with kitchen and the two bedrooms are furnished with love and great taste. The large terrace with a beautiful view of the garden and the lovely landscape is also a dream, and my friend and I used it extensively for extended breakfasts and also in the evening with a glass of wine. If you want to relax and unwind, this is the right place. Sports, jogging, and long walks are also possible. You can walk to the beach. We were particularly impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of Detlef and Nora. They provided us with valuable tips about the island and were always there for us when we had questions. We felt so comfortable that we immediately booked our next vacation with them in 2021. The holiday home Nora and the two owners are simply great!

Dreamy family vacation

In August 2020, we were guests at Ferienhaus Nora for the second year in a row and spent another 3 wonderful weeks here.
The holiday apartment consists of two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a living area with a kitchen. The apartment is lovingly furnished and the kitchen is very well equipped. The apartment was always very clean and is spacious enough for a family of four. The outdoor shower was particularly popular with the whole family. From the terrace, you have a beautiful view of the garden and the surrounding countryside.
This year, we felt completely comfortable, almost like at home, which is of course also due to the warmth of the dear hosts. Nora and Detlef are always available to help and can recommend the most beautiful beaches, the best taverns, and the most worthwhile excursion destinations. Detlef also supported us in finding a rental car, thank you very much for that. Our children (4 and 8 years old) were especially enthusiastic about the pool and explored the beautifully designed property down to the last corner.
Dear Nora, dear Detlef, thank you very much for the wonderful time we were able to spend with you. Our vacation was only a week ago and we would love to go back to the beautiful island of Corfu now. We will definitely come back and are already looking forward to seeing you again!

Luxury apartment in Corfu

Beautiful and carefree ...

We spent a week in July 2020 in the holiday home with Detlef and Nora, and it was a vacation without any deductions, just as you would wish for. It started with a very uncomplicated booking and offers of support, including for the rental car. From the first email exchange, we felt in good hands. The location of the holiday home is very appealing: among olive trees, very quiet and on an extremely well-kept property. The view from the hillside property over the sea to Albania is beautiful. Detlef and Nora are very pleasant and attentive hosts, with many tips for restaurants, excursions, and beautiful beaches. A beautiful bathing bay and beautiful beaches (two in a nearby nature reserve) can be reached on foot in 10-15 minutes. At one of the beaches, a motorboat can be rented on a daily basis without a boating license (highly recommended!). We would have loved to stay longer...

the perfect vacation

Before our arrival, there was a nice and informative exchange with Detlef. On the day of arrival, we were picked up by him at the airport and already received a lot of information about the places and sights. At the holiday location, all beaches, shopping options, and entrances for walks or hikes were shown to us. The vacation rental is well-equipped, with the terrace offering a unique view into the greenery being particularly noteworthy. Wonderful holiday among olive trees

We had a wonderful holiday at Nora and Detlef's! The two of them are very warm, helpful, and accommodating. The house, the location, the garden, the entire property, are simply a dream! Detlef's little tour upon our arrival was very helpful, and we were able to immediately get an impression of the surroundings, the best beaches, and taverns. Everything is very clean and tidy, and whenever we needed something, they were both right there. Corfu is a wonderful, very green island. Many very beautiful beaches are within walking distance, so you actually don't need the wonderful pool with a sea view ;-) You have peace and yet don't feel far away from the action. Shopping facilities are also easily accessible on foot. We still rented a car for the time and were able to take some nice trips to the nearby larger cities, visit a donkey sanctuary, and check out the sights in the area. Nora and Detlef have many large and beautiful olive trees in the garden, along with various fruit trees, so now we can enjoy the delicious olive oil from our own harvest at home as a little keepsake. Corfu - an unusually green island with countless olive trees, cypresses, flowers, and herbs, as well as a rugged coast with charming coves and idyllic beaches, made the holiday a unique experience from a landscape perspective. A significant factor in our exceptionally beautiful two-week vacation in May was the holiday home "Nora" and our hosts. The holiday home impressed us without reservation - you arrive and immediately feel very comfortable. It is completely furnished and equipped, very clean and well-maintained, and is located in a very quiet and fantastic property. From the terrace, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and the large garden with olive, mirabelle, and lemon trees, palms, and oleanders. Nora and Detlef are particularly lovable, unobtrusively attentive, and caring. It is noticeably important to them that the guests feel comfortable. Your tips and recommendations (arranging the rental car, destinations etc.) are interesting and helpful. Occasionally, they surprised us with little gifts. The olive oil was excellent, the jam, the strawberry cake and the fruits were delicious. Our conclusion: there exist paradises and perfect hosts who are also very kind. You will have to get used to the idea that we will come back.

Fantastic location, great holiday home, wonderful hosts

Long before our two-week stay, Detlef very kindly made contact and provided us with valuable tips when we asked. On arrival, it immediately felt like a holiday with good friends. Detlef's "travel guide hour by car" to all the beautiful beaches, recommendable tavernas and practical shopping possibilities in the vicinity is an unbeatable service!!!! Beautiful, clean and stunningly located holiday home in a huge garden. The two FeWos (4 beds each) and the studio (2 beds) each have a separate outdoor shower on the large terrace. We especially liked that, because we have never showered before with such a grandiose view to the sea. Next to the well-maintained pool, there is another shower, sun loungers and umbrellas and a barbecue area. And while splashing around in the pool, you can enjoy the view of the mountains! Agios Spiridon is a quiet place even in high season and beautiful beaches are within walking distance or a short drive away. Dear Nora, dear Detlef, we thank you for your hospitality and openness! Beautiful property in a perfect location with very friendly hosts!!!

We stayed with 3 adults, a toddler and a baby for 11 days in April in this beautiful holiday flat and had enough space and all amenities for a very relaxing holiday. Detlef and Nora welcomed us very nicely and were always available to answer all our questions. We especially liked the lushly flowering garden at this time of year. Wonderful holiday with Nora & Detlef

We spent great days with Nora & Detlef with our two children. The flat is in a wonderfully quiet location on a hillside. It was excellently equipped. The roller blinds on the windows are particularly noteworthy. Since we are used to sleeping in the dark, we felt right at home. The mosquito screens also served their purpose. The outdoor shower was also great, so we could wash off the sand after a day at the beach. The pool was the highlight for our two children. Thanks to Detlef's little tour on the first day, we quickly found our way around and his insider tips are really worth their weight in gold. All in all, a wonderful holiday with Nora & Detlef.

Actually, everything that we also liked very much has already been said by other guests of this holiday home. At the risk of not seeming very original, we would like to emphasise:
It is part of the hosts' good manners to establish a sympathetic and friendly contact with the guests even before they arrive. Every guest is personally welcomed and given a small free sightseeing tour of the important points of everyday life: shopping facilities, good tavernas, nice beaches, trees in the garden that may be "plundered" in moderation for theft of mouths, etc. This is very practical, very clean and aesthetically pleasing accommodation with all the trimmings. No frills, but a very well-maintained pool, an extremely practical outdoor shower, a shady olive tree on the terrace, a well-kept garden that is still in the process of gaining more character, a driveway resurfaced with natural stones - you can see the joy of design everywhere. Even the glorious sunsets are managed by the hosts almost every evening! We slept like babies every night and were not bothered by mosquitoes either. The owls provided better night music than the booming basses of discos not available here. Who doesn't get their money's worth in this olive garden: people who want to have raucous parties every night, people who don't like to walk, people who are spoilt for choice and people who love a close connection with nature only as long as it doesn't get too close to them. Detlef, think of the Caterpillar! Nora, you should sing again! ))

Cozy apartment in a beautiful location

We spent a week for four in Nora and Detlef's cozy holiday apartment and were thrilled! The property is located in a beautiful, slightly hidden location off the main road, yet you quickly reach the larger neighboring town. Ein wunderbarer Urlaub

We spent a long and incredibly beautiful vacation with our two young children at Detlef and Nora's. Detlef and Nora took great care of everything, Detlef showed us everything (shopping possibilities, beaches, car rental, taverns...), took us shopping when we didn't have a rental car yet, and so on. It was really great all around, and the children were playing around them as if they were their grandparents. In addition, the beautiful garden, the great beach within (really easy) walking distance, the pool and the terrace, all of this in the lush and blooming spring on Corfu - in short, it was simply a dream and certainly not the last time we stayed with Detlef and Nora!

Great facilities, friendly landlords, quiet location

The beautiful, spacious apartment was quickly moved into and the great pool visited. Very pleasant was the outdoor shower (with hot and cold water), which was private, as well as the beautiful, large outdoor terrace. Throughout the complex, you could admire the well-thought-out construction of all components and good quality. Even a barbecue area with a nice dining option was available at the pool, next to the pool shower. The apartment was really well-equipped and had enough space for clothes, shoes, books, shopping, swimwear, and more. In the kitchen, everything was well thought out, from the ceramic hob to the coffee machine and all utensils, made by IKEA. The bathroom had sufficient storage options. It was about a 10-minute walk from the house to the beach. There was also a good taverna just around the corner, as well as a small supermarket. All in all, the best accommodation we have experienced in Corfu!!! Simply worth experiencing!!! Warm greetings to Detlef and Nora at this point...

Another beautiful family vacation

Just like last year, we were able to enjoy a completely successful family vacation with Detlef and Nora. The facility with pool, garden, and sun terrace is lovingly maintained, the apartment is very well-equipped and clean, and Nora and Detlef are always warm and hospitable. The beaches in the area are ideal, especially for a family with young children, with numerous good taverns and supermarkets available in Ag. Spiridon, Pereithia, or Acharavi. And another note for all skeptics: there was no sense of Germanophobia, on the contrary, we always felt welcome among the Corfiots. We would have liked to stay longer! We can only agree with the previous positive reviews! When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and Detlef introduced us to the local area. Within walking distance, there is a nice and hospitable tavern, supermarket, beaches, and the peaceful nature reserve, where even an abandoned monastery is hidden. When we entered the apartment, we had an aha moment. We stayed in another Greek holiday apartment the week before - the difference was already very big. In the Nora house, there is no shortage: it is beautifully and brightly furnished, very clean, insect screens on all windows, and there is a cozy outdoor seating area in front of the house. The pool was the highlight for the children! We felt so comfortable that we definitely want to come back! Anne and family

Easter holidays

Great holiday home vacation in Corfu with the nice hosts Nora and Detlef. The two are very dedicated to making their guests as comfortable as possible and always helpful. The house, pool, and garden are spotless. Everything is just perfect. We will come back.

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus

The holiday home is located in the countryside, with two beautiful sandy beaches within walking distance. The apartment is very nicely decorated and very spacious. The furnishings - especially in the kitchen - leave nothing to be desired. In the immediate surroundings, there are nice taverns and a small supermarket. We spent a wonderful holiday week with Nora and Detlef and our 11-month-old daughter. Our little daughter enjoyed the vacation, as she had everything she needed (high chair, travel cot, and more). Nora and Detlef are very helpful and leave no questions or wishes unanswered. They were also involved in planning my partner's marriage proposal, so I received a wonderful proposal that I will always remember. Thank you again for the lovely vacation time!

Where guests become friends

Dear Nora, dear Detlef, 14 days of dream vacation in the midst of nature are behind us, and we would like to sincerely thank you for your hospitality. The vacation apartment is tastefully decorated and extremely clean and well-maintained. A bed rail for our 4-year-old daughter was provided without hesitation. Nora and Detlef are very friendly and want their guests to feel completely satisfied. Great tips for tours or tips on how to quickly get to the capital are provided by Detlef. Horses are nearby, everything is great. The 5-star recommendation is more than justified, and we will come back. We were very impressed by the festival on August 7, 2014, in the bay of Agios Spiridon. It was a dream. We look forward to a new holiday with Nora and Detlef.

Beautiful Holiday in Corfu

We spent two beautiful weeks in Agios Spiridon with our children. The holiday apartment is clean and well-equipped. It is located in a scenic and peaceful area. Many thanks to Detlef and Nora for their friendly welcome and the great excursion tips. One beach, a shopping option, and two taverns are within walking distance. For further exploration of the surroundings and larger shopping trips, a car is recommended. Thanks again to Detlef for taking care of the easy organization of the car. We enjoyed our stay with you, and we would love to come back.

Perfect holiday home, also suitable for two families.

We were two friendly families with 4 teenage children from Austria and had extensive, helpful email contact with Detlev in advance, who also organized the rental cars for us from the airport. The house is exactly as described in the advertisement, with 2 separate units, well maintained and clean, a nice terrace in a well-kept garden, a top-notch kitchen, located in a quiet residential area with an excellent tavern called Kabouris with a pool (which our youth enjoyed using during evening meals) and a supermarket Lola nearby.
Several beaches (sand, pebbles, and rocks) ranging from busy to quiet are also easily accessible on foot. Villa Nora is highly recommended, especially for us due to the 2 separate living units for close-knit families. We will gladly come back and can also imagine cycling or hiking in the spring or fall.
