Description
We demolished our beautiful half-timbered house in the neighbouring village in 1995 and rebuilt it in Wootz, in the former orchard of the family farm, with great attention to detail. It is bright and friendly, comfortably furnished with a style mix of old and new furniture and decorations. Our guests report that they feel warmly welcomed and immediately at home.
On the ground floor, the country house offers a cosy fireplace corner in the living room, a fully equipped kitchen with dining area for 4 people, the hallway with a large dining table, a utility room with washing machine and a guest toilet.
Upstairs there is a master bedroom and another bedroom with 3 beds and TV, the bathroom with shower and a cosy reading corner in the bat dormer.
Our house is fully equipped. You will find a TV with satellite connection on the upper floor as well as in the living room. There is also a DVD player, a radio with CD and even a record player. Internet access (VDSL) is freely available.
The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, electric cooker with 4 plates and oven, fridge-freezer, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, baking utensils and microwave.
In the large fenced outdoor area (approx. 2400 sqm) your children and/or dogs can play and romp around. You will find a children's playhouse in Swedish style as well as several terraces and seating areas, such as a sheltered reading corner, and sun loungers. Outside the garden, three car parking spaces and a bicycle shed are available to you free of charge.

Landhaus Wootz is located in the Lenzerwische of the Brandenburg Elbtalaue, directly on the "Green Belt" of the former inner-German border. A variety of rare animals and plants have their habitat here.
Enjoy the unique area between the Elbe, Elde and Löcknitz rivers. Visit the largest shifting sand dune in Europe, canoe across the Löcknitz or cycle along the Elbe dyke to Europe's largest renaturation programme, the dyke relocation near Lenzen, and enjoy the newly created floodplain landscape.
Visit the castle in Lenzen and the fortress in Dömitz. The Panorama Cafe at Dömitz harbour offers a fantastic view of the Elbe and the town of Dömitz.
In autumn, winter and spring, birdwatchers get their money's worth in the Rambower Moor. Many migratory birds rest and spend the winter there, which are otherwise rarely seen in our latitudes.
Enjoy one of the few remaining intact ecosystems in Germany and let yourself be inspired by the tranquillity and nature.
Plan your excursions to interesting places in the surrounding area. For example, to the castle museum in Lenzen, to the viewing platform on the Höhbeck, the stork village of Rühstädt or the village republic of Rüterberg. If the weather doesn't cooperate, the indoor high ropes climbing park at the Ölmühle in Wittenberge is a good option.

| Booking prices and conditions (01.01.-31.12.2022) - All prices include 2 adults and our country house - Each additional adult will be charged with 15,-€ per day - Children up to 12 years are free, 13 to 18 years 10,-€ per day (cot and high chair available) - Discounts are possible for longer bookings and repeated stays - Car parking spaces and a lockable bicycle shed are included in the booking price - Additional costs and flat rate per stay 60,-€ - Bed linen on request 12,-€ per person - Towels on request 8,-€ per person - Pets cost 8,-€ per pet & night - Arrival from 14:00 o'clock to 16:00 o'clock, departure to 10:00 o'clock, please absolutely keep! - Rental deposit is 50,-€ per stay (to be paid at booking, refunded in cash at departure or transfer after departure without handover, after tel. advance notice) - When booking, 50% of the net rental price is to be paid as a deposit, but at least 150,-€. History
The country house is located in Wootz, in the Lenzerwische, the district of Prignitz, in the north-westernmost part of Brandenburg. Wootz is a small village on the Elbe River and was part of the GDR border area at the time. The GDR fence and border stretched right past Wootz on the Elbe dyke. Wootz was a restricted area until the border was opened in 1989 and could only be reached by locals with a pass. The border troops of the GDR monitored this area. At the end of the village in the direction of Dömitz, the former "company" of the local border guards still stands.
An old watchtower of the GDR border troops still stands at the Elbe ferry in Lenzen. Today it is used as a viewing platform and is open to the public free of charge.
