The Argen valley got its name from the river Argen. The Argen - this is the only, largely unspoilt Alpine tributary of Lake Constance in Baden Württemberg. An idyllic, over long stretches inconspicuous, but also violent white water river. It flows from the foothills of the Allgäu through a picture-book landscape, first divided into the upper and lower Argen, then united to form Lake Constance. The village of Steinenbach is situated on this river only about 8 km from Lake Constance. Nearby there is a wonderful bathing pond and a bathing lake, furthermore a beautiful game park with free entrance. Nature lovers and hikers on land and water know and appreciate this river and the beauty of the landscape through which it flows. Pictures of this landscape can be seen on the homepage. Situated in the middle of the "Oberschwäbischen" and close to the 3 - countries - corner Germany - Austria - Switzerland you are in Tettnang away from the big tourist stream at the direct lake shore and - if you like - in only 8 kilometres distance in the middle of it. Behind Tettnang begins the green hilly country of the Württemberg Allgäu. This is also where Steinenbach is located in the beautiful Argental valley.

Very nice stay
Very friendly landlords, a nice little holiday apartment with everything you need. The possibility to have breakfast outside in the morning was very nice, and to let the day end in the guest garden in the evening on the garden loungers. We will definitely come back.

: Vacation for rest and relaxation.
The holiday flat was equipped with everything necessary. If you had any questions or problems, you could contact the landlords at any time. The flat is located in a quiet area and on the associated terrace or in the holiday garden you could relax very well. It is only 9 km to Lindau on Lake Constance. The location at the tri-border region enables many sightseeing trips. The landlords are very open-minded and friendly. We felt very comfortable there and can only recommend the holiday flat.
