The apartment is great - very tastefully and intelligently furnished. What the previous tenants have written about this and also about the surroundings, we can fully confirm.
The highlight in our case, however, was the landlord himself with his prompt availability, immediate help with questions on site, etc.
A bag that was accidentally left behind after our departure was promptly sent after us. In doing so, he managed to have the incorrect postal code we provided corrected by DHL one day AFTER the package was sent!!!
"Hats off"!!!

From Horumersiel, you can explore the area well and take excursions to coastal towns such as Carolinensiel, Neuharlingersiel or Wilhelmshaven, which are easily accessible. Perfect for a timeout!

Although I only stayed very briefly in the Mendick family's apartment, I found everything I could have wished for during my short visit (to see my wife and children at the Friesenhörn Clinic around the corner) in addition to a tastefully and lovingly furnished and very clean apartment. If I had had more time, I would certainly have been able to "endure" it here for (much) longer. Everything I wanted to see was easily accessible by (rental) bicycle from Nordseerad (in Horumersiel) or on foot, so the car could remain parked the whole time. I enjoyed my visit very much, but unfortunately time went by too quickly. The Mendick family was always friendly, accommodating, and uncomplicated in our contacts. The "arrangement" of my trip by email, arrangements, and key collection/delivery were fantastically organized and completely problem-free. I would be happy to come back anytime!

Horumersiel June 2022

Beautiful well-maintained apartment in a quiet location. There are various ways to get to the village - you can choose whether it's a long walk or a short trip to get bread rolls. The landlord responds very quickly to emails, and we were able to get into the apartment a bit earlier than originally planned. Due to the location, you can also quickly reach Schillig on foot (about 30 minutes). The beach chair belonging to the apartment is very practical and easily accessible from the apartment. Generally, there is no sandy beach in Horumersiel, but there are playgrounds with sand for children, and the public sanitary facilities are very clean and well-maintained - so we are happy to pay the corresponding tourist tax.

Lovingly and well-furnished apartment in a good location

The holiday apartment is very lovingly furnished and offers everything needed for a relaxing holiday. Dishwasher, washing machine, and a Nespresso machine make everyday vacation life :) easy. The apartment is very clean and offers optimal opportunities to unwind with the protected south-facing rooftop terrace. The location is perfect: Both the village center with numerous shopping and dining options is within walking distance in just a few minutes, and the beach including the beautiful dunes can be reached quickly. The beach chair is only a few minutes away from the apartment. And for those who prefer to spend a day on the sandy beach in Schillig, you can also reach the sandy beach within a 15-minute walk. All in all, an optimal apartment for a relaxing holiday! But what stands out the most are the hosts: the contact is super nice, and the family is genuinely hospitable!

Relaxing Time

Very nice, well-equipped apartment with private parking in front of the house and a beach chair at the green beach. There are even toys available for children.

The surroundings are great. About a 10-minute walk to the city center, the green beach, and the nearest Edeka store. The sandy beach in Schillig is also easily accessible on foot. Walking on the dike and/or flying a kite on the beach in Schillig, everything is possible.

It was a very nice and relaxing time.

Communication with the landlords was very good. (Only those who do not like children might not appreciate the surroundings of the apartment, as there is a mother-child clinic next door.)

This time at the North Sea was one of the most beautiful vacations we had, and this apartment played a big part in it. We felt very comfortable in this apartment right from the start. It is very nice, tastefully furnished, and of high quality. There is a lot of storage space in the bedroom, the kitchen is well-equipped, and the terrace is large with a beautiful view of nature. The location of the apartment is great, with short distances to the beach and the town center of Horumersiel. It is only a 20-minute walk to the sandy beach in Schillig. All in all, a very nice holiday apartment that we will definitely use again.

We had a lovely short break in our home port, the apartment is really great, we felt very comfortable, great furnishings, everything you need is there, the weather was also nice, we could use the balcony with beautiful furniture every day and the view is simply beautiful, it's only a few minutes to the village of Horumersiel through the spa park and also not far to the beach. The apartment is perfectly located. You can reach both the beach and the city on foot.
In case of bad weather, the apartment provides a great refuge. It offers enough space for four people to relax, play, and feel comfortable. The apartment is newly renovated and we lacked nothing.

we had a very nice time in Horumersiel. The apartment is modern and decorated with a lot of attention to detail. The apartment lacks nothing. The kitchen is fully equipped and everything is available in the other rooms as well. On the balcony, we could enjoy the sun and the view of the greenery.

Short holiday

Perfect short holiday with a need to repeat!
We stayed in the Heimathafen holiday accommodation in beautiful Horumersiel for 2 nights in July and can only recommend it. The stylish furnishings with attention to detail are literally infectious and convey a real North Sea feeling. There is no lack of equipment, so that you can cater for yourself if you wish. The shops and restaurants in the village are within walking distance and the sea is only a stone's throw away. Perfect for families with children and very relaxing. We can only recommend it!

Very nice accommodation in a top location

We were at the North Sea for a few days and were lucky enough to stay in the "Heimathafen" holiday flat
The flat is very tastefully and comfortably furnished and leaves nothing to be desired
The short distances to the beach as well as to the village allow for a lot of relaxation
Both we and our two small children felt very comfortable and would book this accommodation again at any time
Absolutely recommendable!
