Location and surroundings of object
Otterndorf is located south of the Elbe estuary and offers many opportunities for a relaxing and varied holiday with its extensive green beach, the mudflats, its beautiful lake landscape, the historic old town and an interesting hinterland. As a World Natural Heritage Site, the Wadden Sea off Cuxhaven offers a unique experience. You can also visit the wellness area of our brine bath or the indoor and outdoor swimming pools in neighbouring Wingst. Helgoland and Neuwerk invite you to unforgettable day visits, Cuxhaven, Hamburg, Bremen and Stade are quickly reached by car. There is also a lot to discover on bicycle tours in the immediate surroundings of Otterndorf.
For children, there is a huge playground directly behind the dyke. At the large bathing lake there is a large recreational area with numerous attractions and a barbecue area and a small water ski facility.
Sports enthusiasts are also catered for: football and volleyball, basketball, paddling, surfing, mini-golf, skating and cycling are all on offer. The neighbouring village of Neuhaus offers a large, modern water-skiing facility.
For cooler days, there is also the play barn, which is well worth a visit. For culture fans, there is the Crane House Museum, the Old Latin School, the Johann Heinrich Voss House, the St. Severi Church, the Gate House, etc. in our historic old town. Numerous restaurants and the nearby Cuxhaven harbour offer the best freshly caught fish and crabs straight from the cutter.

Holiday directly by the sea
We had a wonderful rest, the area is fun for long walks, the house is a place to relax after walks around the lake, by the sea or through the orchard.

Beautiful holiday home
The beautiful holiday home is very quietly located behind the dune. You can walk to the sea in a few minutes. The house is well equipped. The house is on three floors, which could be a challenge with small children because of the open stairs.
We think the bathroom should be renovated urgently. When you sit on the toilet, the water heater is almost on your shoulder, the shower tray with curtain is (too) small, it sometimes took ages until warm/hot water was available, quite a hassle in winter!
We especially liked the living room on the first floor and the bedroom under the roof.

Wir freuen uns, dass es Ihnen so gut bei uns gefallen hat. Wir möchten dass alle Gäste auch in Zukunft einen schönen Urlaub bei uns verbringen können und wir freuen uns deshalb über jede konstruktive Rückmeldung.
Die Warmwasser Einstellung hätten wir leicht ändern können, wenn wir davon gewusst hätten. Die Anbringung der Therme ist leider nur an dieser Stelle möglich, weil diese an der Außenwand liegen muss. Im Zuge der kommenden Bad-Renovierung werden wir dafür aber ein baulich kleineres Modell auswählen.
Wir würden uns sehr freuen, wenn Sie bald einmal wiederkommen würden.
