The Argen valley got its name from the river Argen. The Argen - this is the only, largely unspoilt Alpine tributary of Lake Constance in Baden Württemberg. An idyllic, over long stretches inconspicuous, but also violent white water river. It flows from the foothills of the Allgäu through a picture-book landscape, first divided into the upper and lower Argen, then united to form Lake Constance. The village of Steinenbach is situated on this river only about 8 km from Lake Constance. Nearby there is a wonderful bathing pond and a bathing lake, furthermore a beautiful game park with free entrance. Nature lovers and hikers on land and water know and appreciate this river and the beauty of the landscape through which it flows. Pictures of this landscape can be seen on the homepage. Situated in the middle of the "Oberschwäbischen" and close to the 3 - countries - corner Germany - Austria - Switzerland you are in Tettnang away from the big tourist stream at the direct lake shore and - if you like - in only 8 kilometres distance in the middle of it. Behind Tettnang begins the green hilly country of the Württemberg Allgäu. This is also where Steinenbach is located in the beautiful Argental valley.

Beautiful week
The apartment is simple but has everything that is needed. Everything was very clean and cozy, and we spent a nice and relaxing week here. You can go for beautiful hikes directly or take bike trips to Lake Constance and its hinterland. The location is a perfect base for excursions. Also to the Allgäu, Austria, and Switzerland. Or just go swimming at Lake Constance, which is 8 kilometers away. The landlords are very friendly and helpful. Would love to come back!

Very relaxing stay in a beautiful environment
I really enjoyed my stay in this holiday apartment. Particularly noteworthy are the quiet and idyllic location, as well as the pleasant temperatures in the apartment. Even with high outdoor temperatures, it remained pleasantly cool inside, which made the stay very comfortable.
The apartment was overall clean and well-equipped, so I felt comfortable at all times.
Two small points caught my attention. For taller individuals, the bed is a bit cramped. Due to my height (1.92m), I had to lie somewhat diagonally. On the other hand, a slightly older room smell was permanently noticeable, but it only slightly affected the overall very positive impression.
Overall, I had a nice time and can gladly recommend this vacation apartment, especially because of the very warm hosts and the beautiful, quiet surroundings.

Bezüglich dem Eigengeruch, werden wir der Sache nachgehen, die letzten 12 Jahre, hatten wir diesbezüglich keine Klagen.
Bei dem Bett,handelt es sich um ein handelsübliches 2 m x 1.80 m Bett.

Very nice stay
Very friendly landlords, a nice little holiday apartment with everything you need. The possibility to have breakfast outside in the morning was very nice, and to let the day end in the guest garden in the evening on the garden loungers. We will definitely come back.

: Vacation for rest and relaxation.
The holiday flat was equipped with everything necessary. If you had any questions or problems, you could contact the landlords at any time. The flat is located in a quiet area and on the associated terrace or in the holiday garden you could relax very well. It is only 9 km to Lindau on Lake Constance. The location at the tri-border region enables many sightseeing trips. The landlords are very open-minded and friendly. We felt very comfortable there and can only recommend the holiday flat.
