Description
Welcome to our Strandhus. A "hyggeliges" wooden house in Danish style awaits you. The cosy living/dining room is connected to the open, fully equipped kitchen. On cooler days, the wood-burning stove provides cosy warmth. All living rooms and bedrooms are equipped with electric radiators. There are three bedrooms with two beds each (double bed, two single beds, bunk bed). The six beds offer space for a maximum of five adults and one child. In the functionally equipped shower room there is a washing machine, a towel warmer and a fan heater. The outdoor area invites you to linger with a beautiful partially covered terrace with seating furniture, deck chairs and a barbecue fireplace.

Location and surroundings of object
The Flensburg Fjord, a Baltic Sea fjord about 40 kilometres long, is located in the far northeast of Schleswig-Holstein and is an attractive, family-friendly holiday region. The hilly coastal landscape, extensive beaches and the mild stimulating climate of the Baltic Sea are the best prerequisites for a relaxing holiday.
The Holnis peninsula is the northernmost peninsula on the German Baltic Sea coast and juts into the Flensburg Fjord. Holnis is home to a large nature reserve, which can be explored on foot or by bicycle along idyllic and well-signposted hiking trails. The view over the Baltic Sea to Denmark is always wonderful. Shallow beaches sloping into the Baltic Sea also make this region ideal for a holiday with children.
Our Strandhus is located in a quiet cul-de-sac, only 150 metres from the more than two-kilometre-long spa beach.
There is a beach chair rental in the immediate vicinity on the beach. A surfing and kitesurfing school, which also offers stand-up paddling courses, is about 400 m away. Along the beach promenade you will find a restaurant, café and kiosk.
Other leisure facilities in the vicinity are the Förde Golf Club (also for guest golfers) and the Fördeland Therme adventure pool
You should definitely plan a visit to the historic towns of Glücksburg and Flensburg and a trip on an excursion steamer on the Fjord.
The city of Schleswig with its Gottorf Castle State Museum and the nearby Viking Museum Haithabu (UNESCO World Heritage!) can be reached in about 30 minutes by car.

Vacation like in a 5* hotel
The house is very cozy and lovingly furnished. The kitchen lacks nothing at all. The furniture is tasteful, comfortable, and practical. Unlike in other vacation accommodations. The location is ideal (also for older people); close to the beach and yet quietly situated. The booking process was straightforward, professional, and lovingly supportive. Good informational material for excursions and sights in the area.
All in all - highly recommended!

A week dedicated to the family
As for the weather, we had everything from sun to rain with lots of wind. Thanks to the great accommodation, we always felt at home. The furnishings are good and the fireplace creates a beautiful and romantic atmosphere.
The terrace invited us to relax.
The surroundings are super relaxing.
The beaches are wonderful and not so crowded.
We had a few playground options in the area for our youngsters.
The driveway to the holiday home is not so easy to see, but that's not the fault of the house or the landlords ;)
A mosquito screen on the windows would be another great and useful thing to complete this holiday home.
Furthermore, it was great to have a nice barbecue with cast iron grill in the garden.

Wonderful holiday-we will be back
Great house in great surroundings. Everything exactly as described. Very clean, lovingly and very well equipped. Simply to feel good. We enjoyed the 3 weeks very much and did a lot. The weather was great and swimming in the Baltic Sea was wonderful. The surrounding area offers many possibilities for excursions. We will be very happy to come back.
