In the middle of rural idyll in Balje stands our North Sea castle. From the balcony you have a wide view of the Elbe landscape.
The holiday home is extensively equipped and offers you plenty of space on 240 m². It has 2 kitchens, 7 bedrooms, 2 living rooms with parquet flooring, a bouncy castle, 1 large dining room, 3 bathrooms, and 1 barbecue area. The house is popular with large groups or with 2-3 families. You can all gather upstairs or enjoy a bit more privacy and spread out into the rooms. The kitchens allow for large or quick meals after a long day of excursions. On the ground floor, you have an open-plan kitchen connected to the living/dining area with ample space for dining for 17 people.

Location and surroundings of object
The house is located directly on a dyke and from the balcony you have an unobstructed view of the Elbe in approx. 3 km distance as well as the nature reserve and Vogelresevart Kehdingen.
In the surroundings of Balje there are many possibilities for recreation. There are extensive cycling and walking paths right on the doorstep. For horse lovers, there is a riding stable near the North Sea castle.
The nearest North Sea beach in Otterndorf is 20 km away, the North Sea town of Cuxhaven with its beautiful beach promenades 35 km
There are North Sea dog beaches especially for dogs in Otterndorf (20 km from Balje) and in Cuxhaven. There, the mudflats also invite you to go on mudflat walks to the island of Neuwerk, and long, well-developed promenades make long walks or bicycle tours possible.
The whole family can also spend a day on the sandy beach or in the leisure pool with its wave pool, thermal baths, slide and sauna facilities. Or how about a boat trip to the seal banks or to Helgoland?
About 20 minutes away by car, the town of Wingst offers another main attraction with its zoo, play park with summer toboggan run and a modern outdoor swimming pool. Fun and games are guaranteed here for the whole family. For friends of nature, the Natureum Niederelbe in Balje offers a coastal zoo and a coastal museum.
There are also some attractive destinations to the east of Balje, such as the harbour town of Stade, the Alte Land with its traditional apple and cherry blossom festivals, and the Elbe beach at Krautsand.

Large house directly behind the dyke
Beautiful large house with charm. Two kitchens, big common room, bathrooms newly renovated. There's not much around, so a car is recommended. Very uncomplicated booking, arrival, and departure.

Clean, friendly, recommendable
Landlord and housekeeper were very friendly. The accommodation is fully equipped and was very clean. The house offers enough space and is in a quiet location. There were no complications with arrival or departure. Perfect holiday home for a family holiday or for a group if necessary.

lots of space for many guests
We have experienced some great vacation days at Nordseeschloss. The proximity to the dyke, the nature reserve is very attractive for hikes, bike and inline tours. We have taken a mudflat hiking trip to Neuwerk Island and the beaches in Duhme and Döse are easily accessible by car. The processing with Mr. Birnbaum and the housekeeper was correct and uncomplicated. We will gladly come back.. :-)
