Description
The house has a large covered porch to the south. The format: a bedroom with double bed, a bathroom, a kitchen and a mezzanine with two beds. The house has two stairs, so it is not suitable for people with walking difficulties. The house is located on a large plot (an old vineyard) of over half a hectare. There are 2 km (bike path) to the town of St. Vivien.
There are two small supermarkets, a butcher, a bakery, cafes, art, restaurants, pharmacy, post office, market, a bank and other shops.
The sea (10 km) and the Gironde (4 km) are in cycling distance. A quiet and a wide beach is 13 km north. Near Soulac-Sur-Mer. The small tidal harbor of St. Vivien is a few kilometers away. A big new harbor can be found in the Verdon. 12 miles away.
The stream flows along the terrain. It has an open connection to the sea through the Gironde. (Ebb and flow are visible). Because of the ditch, it is therefore not suitable for very young children.
There is also a second house on the property (for 6 persons).
The environment is characterized by deciduous forests, vineyards and wild meadows. On these pastures you can see many horses. South of St. Vivien you will find the vineyards. Château Noaillac (15 minutes by bike) buys very good wine.
There are many hiking and biking trails in the immediate vicinity.
The linen package cost 10 Euro per person per week for a stay of 1 week.

We spent with three people a relaxing week in the house. The first week of our vacation we lived in the neighboring, larger house of the same landlord (there is also a rating from us). The house is very comfortably furnished. Everything was as described and very well maintained. You could really feel good. There was a very nice bedroom, a bathroom on the same level, on the gallery upstairs another two beds and a staircase down the living room with kitchenette and dining table. A front of the living room was completely made of glass, you could open it completely located to the front of the house. The entrance to the house is on a beautifully furnished terrace with table and four chairs, a cozy couch with coffee table and a chair. In front of the living room there was also a table with two benches and a parasol. Down in front of the terrace then two wooden chairs and next to the house two sun loungers. More is not possible! To the chairs also appropriate pads were available. Everything had been thought about, in both houses. Coffee was available, vinegar and oil, salt, pepper, laundry baskets and stands, brackets, etc. There were even in meaningful places small lights with motion detectors, so that one had orientation in the dark. Both houses are on a nice plot and it is very quiet there. Perfect if you really want to relax. Last but not least, the landlords were really nice and helpful, that's not always self-evident. We can really recommend this and both houses.

Een heel fijn huisje waar everything is wat raises ever nodig. Het is bijzonder rustig located en de veranda is really wel een troef. Daar can ever rustle lekker, uit de wind. Neem he zeker ook de fietsen bij want ever fietst zo naar de bakker of naar a restaurantje in de buurt. Je kan je auto ook meteen nast het huisje kwijt. Ontvangst was dik in orde met een lekker flesje rode wijn. Kortom, as ever a plekje zoekt met a rustig ritme, dan heb je het gevonden

The location of the house and the house are so that we, 2 adults and 2 children, have felt very comfortable from the first minute. The landlords are very friendly and helpful. The house contributed to a completely successful holiday.

Tranquil cottage in fantastic area

Having just returned from staying at this cottage for the second summer in a row, having visited my sister there the year before that. The cottage is perfect for our family of four (children currently 4 and 6 years old). The cottage is maintained, clean and as described in the details. My kids love the mezzanine bedroom, the bathroom is hot and powerful. The porch is a real highlight and most of our time, including my husband having to work weekdays while on holiday (the recently installed wifi made this possible). The owners have a washing machine on site should you need one. A brick bbq is on the side of the property and is most used to evenings. There is a ditch on site but could be easily avoided. The location of the property is ideal with St Vivien being an easy cycle on flat country roads (our 4 year old did it everyday) for breakfast coissants, the Wednesday produce market and summertime Sunday evening food market. We did plenty of evening cycles too, around the fields and to St Vivien port (great creperie). The Dutch adult cycles are very comfortable and did not have the hassle of having to carry our own adult bikes from Cumbria. Some days we cycled further afield, with some great cycling lanes in the vicinity, including through the coastal pine forest and along the estuary. I've visited the St Vivien area many times over the past 20 years, returning to it again and again (including 5th year in a row as a family) due to its large beaches, big waves, forests, cycle tracks, Soulac attractions and so on on. Having discovered this property I would not stay anywhere else. To top it all off the owners are very friendly and helpful. We want to be back ....

Une semaine passée au calme dans cette belle petite maison qui est trés bien équipée jusqu'aux petits détails (raquettes, balloon et même liquid vaisselle et papier de toilette .... etc). De plus elle est très bien située, la mer est à 10km et tous les commerces de proximités à moins d1km. Et pour finir Marianne et Évert, les propriétaires, sont très chaleureux et serviable. Je recommande vivement cette

Met ons drezin 3 we open door in oasis van rust. Huis is werkelijk van all gemakken voorzien en het ontbreekt aan niets. Schitterende strand, fietstochtjes, oesters eten en golfsurf with children. Bijna is on another beach. Nederlandse eigenar zijn zéér gastvrij en doen hun uiterste best om het de gasten naar de zin te maken. Prijs / kwaliteit is a 10 met een griffel. A true aanrader om de Médoc te ontdekken.
