Exceptional location at the entrance of the Quiberon peninsula in the coastal and historic village of Sainte-Barbe, bright and comfortable terraced house recently renovated, situated in nature, large enclosed and sheltered garden (approx. 250m²), small dunes and sea view from the upper floor. Living environment, away from the traffic flows of the Quiberon peninsula.
2 km from Plouharnel town center, a haven of peace away from traffic in summer, while you remain in the heart of tourist activity.
Ideal for water sports, beach and/or nature lovers, for two or with family, up to 5 people with 2 small children and a baby.
In the first row to the dunes and the beach, 900 m from the sea, in the heart of the Great Dune protected area (Natura 2000). At the end of a cul-de-sac with direct access to the coastal bike path from the house (20m) which runs along the coast from Etel to Quiberon. Bicycle rental in Plouharnel. The bicycle rental delivers the bikes on site and picks them up again.
South-facing wooden terrace and garden furniture, solar outdoor shower for returning from the beach, parking and shelter for bicycles, barbecue and beach equipment. South-facing terrace lounge, sofa and seating area (WiFi, flat-screen TVs), large sociable table, open kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, glass-ceramic cooktop, microwave, fridge-freezer, oven). Upper floor: 1 master bedroom to the west (160cm) + baby bed, 1 south bedroom (2 single beds 90cm and 1 children's sofa bed 80cm), bathroom with tub/shower and WC. The south room is modular and can accommodate 1 adult or 2/3 children: two single beds can be joined together, or just one can be made up to provide a more spacious room.
A comfortable mattress for a baby cot is in the master bedroom and a safety gate for the stairs.

Are you dreaming of wide open spaces, unspoiled nature, and a big breath of salty ocean air? Here you will find total harmony with the earth, water, and air! Very close to the seaside resort of Carnac, which owes its international fame to the megaliths listed as UNESCO World Heritage, as well as to those of La Trinité-sur-Mer and Quiberon, and just a few kilometers from the islands of Hoëdic, Houat, Belle-Île-en-Mer, Groix, not to mention the Gulf of Morbihan.
On the ocean side (on foot through the dunes or 3 minutes by car), the long white sand beach of Sainte Barbe delights young and old in every season. Enthusiasts practice surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, and sand yachting at low tide. Kerminihy naturist beach 6 km away.
On the Quiberon bay side, Sables Blancs beach, protected beaches of Carnac, the marina of La Trinité-sur-Mer, the entrance to the Gulf of Morbihan.
All shops and a medical center in the village of Plouharnel 2 km away.

The mandatory cleaning fee of €50 appears included in the rate when making the reservation request but must be given directly to the cleaning team on the day of departure.

Lovely little house
We had a great week as a couple in the holiday home.
Nothing was missing and it was clean.
The landlady gave us a very friendly introduction.
She lives in the neighboring house and would have been available at any time.
The location is ideal for cycling trips in the area.
A small drawback is indeed the shower for taller people, which has been mentioned before. We didn't find it too bad.
We can recommend the holiday home without hesitation and would come back again.

Very well recovered!
From the beginning, we were welcomed by the landlady and supported with many tips and suggestions. The holiday home (very quiet location) with a beautiful garden (sun lounger and hammock) is located in a cul-de-sac directly on the nature reserve. From there, you can take many beautiful trips to the surrounding area (beach, menhirs). The landlady's idea to rent bicycles from her acquaintance, who runs a bicycle rental shop in Plouharnel opposite a supermarket, was great because we saw many details that you can't see by car. The bicycles were brought to and picked up directly from the house. :-)
In the garden, there is a robin that likes to show up on the terrace to eat. :-)
The path through the dunes leads to an incredibly spacious and impressive beach, which looks different depending on the time of day and tides. A delight for hobby photographers and nature lovers.
The holiday home is very well equipped and leaves nothing to be desired.
After 2 weeks of wonderful weather, we drove home well rested. Gladly again. :-)

Great starting point for a beach and cycling holiday.
The guest annex was adequately equipped for 2 adults but not lavish. The location is excellent: the very beautiful, spacious beach is easily accessible on foot or by bike (swimming, surfing, kite surfing). You can also go on very nice bike tours in the larger area by bike from the house: sometimes the routes are well signposted, sometimes unfortunately you have to ride shorter distances on the road. The French drivers, however, are very considerate and do not insist on quick overtaking or right of way.
We were a little disappointed with the vacation home: plastic garden furniture and a plastic tablecloth outside (wooden furniture is shown in the pictures), the upper floor very cramped and everything very noisy, steep staircase up, kitchen utensils were available but of the cheapest quality and partially very worn out. The CD player didn't work, was immediately repaired by the landlord, still didn't work. Only 1 tiny bathroom in the sloping ceiling and showering for people taller than 1.65 difficult. Oh dear, I didn't want to complain so much because the vacation was still very nice and we felt comfortable in the accommodation. The landlady was very friendly and helpful.

Vielen Dank für Ihre Offenheit. Auf Ihren Rat hin werden wir neue Fotos veröffentlicht und freuen uns, dass Sie Ihren Aufenthalt genossen haben und sich im Haus wohlgefühlt haben. Genau wie Sie bevorzugen wir Gartenmöbel aus Holz, aber während der Covid-Pandemie haben wir sie, um das Gesundheitsprotokoll einzuhalten, durch PVC-Möbel ersetzt, die leichter mit Bleichmittel zu reinigen sind. Um diese Unannehmlichkeit auszugleichen, haben wir zwei passende "Sonnenliegen" hinzugefügt, die nicht auf den Fotos zu sehen waren und die sehr beliebt waren. Außerdem sind diese Möbel in diesem heißen Sommer leichter, sodass sie leichter in den Schatten der Bäume gebracht werden können, und wir haben Sie vor Ihrer Ankunft über diese Änderung informiert. (Es steht Ihnen frei, die Tischdecke aus Wachstuch zu verwenden oder nicht. Wir hatten es von den vorherigen Mietern gelegt und nicht entfernt, weil wir dachten, dass Sie darin einen Vorteil sehen würden.)
Seit Juni 2022 haben wir auch eine neue Kühl-Gefrierkombination, einen neuen Geschirrspüler und einen neuen Fernseher angeschafft und wir bedauern, dass Sie dies bei Ihrer Bewertung der Ausstattung nicht berücksichtigt haben und werden demnächst die alten Küchenutensilien, die Ihnen nicht gefallen haben, ersetzen.

Relaxing summer holiday in a quiet location
Very friendly welcome by the landlady with cider, Produits Regioneaux and plenty of information about the area. The house is in a very quiet location on the edge of the village and offers enough space for 3 to 4 people, especially in good weather when you can use the spacious terrace and the large garden with deck chairs, patio furniture and barbecue. A very beautiful beach with good possibilities for surfing, kite surfing and swimming (also with small children) can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes through the dunes (there is of course also a road to the beach and parking facilities there). Fresh croissants and baguettes for breakfast are available about 7 to 8 minutes away on foot at a camping site. We had 2 great weeks there. We only give 4/5 stars for the facilities, as showering is only possible for small people standing up ;)
