The couple Trierweiler welcomed us very warmly. A beautiful garden surrounds the cozy house with outdoor terrace and pool. Perfect holiday destination for smaller or even larger day trips to Lardiers and the surrounding area. We thoroughly enjoyed the absolute peace of the place, along with our three dogs, which were also welcome.

The perfect oasis of well-being

We (a couple around 70 with a Cairn Terrier) were thrilled and satisfied all around. The house was perfectly equipped with everything a man/woman/dog needs. It is not a zero-eight-fifteen place, which is certainly part of the charm of the house. Again and again we discovered lovingly arranged little things. With the books available in the house, we would have lasted at least a few more months. The kitchen, although small, had every utensil we needed, from sharp knives to neat pans and crockery. The house, linen , upholstery and mattresses were super clean and well maintained. The holiday home is surrounded by lavender and sage fields. It is also not far to the forest
The way to the baguette is a bit further and can only be done by car. But it is a wonderful route. We often went to the "Bar de la Lavende" in Lardiers for dinner. Very tasty!
We would definitely recommend the holiday home of the Trierweiler family. Whenever needed, Mrs. and Mr. Trierweiler were quick to help and advise. We would like to thank them very much and will gladly book again at the next opportunity.

Chill, relax, unwind :-)

We enjoyed our holiday at La Coloree so much that we started our journey home with melancholy in our hearts. The house and its surroundings have a very special flair. And the landlords are absolutely lovely people who make you feel welcome. I think our three greyhounds had fun too

House, garden, and pool for relaxing.

After a journey of almost 1100 km, we were warmly welcomed by the couple Trierweiler and familiarized with the property.
Throughout our stay, the couple provided helpful advice and assistance.
The accommodation is very suitable for recovering from the stress of everyday life.
With appropriate hiking or trekking shoes, the surrounding area can be explored on foot. Tours with bicycles are not recommended for cyclists who are not so confident in riding in this hilly terrain.

We thank you for a peaceful and relaxing stay in this wonderful accommodation. We felt at home and could very well understand why the landlords emigrated here. If I ever write a book, it will be here. You are completely on your own and can come to yourself while enjoying the beautiful nature. The house is very tastefully furnished, well-equipped, and clean. The terrace is a dream with a view of the mountains. Even a gas grill is available. The landlords are very friendly and helpful. We will be happy to come again.

If you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the right place for you!

We stayed in this beautiful house in June 2021 and can highly recommend it. My husband, our two dogs, and I were absolutely thrilled. The excellent facilities, great location, and peace and quiet were perfect. This house is fantastic for a holiday with dogs or for a small family! The hosts are very nice! We were able to go on great hikes and walks straight from the house, or just relax by the pool. Overall, a completely relaxing and restful vacation. We will definitely come back.

Vacation for the Soul

We had a fantastic week at Thierweilers' house. Everything was perfect: the house with its cozy atmosphere, the large garden for sitting, lying down, and enjoying, the pool just for us, and the warm and kind manner of the landlord couple. Lardiers is a small dreamy village, and the cool wine bar in the village center is easily reachable on foot. We felt comfortable all around and will definitely come back.

Escape to Paradise amidst Corona

Where do I start, where do I end... We were, it seemed, among the first Germans to travel to Provence after the border opening. After just a few days, it was clear to me: "I don't want to leave here" - or come back soon. The location, the house, simply perfect for feeling good all around, we lacked nothing. Mrs. and Mr. Trierweiler welcomed us very kindly and were available if needed during the 2 weeks. The beautiful nature, the lavender fields, and the tranquility made us forget about Corona.
The excursions to Banon/Forcalquier recommended by Mr. Trierweiler, of course, we did and were thrilled.
Unfortunately, my dog Diwa could not meet Gustav and Emil as she was in heat, but we will definitely make up for it in June 2021!!!
As the saying goes, anticipation is the greatest joy, and we are very much looking forward to this reunion. I would like to thank you very, very much for everything and send greetings from Mannheim.

So beautiful!

One doesn't know where to begin with raving enthusiasm, about the house, the garden, the landlords, the area, or just in general. In short, you arrive and feel at ease spontaneously. We, that is our two Cairn Terriers, my wife and I, have found exactly what we have imagined here. A house that offers the familiar comfort of home. Completely different from what one knows from the otherwise so carelessly furnished holiday homes. You can see from the many lovingly arranged details that the landlords here do everything to prevent homesickness, but rather to entice one to come back. It worked for us.

Relaxation among the lavender.

We felt really on vacation with 3 people and a dog in this house. It has all the comfort you need. The owners are also very nice and ready to help if needed. In one of the reviews it says that the kitchen is on the small side. But at 750 m there is a second kitchen: MOJO, bar de la lavande. You can enjoy delicious food there at a reasonable price. The wines are also delicious. A friendly hostess who gives your dog fresh water. In short, we really enjoyed it. Thank you!

Lonely paradise

The house was more beautiful than we expected. The amenities are great. It is not only lovingly designed but also practical and very comfortable. The covered terrace is really great. Since it was a bit chilly in the evenings, we enjoyed the beautiful wood stove. The TV armchair and comfortable couch were great. We were able to take many excursions from here. The absolute peace and solitude here impressed us a lot. The starry sky late at night was very impressive. The bath with the colorful tiles was also very special. The Trierweiler family was very nice. We felt more than comfortable.

Very nice house

We felt very comfortable in the cosy, lovingly furnished colourful house and the great, well fenced garden. Our three beagles in particular loved the garden, because they could run around to their hearts' content. The covered terrace with the view of the pool, the garden and the countryside was wonderful. The house has everything you need.
We really appreciated the incredibly nice landlords Mr. and Mrs. Trierweiler, with whom we had nice conversations.
We would be very happy to recommend the house to others.

Pure relaxation

We spent a wonderful holiday here with our dogs.
After the warm welcome from the landlords we immediately felt at home in the lovingly furnished, very clean and very well equipped house. Breakfast on the beautiful covered terrace with a view of the beautiful garden (which is fenced off to prevent escape), swimming in the great pool, just chilling out and reading books, there are lots of books available, lavender fields right outside the door, wonderful walks, the markets in the surrounding villages, donkeys, sheep and chickens opposite in Lardiers, the beautiful reservoir nearby, pizza from the pizza van on Friday evening, Colorado Provence,

Fantastically beautiful holiday

Pure relaxation....traumhaft beautiful location, no stress here you can still let your soul dangle. It's a really sweet house with a beautiful large garden and a wonderful pool. Everything you need is there...and if you need anything, you can contact Mrs. or Mr. Trierweiler at any time, and they will help you immediately with words and deeds. Not only did we feel very comfortable, but our dog Bully was also very enthusiastic. We can only say thank you and....we will definitely come back again.

Dear Trierweiler Family,
Thanks to your house, placed in a fantastically beautiful garden, we were able to relax and let our souls unwind splendidly in wonderfully beautiful weather. It was simply great; we, as well as our two dogs, enjoyed every vacation day in the lovingly designed garden. Of course, the pool is the icing on the cake, as we could cool off repeatedly and then indulge in reading or sweet idleness feeling refreshed. Terrific! If you are looking for peace and want to truly unwind, you are definitely in the right place! The landscape and the surroundings invite you to take short trips and leisurely countryside excursions. The small villages and towns are beautiful and easily accessible thanks to the low traffic. It's worth taking short hikes with the dogs in the nearby forest, as the breathtaking view of the beautiful landscape and the scent of lavender even reach your nose here. However, the sage fields are also inclined to compete with the colorful lavender fields, at least as eye-catchers. You see, I am getting carried away...
You, dear Mr. and Mrs. Trierweiler, have also contributed to our feeling very comfortable and highly valuing our time in Lardiers through your warm and helpful nature and care. Who knows, perhaps even the neighbor will one day realize in which paradise he lives and allows his two proteges who deserve it just as much. Feel-good oasis in Haute-Provence.

We (3 adults & 4 dogs) felt extremely comfortable in this wonderful holiday home in mid-April. The exceptionally friendly and warm welcome from Mr. Trierweiler gave us a taste of all-around well-being. The house is lovingly furnished with a lot of attention to detail. The garden makes every nature lover's heart beat faster. Although we couldn't use the pool in April (which, by the way, is secured with a gate!), We were not able to "take a dip" yet, but we were very pleased that Mr. Trierweiler had already filled it just a day before our arrival. This allowed us to enjoy the pleasant splashing sound at breakfast. The covered terrace is an absolute dream at any time of the day! It is wonderfully equipped with 2 loungers, a huge rectangular dining table, a large bench, and chairs. The only downside is the kitchen, which is clearly too small for 3 adults, and there is only one toilet located in the bathroom. However, the bathroom is phenomenal! In the cozy living area, there is a sofa bed on which the 3rd or 4th person can sleep. Since I used the sofa bed alone and I am not particularly tall, I could lie on it without needing to extend it. A fireplace provides a cozy atmosphere for cooler evenings. And there is plenty of dry, well-split wood right on the terrace. Mr. Trierweiler is extremely helpful and always up for a conversation, which we very much enjoyed and appreciated. We learned a lot about the country and its people that way! Our dogs loved the fenced garden! Ideally, the house is suitable for a couple. A few tips for the nearby area:

Holiday stay at La Colorée

The reception by the homeowner Franziska Trierweiler was very friendly and helpful. We spent wonderful and relaxing holidays with our dogs at the lovely La Colorée. The fenced garden was a paradise for our four-legged friends. We felt very comfortable in the house and on the large terrace above the pool. Relaxation and recuperation were great. The surrounding area with its small, beautiful Provençal villages is also very charming. Those who ride a bike must, of course, climb the nearby mountains Mont Ventoux and Montagne de Lure. The Gorges de la Nesque offers nature at its finest, then a visit to the picturesque town of Sault is definitely worth it, where you can enjoy the best nougat.
We are already looking forward to our next vacation at La Colorée.

The most beautiful holiday home we ever stayed in!

It was very, very nice with you, thank you very much :-) Never before have we lived in such a beautifully equipped holiday home, yes, really lived. If you are looking for seclusion and want to relax for a while, you are in good hands here. We would have loved to stay longer than 2 weeks. The continuous enclosure was perfect for our dog, so you could let him romp around outside completely relaxed, without worrying that he would run away. In wind and weather, we lit the fireplace and made ourselves really cozy inside, simply heavenly. We were able to enjoy the beautiful weather in the large garden, and even bicycles were ready for a spin.

We were warmly welcomed by the particularly nice landlords and they took excellent care of everything.

We and our four-legged companion had a special joy with the landlords' dog, with whom she could play freely. The markets in the surrounding villages are highly recommended and Lardiers is also an excellent starting point for beautiful walks or day trips.

Ein Haus in der Provence

Gray days, veils of fog – so let's get out of here! To the Haute-Provence? In the fall? – Definitely! A brilliant way to extend the summer a bit: Last year, we had temperatures that were shirt-sleeve weather during the day, we enjoyed lunch and siesta in the garden, markets in the villages and towns are still bustling, the sun bathes the mountains in a rusty brown and the lavender fields in a mild greenish-stony light. Even in November, one can still expect sunlit days with pleasant temperatures. In this season, calmness and serenity return to the everyday life of the people of Provence. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in the holiday home of Thomas and Franziska Trierweiler. They have built a house in the small village of Lardiers (possibility to stay), idyllically situated on a lonely plateau between Apt, Forcalquier, and Banon (Mecca of the best French goat cheeses). The house is striking in several ways: It has a tasteful, personal, and cozy interior. The design is in harmony with the Provencal surroundings. For example, the walls are painted in bright colors with pigments mined locally. Nearby, there are several regions characterized by brightly colored red-ocher-brown rocks from which the substance for the typical Mediterranean bright colors is obtained. Noteworthy is also the comfortable bathroom, in the design of which the homeowners demonstrate creativity and good taste. In the evening, it is cozy in front of the wood stove, during the day we enjoyed the huge covered terrace, which can be used for cooking, eating outdoors, and relaxing. The view sweeps over the garden far into the Provencal landscape with its lavender fields. A hospitable place to find peace. It also offers opportunities to hike or ride a horse through red-glowing rocks.
