Strackholt is an old Geest village in the mill community of Großefehn.
The holiday home is centrally located for many beautiful activities in East Frisia, as the village of Strackholt is in the middle of East Frisia.
The village is surrounded by a beautiful landscape of ramparts and can be easily explored by bicycle on the endless flat roads and paths
The village church was built in the 13th century. There are many stories to be told about Strackholt, whether about "Quade Foolke" or
the "Biggenboom", a cursed tree or about the large erratic block that lies on our village square

Pure relaxation
We were in the vacation apartment for the second time, and it felt like coming home. The apartment is furnished with a lot of love.
Mrs. Schoon and her family are wonderful hosts. We will definitely come back.
The location is great for cycling…
The peat and settlement museum in Wiesmoor is reachable in half an hour. Aurich or Leer is also not far…

Very quietly located holiday apartment with everything you need.
As announced last year, we spent our vacation again in Strackhold, but this time not with Mrs. K. Schoon junior (daughter) but next door with Mrs. I. Schoon senior, and we were also fully satisfied here. A personal, friendly, and warm welcome by the daughter, Mrs. K. Schoon. The holiday apartment is also equipped with everything needed to have a nice vacation (just as stated in the description). From there, many excursions are possible, even by bicycle. . . . a very good starting point, for example, to Leer, Aurich, Emssperrwerk, Emden, Ihlow, Moormerland, Wiesmoor, Bad Zwischenahn, Papenburg, the Meyer Werft (by appointment), etc. . . . so much more than one can actually explore in a week. . . . Also a nice cozy personal tea afternoon, with homemade cheesecake and plum cake, with the landlady, which we definitely didn’t want to miss, it was very nice and pleasant.
One can only recommend renting here.

Summer vacation
Very nicely located holiday apartment in a quiet area... Price-performance ratio is also good...Irene Schoon knows what her holiday guests want...a very nicely designed garden also suitable for families with children...I can only recommend it...
