Quiet vacation near the forest

We had a nice quiet week in the holiday apartment directly below the Schanzenberg.

The apartment has a separate entrance with its own living kitchen, as well as a private bathroom adjacent to the bedroom.

It is equipped with everything you need for a vacation, and if something is missing, just ask :-)

A parking space for the car is also available on the property for use.

The landlady and her family are very nice and helpful. According to availability, there are also fresh eggs and homemade game liver sausage from the hosts.

We had a great week and can only highly recommend the apartment.

Quiet, beautiful vacation apartment

We had a very relaxing holiday in a lovingly furnished, bright vacation apartment. We slept great on the new mattresses. There were also reading lamps by the bed. In addition to a console and a small cabinet in the bathroom, there was also a cosmetic mirror. The kitchen was very well equipped (egg cooker, lemon press...). Our nice hosts gave us great tips for our stay. In Brotterode, there is a well-stocked Edeka, and the butchers and bakers are also recommended.

Brotterode is an ideal starting point for hikes without having to use the car.

We also highly recommend the Inselsbergbad with sauna.

All in all, a very relaxing stay and a holiday apartment that we would gladly recommend.

Beautiful holiday

It is a very nice, cosy and clean holiday flat. Everything you need is there. The equipment is super.
The landlady is very friendly and is also happy to provide information about sights and hiking opportunities.
You can just relax there, whether in the flat or on the terrace.
A visit to the Pfefferstübchen restaurant is highly recommended. Not only is the taste right, but also the price and the service. The service is friendly and fast.

Not a dog-friendly landlord!

Unfortunately, we had to realize that the landlady does not have much consideration for animals. Our dog was only allowed to lie on the floor after explicit instructions from the landlady, even though we emphasized several times that all furniture was covered with blankets that we brought ourselves. Furthermore, there was no freezer as indicated, so our frozen items were thawed one day later! We had only booked with her, stating that a second bedroom was included in the booking, unfortunately, this was not the case, so one of us had to sleep on a sagging couch. Why do I pay 5 euros per day for a pet that can only lie on the floor? All of this prompted us to leave on the 21st of December! We left very early, leaving a note as everything was still dark. Unfortunately, no response until today.
