We (2 children, 2 adults) spent a great week in October at the Gundelwein family's house. The house is incredibly cozy. Nothing is missing. And if something is missing, a call is enough and help is provided. The house is beautifully secluded in the middle of the Thuringian nature. It is so quiet that at night you can hear the footsteps of small animals on the roof :) Wonderful. We will definitely come back! Best regards, Mario F.

The comfortable holiday home near Steinsburg offers days of relaxation and rest away from hustle and stress. The house itself is perfectly furnished and leaves nothing to be desired. Upstairs there are three bedrooms with space for a total of seven people. On the ground floor there are two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a fireplace room and a game room. The good taste of the owners is reflected in the many little loving details. A morning and an evening terrace offer stay and enjoyment depending on the time of day and position of the sun. The large garden offers various possibilities from hammocks to table tennis. If you prefer deer, foxes and squirrels in the wild to TV and media consumption, this is the right place for you ???

Lovingly furnished, close-to-nature family-friendly accommodation.

We have been to this beautiful house twice now! We are in love with the stunning huge garden, the perfectly equipped kitchen, and the quiet, nature-close location! In the playroom, there are several binoculars with which the kids have observed herons and birds of prey! The landlord and contact person on site are warm, accommodating, and uncomplicated! And the only neighbor let the kids feed the fish in his pond. Book and go... Adventure, nature, and enjoying a break!

Perfectly equipped holiday home in a quiet location at the edge of the forest.

We (3 adults, 2 teenagers) spent 1 week in this beautiful holiday home in October. We regularly vacation in holiday homes, but rarely have we found a house so perfectly equipped. You can tell that the house is also used by the owners themselves - from the pizza cutter to the shoehorn, everything you need is really there.

The beautiful surroundings invite you to go hiking in the Gleichenbergen and the surrounding area. We also made extensive use of the ping pong table. However, since you can only play in the garden, we had to wait for rain breaks. Small request: perhaps in the future, a solution could be found in the outbuildings so that table tennis can be played indoors in bad weather.

The house does not have TV reception, but instead has a comprehensive selection of really nice board games, books, and DVDs. Thanks to the spacious property and the sufficiently large holiday home, five people can comfortably stay there without getting on each other's nerves.
Since we also cooked ourselves, we particularly remember the well-equipped kitchen (plenty of dishes, a super fast dishwasher, spices, etc.).
Many thanks also to the landlord, Mr. Gundelwein. The communication was absolutely smooth and uncomplicated.

The sunrise at the breakfast spot, the cozy sunset view by the fireplace, hikes can start right at the house, everything is well-organized and prepared - we felt wonderfully accommodated in our needs!!!

Idylle Pur

Beautiful individual holiday home where nothing is missing. We were looking for peace for our short vacation and found it. If you love nature, this is the perfect place for you. The house and garden are perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The view of the village of Haina is fantastic. The surroundings are ideal for hiking and cycling. Shopping facilities are easily accessible by bike. We can recommend the holiday home 100%. Many thanks to the landlord. The communication was absolutely straightforward and very friendly.

Pure recreational holiday in a great holiday home

We had a wonderful time in the holiday home, located in the middle of nature, quiet but lovingly equipped with everything you need. We were particularly enchanted by the spacious garden with barbecue facilities, the proximity to the Gleichberge with many hiking trails, and the magnificent panorama. Even on cold, rainy days and evenings, you can fully enjoy the warmth of the fireplace. The house itself is very cozy, exudes a rustic warmth, and the charm of seclusion without having to forgo comfort (e.g. underfloor heating in the modern equipped bathrooms). The ways for everyday errands are short, everything you need can be found in the nearby Römhild, about 15 minutes away by car. What also remains very positively in our memory is the hospitality of the landlords, very friendly, uncomplicated, and warm. The caretaker's care at this point should also be mentioned.
We would like to thank you very much for the wonderful time and will gladly come back. . . .

Simply top!

The house is located very quietly, about 1.5km from the nearest village. The only neighbors are birds, deer, and occasionally a fox. Surrounding the house is a large garden where our children (5 and 6 years old) could play and romp to their hearts' content.

The house itself has been lovingly renovated and is very well-equipped. There are several seating areas both inside the house and in the garden, as well as on the two terraces. The children were especially happy about the separate playroom (also very well equipped!)

In the surrounding area (3km), there are several shopping options, such as Lidl and Rewe. There are also plenty of tourist destinations. About 1.5 km away, for example, there is the quaint but very beautiful outdoor pool/forest pool of Römhild. You can even walk there. It is also recommended to take a walk on the small (Steinsburg!) or large Gleichberg, or visit all the museums in the area, such as the Bertholdsburg castle in Schleusingen or the open-air museum in Fladungen.

The care provided by the landlord and caretaker is very friendly and accommodating. They are always helpful with any questions.

We will gladly come back!

We were there with four people and three small kids. They loved the large garden. One bathroom is beautifully renovated. The other is more suitable as a second bathroom. The house is very rustic but very nice. Some corners could have been cleaner.

Beautiful holiday home in a wonderful location with good facilities, large plot and space for 2 families

We (4 adults, 4 small children) spent a long weekend over Ascension Day in this wonderful holiday home. It is in a quiet location at the foot of the Gleichberge mountains, directly on the edge of the forest, so that you can relax undisturbed on the large property and enjoy the view of the countryside. It is accessible via a service road (approx. 2 kilometres from the next village). We were surprised by the size and versatility of the property. There was a large playground and sunbathing area (football goal, balls, table tennis table, barbecue, campfire area etc. available), lots of seating, two sunny terraces with a large dining table, but also shady trees and colourful flowers and plants.
There was a well-equipped kitchen in the house (crockery, pots and pans and much more available). However, a water filter had to be used to purify the drinking water (available in the kitchen). There was a bathroom with shower, another really nice bathroom with tub(great tiles with sea motives), a cosy light-flooded living room(couch, table, cupboards, fireplace, TV available), a small adjoining or play room with table and chairs as well as shelves full of books, board games and children's games as well as 3 bedrooms upstairs(2 smaller and 1 larger with separate toilet and great window front). The handover took place after individual arrangement punctually and uncomplicatedly. The property is rented out by friendly and committed local residents. The price-performance ratio was very good.
We would recommend the property to others. It is particularly suitable for those seeking peace and quiet, nature lovers, hikers and families.

Wonderfully peaceful, close to nature, and simply idyllic

A great overnight accommodation for families who simply want to relax in nature far away from the main tourist attractions. We had a wonderfully cozy winter weekend and felt very comfortable. It was especially cozy because of the great fireplace, which was prepared for us to light. The location is beautifully quiet and perfect for hikes and walks. Idyllisches Ferienhaus

Really a very nice holiday home in a quiet and relaxing village! There were 6 of us in the house and we got along well. Nothing is missing, the house is super furnished and very cozy. We particularly fondly remember the evenings by the fireplace. Our children could really let off steam in the garden and rediscovered the table tennis table for themselves.
