Ground floor
The entrance is at ground level, to a 30 square meter, separate hallway.
Lower bathroom: on the right hand side a 16 sqm bathroom with new 8 kW wood stove with large window, 1 shower, 1 bath, 1 washbasin, 1 toilet, washing machine and a 100 liter freezer.
Living room: 24 square meters, cozy furnishings with tiled stove (basic oven), a 6-bed couch and two chairs (2 x m). The TV receives all German programs.
Kitchen: 16 sqm, equipped for eight people. The kitchenette is new. Refrigerator, electric stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, sink with hot water, etc. are available. The large tiled stove is heated from the kitchen.
Lower bedroom: 24 square meters, 1 double bed (2 x 2 m, with very good mattresses), 1 closet, 1 table and two chairs is accessible from the hall at ground level. An 8 kW wood burning stove with large viewing window heats the room quickly. Also suitable for wheelchair users.
Upstairs
Large bedroom: 24 sqm, with two full double beds and wardrobe.
Middle bedroom: 16 sqm, with a complete box spring double bed 180 * 200 cm and wardrobe.
The upper bedrooms are warm with the warmth of the tiled stove. The beds have good grates and mattresses.
The duvet covers, the hand and bath towels, as well as the kitchen towels are included incl. In the rent.
In the hall next door:
Shower room with 1 shower, 1 washbasin and 1 toilet.
Bathroom with 1 bath, 1 washbasin and 1 toilet. Two electric hot water storage tanks of 150 liters generate the warm water.
All electrical cables are installed according to the regulations (FI protection etc.) as in Germany.

Location of the cottage
The former farm is situated on a sunny meadow slope above the village of Anould. As a retirement home and for food self-sufficiency, a nobleman had this house built around 1860. The view into the landscape is magical.
A large gravelled forecourt offers plenty of parking for three cars and invites you to relax or play. At the terrace table, a canopy protects you from the sun and rain.
Access is via a narrow, paved but easy to drive road that ends at the house. In about 200 meters away is a neighboring farm, which is managed by Germans and has a horse breeding. The forest starts 30 meters above the house, and you can start hiking in the area directly from the house.
On the day of arrival we meet at about 14 o'clock in the parking lot of the "Super U" in Anould. This supermarket is located on the N 415 and is well signposted. You can also come with Navi directly to the house. The cell phone reception is very good from all networks. Arrived at the house everything closer to the house in German explained to you.

Simply WOW!
We had the pleasure of staying in family Schilli's beautiful country house for the 2nd time :-) The house is wonderful, excellently equipped, lacking nothing, and the location is indescribable! In the middle of nature you can relax and unwind. Our two dogs, Dina and Kody, felt very comfortable and welcome, just like us. The warm welcome from the Schilli family made us feel like we were returning home
The centre of Anould is just a few moments away and Gérardmer, Colmar, Saint-Dié, Lac des Corbaux in La Bresse, Xonrupt-Longemer are all at your feet :-) Great and extensive hiking trails for the dogs included. An absolute insider tip is the oldest (built in 1903) and the first heated (30 degrees water temperature) swimming pool in France in Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines.
We were able to relax for 2 wonderful weeks and just enjoy the peace and quiet. We are very much looking forward to seeing you again :-) Thank you very much, dear family Schilli, for these unforgettable 14 days!

Pure relaxation
We spent a wonderful week in the country house at 36 degrees in the shade. The location is great! Only a horse farm about 200 m away is in the neighbourhood. There are enough deck chairs for outside and a covered barbecue area is also available. There is also plenty of seating inside. The village of Anould with its shops is about 5 minutes away by car

A great holiday!!!
The holiday home has a fantastic location, it is excellently equipped and above all it is very pretty, well maintained and very clean. Mr Schilli's welcome was very warm and we felt welcome immediately. The great location allowed the dogs plenty of space to play and romp around. We felt very comfortable here and will definitely come back :-) It was an unforgettable 2 weeks! Thank you very much :-)
