Family holiday

We (6 adults) had a wonderful
a wonderful holiday in the house of the Henkel family. The equipment in the house leaves nothing to be desired.... Everything is lovingly furnished. Each room has its own bathroom! The front of the house offers a wonderful view of the church at any time of day. A large seating and barbecue area at the back of the house leave plenty of space to relax and enjoy. The landlords Fam. Henke, are very caring, we were well advised and felt very comfortable. This was our first time in Saxon Switzerland and we would love to come again.

Family Vacation

It was a wonderful vacation with our adult children. The front of the house offers a wonderful view of the church at any time of day. A large seating and barbecue area at the back of the house provides ample space to relax and enjoy. The equipment in the house is plentiful and geared towards practical everyday use. One could spend more than just two weeks of vacation here. The landlords, the Henkel family, are very caring. From bread delivery service to firewood, everything was possible. For hiking enthusiasts, there are maps and additional excursion tips. It was a "perfect" holiday.

Long weekend with great friends (M+S, M+B, I+F, A+H)

Every year we meet with friends at the holiday home with the Henke family and spend wonderful hours there. There is nothing to add to the previous reviews. It is a great holiday home, fully equipped, with a lot of attention to detail. The outdoor area is also top-notch, cozy, simply brilliant. Just 3 days here are enough to recharge your batteries. And the landlords are very friendly, always helpful, and do everything with lots of love. And the small petting zoo with the three goats makes not only children's hearts beat faster. We can only recommend this holiday home, especially as you can enjoy pure nature from here and undertake many excursions/hikes, even without a car.

Traumhafter Urlaub

We (a family of five) stayed in Saupsdorf for a week and we really enjoyed it. The holiday house is very spacious, well-equipped, very clean, and cozy. The hosts are very welcoming and greeted us with freshly baked bread, also providing us with eggs from their own farm and excursion tips for the area. A highlight were the three mini goats Alma, Irma, and Frieda, whom our girls immediately took a liking to. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Simply fabulous. 5 stars are not enough.

We spent 10 wonderful days in this house. Everything is really there. A fully equipped kitchen where nothing is missing and where you can cook, sit, watch TV, read, and play together. Each person can do as they please. There are plenty of games available as well as enough reading material. For those who really want to watch TV, there is no dispute either. There is a TV in the kitchen and in each double room. We were mostly too exhausted from the beautiful hikes in this area and just enjoyed the very cozy place outside. Everything was really perfect and super clean, and of course, having three bathrooms for three people was absolute luxury. In the mornings, bread rolls were delivered, and the owner had baked a great loaf of bread for our arrival. The chickens were also busy, and we had delicious scrambled eggs. I could go on raving. We will definitely come back. Thanks again for the lovely hospitality.

Simply PERFECT

We were able to spend five great days in this beautiful holiday home and it was simply wonderful! The house is top equipped with everything your heart desires and super clean. The landlords are very nice, helpful, and one immediately had the feeling of knowing each other forever. The Saxon Switzerland is also really great. If you have something like this on your doorstep, you don't have to fly around the world. We will definitely come back and can highly recommend the holiday home!

Super great apartment with everything you need.

We were two people in the house with a quiet location not far from the national park (within walking distance). The house offers everything you need and is really well-equipped. There are no wishes left unfulfilled. The rooms are clean, spacious, and lovingly furnished. Highly recommended. There were also beautiful stories about the area and great recommendations from the very kind landlords.

Perfektes Ferienhaus

We spent a wonderful holiday week in the vacation home of the Henke family and felt extremely comfortable. The multitude of positive reviews here can hardly be supplemented with further details without repeating. We also enjoyed a delicious welcome bread and felt well taken care of. The house offers a thoughtful equipment and is lovingly furnished. Bringing reading material is not necessary, as there is an extremely cozy reading chair with plenty of books. Great games can also be found, you can safely leave these at home too. Everything has really been thought of, and the fact that each room has a bathroom is pure luxury! Wonderful family vacation

We enjoyed a wonderful time with the Henke family in Saupsdorf. We were very pleased with the warm welcome, homemade bread, and welcome bottle of wine. The holiday home is spacious, bright, and friendly, equipped with everything you need. The sun terrace is great, where we could start our day with a nice atmosphere for our excursions. The landlords are very warm and attentive - making the holiday enjoyable. Thank you very much for the various excursion and shopping tips, the homemade jam, the sourdough starter (which is also well received by our neighbors), and much more. From Saupsdorf, all destinations in Saxon Switzerland are easy to reach, and many excellent hiking destinations can be reached right from the doorstep. Many, dear thanks and warm regards.

It was beautiful.

We spent a wonderful week here and felt completely comfortable. We were warmly welcomed (the two are really cute) and were able to settle in. Nothing was missing, everything from A to Z was there. Shopping for your own kitchen is great in Sebnitz. On the first evening, we enjoyed the homemade bread and the bottle of red wine that we found on the kitchen table as a welcome gesture. Every day we had great activities, from cycling to hiking, a boat trip on the upper lock, and city tours in Dresden and Bautzen. A highlight for us was the hike to the Bastei (from the town of Wehlen) and through the Schwedenlöcher to the town of Rathen. It was exhausting but absolutely fantastic, everyone who is there and good on foot should do it. Thanks to our kind host Hartmut, our first bike tour was a complete success. We cycled through the Saxon Forest and got completely lost after crossing into the Czech Republic. Hartmut advised us to download the Mapycz app, which turned out to be really worth it, and we safely made it back to Saupsdorf. I could keep writing lines about it. Just try it out for yourselves, and you'll see. Vacation at the farmhouse in Saupsdorf is great.

Liebevoll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus

We spent a wonderful holiday in this cozy and lovingly decorated holiday home. The house is equipped with everything you need. The beds were very comfortable, everything was very clean, and even mosquito nets on the windows were provided. The only thing to mention, subjectively by us, is the size of the wardrobe in the lower room. It was impossible to accommodate clothing for 2 adults. However, this did not affect the feeling of well-being. All in all, we can recommend this house without reservation. Even though we couldn't personally meet the Henke family due to their well-deserved vacation, we always stayed in touch and felt well taken care of. A heartfelt thank you to you, Henke family.

Cozy holiday home in a beautiful location

We spent a week at the holiday home to go hiking in the Saxon Switzerland. From Saupsdorf, you can easily reach many tourist attractions, the week was too short to visit all the beautiful places. The holiday home is well equipped, cozy, and clean, located in a quiet, nature-friendly environment. The hosts were very friendly, always available, and gave us great hiking tips. In the morning, we were out in the impressive nature, hiking, climbing, etc., and in the evening, we could enjoy the peace on the cozy terrace by the campfire. The holiday home contributed to a perfect holiday, we definitely recommend it. Thank you very much!

Highly recommended

We had a great time in the beautifully restored, lovingly furnished holiday home. We didn't miss anything. Having breakfast outside with fresh bread delivered to the house, barbecuing, using the fire pit and making bread on a stick. And Saupsdorf was the perfect starting point for hikes.

Easter vacation

We spent our Easter holiday for the first time in the Saxon Switzerland. It was fantastic. The house is decorated with a lot of love and we didn't miss anything. The landlords are very friendly and accommodating. We will gladly come back :-).

100 stars and even more

We rented this holiday home as a family of 6 for 4 days. Although our arrival was later in the evening, we were greeted very warmly
We were first shown around the house and were able to move into our rooms. We had 3 bedrooms with wonderful beds, in which we all without exception slept very well, and a bathroom in each. The rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable and individually equipped
There was a hairdryer, washing machine, towels, shower towels and so on, everything without leaving anything to be desired
A fully equipped kitchen-living room, where everyone has a seat at a large table, invites you to play games, chat, watch TV on a giant screen and of course cook and eat together. Afterwards, the dishes are quickly put back in the cupboard with the existing dishwasher. So it's a holiday in every sense
But there is also a cosy place to sit outside with a barbecue and fireplace
If you want, you can take advantage of the bread delivery service in the morning. Then you get freshly baked rolls early.
We were especially surprised by the hosts with a very fresh, home-baked bread and a bottle of wine. And the bread was soooooo suuuper delicious
Saupsdorf is quite centrally located and serves as a good starting point for extensive walks and hikes. You can exert yourself or take easier tours
Something for everyone
All in all, a holiday in this holiday home is highly recommended and we will definitely be happy to come back.

Nature pure and the soul can dangle

We were looking for a starting point for our hiking and climbing tours in the Saxon Switzerland and were fortunate to find the holiday house at the farm in Saupsdorf. Top equipment, great kitchen, fantastic bathrooms, excellent beds, combined with landlords who live hospitality, allowed us 3 weeks of pure relaxation. The house leaves nothing to be desired and has been furnished with great attention to detail. In addition to the successful opportunities to spend the evening in front of the house, in the cozy seating area, at the fireplace and the grill, this accommodation is a highlight and can be highly recommended.

Really recommended

We stayed in this holiday home for a week with 2 families and 3 children and explored Saxon Switzerland from there. The house was ideally located to enjoy nature and the great cities in equal measure. The landlords were very eager and unobtrusive to read our every wish from our lips, which they absolutely succeeded in doing. The house, which was furnished with a lot of heart and love, was very cosy, spotlessly clean and better equipped than many a private household (from the sandwich toaster to the chocolate fondue). The welcome with homemade bread was unique, we give it 1000 stars and will gladly come again.

Superbly equipped holiday home

We spent 1 family weekend with our adult children in the FH.(8 people in total) In 3 bedrooms (each with its own shower room) and a further (smaller) bed in the somewhat separate anteroom, we had space for all adults. (For 2 children there would be another bed in a bedroom)
All rooms are tastefully, comfortably and cleanly furnished. The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, pots etc. and all conceivable electrical appliances. Hiking maps and games available. Outside there is a large table with rustic chairs/bench, 2 sun loungers, parasol, fire pit and barbecue. Everything perfect! Plus very friendly hosts who welcomed us with homemade bread and red wine. We can recommend this house with a clear conscience! 5 stars!

Super cosy holiday home

We were full of expectation and what awaited us exceeded everything. A cosy holiday home furnished with love and lacking nothing. We slept very well, sat by the fire in the evening in a lovely sitting area behind the house. During the day we made some nice excursions and were already looking forward to the cosy evening in the house.

Just have a relaxed holiday...

We spent an extended weekend holiday as a family (6 adults and 1 child) in the beautifully renovated holiday home of the Henke family. The booking was quick and uncomplicated. We received information about the surroundings and excursion destinations in advance, which can be found on the private website of the landlords. The landlords live just a stone's throw away and within easy reach. We were warmly welcomed with a large, very tasty homemade bread and a bottle of wine. The organisation of the bread roll service also worked great. The bread rolls were varied and delicious
What we really liked about this holiday home was that all three bedrooms have a separate bathroom. So it was already relaxed in the morning. When the weather is nice, you can sit comfortably outside in the spacious seating area, barbecue or enjoy time around the campfire. But we could also sit together at the large table in the spacious kitchen. There are lots of different games available for entertainment. The kitchen is very well equipped with dishes and all kinds of kitchen utensils. Each room is lovingly and tastefully decorated. We found the beds very comfortable. Everything was super clean and nothing was missing. The flat is ideal for families or families with friends.
Saupsdorf is a quiet place. However, you can quickly get to Sebnitz and various excursion destinations in the immediate vicinity.
We immediately felt at home and were on holiday.
We will gladly come back!

Hervorragend

We spent 3 wonderful days (unfortunately too short) with friends in a lovingly designed holiday home. The hospitable reception with delicious bread and wine and the enchanting landlords immediately created a holiday atmosphere for us. The house is very well-equipped, we felt at home. Modern meets rustic coziness - Hospitality and holiday home leave nothing to be desired!

We were the lucky "first inhabitants" of this beautifully renovated holiday home. Our travel group consisted of seven people. The layout of the house (three bedrooms, each with a separate bathroom, and a cozy kitchen-living room as a communal area) was perfect for our group, consisting of friends and couples. Definitely recommendable for multiple families too! The rustic coziness and attention to detail with which the cottage was furnished impressed us a lot. We would give far more than five stars for that.

Even in terms of amenities, everything was well thought out:

* a hairdryer in each bathroom
* washing machine
* kitchen equipment for all eventualities (ice crusher, egg cooker...) ) more extensive than the equipment at home =)
* a huge collection of games in the living kitchen for social evenings
* a cozy, individually designed seating area on the terrace with a fire bowl, which we could also use in winter
* free firewood for the fire bowl, which was refilled without being asked
* fresh homemade bread as a welcome gift and a bread delivery service from the neighboring village baker was organized for us

All in all, one can only sing praises to the friendly and thoughtful hosts, who supported us with advice and action. In addition to the varied information material, there were also genuine insider tips for hikes off the well-known tourist hiking trails and advice on the best local guesthouses. Our highlight on New Year's Eve was clearly the Wachbergbaude with a great view over the rooftops of Saupsdorf and the Saxon Switzerland.

The Kirnitzsch Valley is a beautiful piece of nature and Saupsdorf is a very well-located starting point for hikes in the entire Saxon and Bohemian Switzerland. Thank you for a great vacation, we will definitely come back with anticipation and joy!
