What once began as a heart project is now a lovingly "Cascina Borchina" an exclusive estate in a picturesque location with a breathtaking view of Lake Maggiore, opening April 2017.
The ambience is exclusive and natural, yet very welcoming to the needs of the few guests matched.
It is an indescribable, almost magical property with magnificent stone walls and gardens that promise absolute tranquility and transform the stay in a wonderful holiday. An insider tip for nature lovers in an idyllic setting.

All apartments enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Maggiore.
You are a guest in the "La Finca", a feudal stone house with private garden, lawn, pergola and outdoor shower. This small oasis also has 2 private terraces directly on the house, here or in the private garden you can enjoy an unforgettable sunset and the wide view over Lake Maggiore. The interior of the finca also leaves nothing to be desired. The finca has on the ground floor a large living-dining room, overlooking Lake Maggiore and the park, stone floor, antiques and seating for 4 people. Large solid wooden dining table with 6 comfortable wooden chairs. The high quality kitchen is equipped with refrigerator, freezer, 5 gas cooker, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, sufficient dishes, glasses and cutlery as well as kitchen utensils. Room for clothing and small office table with internet access, if desired. The bathroom is entirely marble, stone shower and marble basin.
On the upper floor there is the second bathroom with stone shower and stone washbasin, a bedroom with double bed and wardrobes and another large bedroom with wardrobes and a large sun terrace with a dream view on Lake Maggiore. The terrace offers seating and a marble whole house is very comfortably furnished and decorated with attention to detail.
In the whole apartment is the floor of stone, some natural stones on the walls which provide a certain nostalgia and make this apartment a cozy and romantic gem. They have sun from early to late.

More than ten years ago, we looked at the lake and dreamed with open eyes and year by year, stone by stone, has become reality from Finca Cascina Borchina. Restored and rebuilt, according to old pre-existing farmhouses, today it is a small finca with Family business, opening April 2017.
Finca Cascina Borchina is located on a hillside and offers a breathtaking view of Lake Maggiore and in words it is really hard to describe. For this reason, we have made numerous photos (all from our estate and not from viewpoints) so you have an idea of our view and the countryside, but it is always just a part of what we offer. We assure you that it is much more beautiful in "nature"!

What distinguishes the structure is undoubtedly the attention to detail and the choice of materials. In the years we have always tried to create an elegant and refined environment, but at the same time rustic, to connect with the surrounding nature. The exterior walls of the house are completely made of stone, gneiss, brick and granite, while the floors (both external and internal) are exclusively in marble, lava, travertino, slate and stone. We have tried, as far as possible, to use sustainable materials, such as ecological cement for building and recycling furniture in the apartments, but also the walls and exterior walls of the old pre-existing farmhouse, respecting the ancient tradition. We have tried not to avoid ecological materials and prefer to use wood and stone to create herbeds around the house to facilitate integration with the surrounding vegetation. Although we are in the middle of a forest, Cascina Borchina is surrounded by ancient rocks and stone walls, which was used in the history for the cultivation of fruit plants and wine. Today we have lemon trees, herb cacti, wild cherry, oak and hazelnut, chestnut and whitethorn.

Cascina Borchina is literally surrounded by nature and surrounded by forest paths, although we can be reached by car quickly. For those who want to spend a relaxing holiday, to rest around a close contact with the nature, Cascina Borchina is ideal. For this reason, we welcome sportsmen and yoga lovers, moutain bikers, hikers, couples seeking romance, but also families and friends who want to go on holiday together.
Cascina Borchina, everyone is welcome, but not recommended for small children, as there are many walls and stairs in the garden.
Remarkable is the fact that there are no other houses near Cascina Borchina, you can hear and see no cars just from the guests.

Cascina Borchina can be reached by car in about 10 minutes from Maccagno and its beaches (about km from the hill). You have to get up on the hill about five minutes, in the direction of Campagnano. Before Campagnano turn into a dirt road. The forest trail can not be driven with low-level sports cars. For "normal" cars it is not a problem.
Maccagno is a famous holiday destination from spring to late autumn, due to its proximity to the border with Switzerland (about 6 km). Maccagno is a small town on Lake Maggiore, which offers a lot: Freeclimber in every season directly at the rocks of the Lago, hiking and cycling (road bike and mountain bike) and the famous market on Wednesday in Luino (about 5 km away) Visit the museum of contemporary art, take long walks along the lake, go swimming, boating, pedal boating, beach volleyball or tennis, (directly at the lake) or eat in good restaurants and pizzerias Km from the finca. In spring, summer and autumn, Maccagno offers boat trips to Stresa, Cannobbio, Locarno and the Borromean Islands and many other beautiful places.
During the autumn season, Cascina Borchina is ideal for long walks and for freeclimbers, but also in the cities shopping and sightseeing. By car: Lugano (Switzerland) is only 35 minutes, Locarno (Switzerland) 30 minutes, Milan in about 1:20 by car or train, Lake Como, about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Near Lugano, there is also an outlet with over 80 shops open all year round.
Maccagno has a post office, a pharmacy, a bank and a supermarket, a laundry and a car-sharing service, several well-developed climbing walls for freeclimbers.
Ski: The small but very fine ski resort at Monte Ceneri above Lugano is only 35 minutes away from the finca. The high-alpine ski resorts in the Aosta Valley, such as the magnificent area around Monte Rosa, Cervinia at the foot of the Matterhorn or Courmayeur on the southern side of the Mont Blanc, can be easily reached via the motorway approximately 2 1/2 hours driving time. This is even worth a day trip!
Golf: Our beautiful holiday paradise is also an ideal destination for passionate golfers. The old Lugano Golf Club is only 25 minutes away by car in the small town of Magliaso, directly on Lake Lugano. Also the golf club near the lake of Varese is well reached in about 45 minutes by car. The 'Le Robinie Golf Course' was designed by Jack Niklaus as a beautiful green garden. The 18-hole golf course is a masterpiece with amphitheater, bunker, terraces, ponds, valleys and hills. Everything is coordinated, the course is a challenge for every golfer and compels him so many skills and abilities. The course includes a driving range with 18 covered slopes, 2 putting greens, pitching green, clubhouse with changing rooms, well stocked pro shop; Hotel complex with indoor pool and fitness area, seminar rooms and large car park. The course is open all year round (except on 1 January and 15 August).

Paradise
A paradise has been created here!!! Bettina and Andrea have fulfilled their dream here in 12 years. Noble materials, tastefully furnished, and hosts who are always approachable yet hardly noticeable. And then there’s the view!!! We rented the finca and couldn’t get enough of the sights from every room.

Beautiful finca with dream view
The finca looks just as beautiful in real life as in the photos. The view from the bedroom, the balcony, and the many lovely seating areas is even more beautiful in person. Simply dreamy! The finca is practical and furnished with many natural materials. Bettina personally welcomed us, showed us everything, and gave us many tips. We felt at home right away. When there was a problem (e.g., non-functioning German TV reception), help was provided immediately. The many loungers and chairs outside were very luxurious, so we didn't have to carry anything. The lemons provided us with a refreshing homemade lemonade. Usually, in the south, one has to take care of waste disposal in a complicated way. Even that was well organized. It was beautiful all around; we will definitely come back again!

Dreamlike: Land, House, and Host
The property is isolated, tranquil, and offers a breathtaking view of the lake in the middle of the forest. The hosts have prepared it over many years with hard work, love, and a great deal of taste, using the same ingredients to build the holiday houses/apartments. A herb garden and lemon trees can be found, along with a carport, numerous opportunities for playing, lounging, and sitting -- in the shade or in the sun. The furnishings are functional, high-quality, and a delight to the eye. The experience is rounded off by the personalities of the hosts themselves. Warm, helpful, attentive. The large number of regular guests speaks for itself.

enchanting property - time to dream
From the first moment we were enchanted - by the ambience of the house and the many loving details as well as the spectacular Lago view. Our expectations were more than exceeded. The pictures only give you an idea of how wonderful it is in reality!!! A big thank you to our friendly hosts who created this hideaway!!!! We felt super comfortable and were able to relax for a week. We hardly needed the car and explored the surroundings on foot. For example, it takes about half an hour to reach the pretty town of Maccagno and a great swimming spot, which is rare to find on Lake Maggiore. It was very hard to say goodbye and we are already dreaming of next time ..........

A holiday home in a class of its own!
From the moment we arrived, we were fascinated by the fantastic location and the amazing view of the lake and the mountains.
The house is kept in a rustic style and furnished with very high-quality materials. The rooms are comfortable, cosy, very clean and furnished with great attention to detail. You can feel the personal touch and immediately feel welcome. The pictures cannot convey how fantastic the location and the feeling are. The spectacular view from the terrace, the living room and the bedroom are even more impressive in reality than on the photos
Absolutely outstanding is the contact with the hosts, who are always in the background making sure that their guests feel comfortable. Bettina and Andrea live next door and are very pleasant hosts who respect the privacy of their guests, but are on hand to help with questions and problems
Overall, the finca leaves nothing to be desired. Something really special has been created here, which deserves our recognition and respect!!!

Relaxing holiday with a dream view
We spent a very relaxing holiday in the holiday home La Finca. The holiday home has a fantastic view of Lake Maggiore, is very quiet and has hiking trails right outside the front door. The holiday home was very clean and very well equipped. The kitchen left nothing to be desired, there are two nice bathrooms and you felt right at home in the bedrooms.
The landlords were very helpful and always open for tips and questions.

Wonderful quiet oasis with a fantastic view over Lake Maggiore
The very quietly situated, beautiful property above the village of Maccagno with its 4 great rusticos, a huge well-kept meadow with herb pots, lemon trees and a fantastic view over Lake Maggiore is truly an idyll. It's a great place to relax, unwind and enjoy the lovingly designed, clean and newly furnished flats. Bettina and Andrea are very friendly, warm, helpful but reserved landlords who also live separately on the property in their own rustico. You can see that they have renovated this property and its buildings authentically with a lot of love and passion. The location is also ideal for excursions and hikes. We will definitely be back! (There were three of us travelling as a family)

We spent a week in June at the "Finca". After our arrival, we were absolutely thrilled! We were warmly welcomed by Andrea and Bettina. Our accommodation, especially the location and view, completely delighted us. The view of Lake Maggiore is fantastic. You can't get enough of it. The house itself is tastefully decorated with partly antique furniture and modern bathrooms. We found everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Bettina and Andrea are great hosts who have created a small paradise here with certainly painstaking work. We felt very comfortable.

Magical Time Out
Bettina and Andrea welcomed us with a lot of warmth. We immediately felt at home and could freely move around the property. The location and the view are uniquely beautiful. The house is very clean and tastefully furnished. The terrace is nicely furnished. Here we could escape everyday life and feel very comfortable. We received tips for excursions and restaurants nearby. A special highlight in autumn was when we collected chestnuts in the adjacent forest. In the evening, Andrea made a fire and grilled the chestnuts. Bettina opened a delicious red wine for us, and we gathered socially together.
This was our second stay at this beautiful place. I assume it won't be the last time we were there. It's also very beautiful in spring.

Unique, dreamy holiday home!!!
This accommodation is absolutely fantastic! Our holiday home, La Finca, impressed us from the moment we entered with high-quality materials, cleanliness, and carefully selected furnishings and decorations with attention to detail! The Finca is beautiful, very cozy, and has a fantastic view. I have been there for the second time and will come back. The kitchen has everything you need and more (spices, vinegar, etc.). Enchanting Gem in Breathtaking Location

Dream house!!
We had booked the house "La Finca" in Cascina Borchina for a week. The house and the entire facility are absolutely top-notch, the view of Lake Maggiore sensational. The photos on the internet are already great, but seeing everything live makes it even more beautiful. We immediately felt comfortable and welcome, also due to the warmth of the hosts (Bettina and Andrea).
A big compliment to the two owners. . . . it couldn't be better, please keep it up! ! A genuine recommendation for couples seeking peace and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
