Description
The farmhouse, built in 1839, was carefully and exclusively renovated in 2015/2016. A very cosy and very special mountain chalet for up to seven guests was created on 180 m2 of living and usable space with a spacious living/dining area and a large kitchen/fireplace in the former stable, three bedrooms, two bathrooms (3 WC) and a free-standing bathtub
Sunburnt wood, original beams, wooden floorboards, a house well in the historic vaulted cellar, historic slates create a very special atmosphere. Old wood and selected, partly historical, furnishings form the basis for the complete interior. In our mountain lodge, all rooms have an unobstructed view - either into the Bohemian region in the Czech Republic or into the Ore Mountains. From the quiet terrace in your own garden paradise on m², the view sweeps over meadows into the surrounding mountains.
Since January 2017, our holiday home has been classified as a 5-star holiday home by the German Tourism Association.

Location and surroundings of object
The winter sports stronghold of Klingenthal is considered a hiker's paradise with a seal of quality. The village is an ideal and central starting point for hiking or cycling tours in the immediate surroundings with the diverse attractions of the Vogtland region to the Ore Mountains and Bohemia. Unique are our three certified hiking trails Höhensteig, Kammweg (part of the European long-distance hiking trail E3) and Vogtland Panorama Weg. The first two lead directly along the house. The Höhensteig, has again managed to meet the demanding criteria as a "Quality Trail Wanderable Germany". Of course, all available hiking maps and travel guides are available to our guests in the house.
Ideal winter sports conditions are offered by the snow-sure Klingenthal skiing area with over 100 kilometres of groomed cross-country ski trails: the Sonnenloipe, which is only 5 km long and passes directly by the house, is perfect for all beginners.

A holiday home with approx. 180 m2 of living space is available for your sole use. Ideal for your holiday with the whole family or with friends. Equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday in the Vogtland. Of course, bed linen, towels, firewood, spices, etc. are at your disposal.
The spacious living and dining room, which was formerly used as a stable, is the special highlight of the house with a large kitchen stove/fireplace and with a specially designed old wood kitchen bench and historical furnishings. The kitchen is fully equipped with coffee machine, espresso maker, dishwasher, gas cooker, oven, refrigerator, freezer unit, kettle, etc.
All three bedrooms have unparalleled views and are located on the upper floor; two of them have an en-suite bathroom (shower, WC, washbasin). Also on the upper floor is a free-standing bathtub.
Historic wooden floorboards or slates with underfloor heating, old wood exposed roof trusses in the complete roof area and original ceiling beams in the basement provide the special cosy atmosphere. Flat-screen TV in two bedrooms, free Wi-Fi throughout the house, radio/IPod and safe are part of the modern technical equipment.
A washing machine and tumble dryer are available for our guests in the separate technical and drying room.
Alpine skiers and snowboarders get their money's worth on our downhill slopes in Mühlleiten and Jägerstraße, or Bublava (CZ). In the Vogtland Arena, one of the most modern large ski jumps in Europe, you can experience ski jumpers from numerous nations up close.
For children, there are adventure trails, bathing lakes and special children's activities in the immediate vicinity.
Bathing gardens in Eibenstock, brine thermal baths & sauna world in Bad Elster or Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic can be reached in less than 1 hour. From Dresden and Prague you can reach the chalet in about 1.5 hours.
