The two cabins are located in woods on our rural smallholding with a stream nearby and are of timber construction with tiled roofs. Each cabin, for up to 4 guests, comprises two bedrooms, (one with a double bed and door and the other with a pair of bunk beds and curtain), a covered terrace with dining and kitchen area (table, seating, sink, gas hob, microwave and electric fridge), a small inner hall with shelves and hanging space, and a combined shower, hand basin and WC unit (total floor area approx. 23 m2.). Furnishings are basic but include most things required for a self-catering holiday in a rural location. We provide pillows and blankets. Bed linen and towels are available if required at an extra charge of £8/ 10 Euros per person per week. A washing machine is also available on site at an extra charge of 3 Euros per load including powder.
Town and location of object
Set in 5 acres of idyllic woodland and pasture in the Taravo Valley, these cabins make an ideal base for exploring the mountains, villages and coastline of this beautiful, Mediterranean island. The small village of Petreto Bicchisano, with its shops, bars and restaurants is a couple of minutes drive away. The beach resorts of Propriano and Porto Pollo as well as the mountainous heartland of the Alta Rocca can be reached within half an hour and the Taravo river with its rock pools is ten minutes away. The airport and seaport of Ajaccio are less than an hour’s drive from this peaceful setting. Passenger ferries also arrive at Propriano (30 minutes). Figari airport is about 80 minutes drive to the south.

Corsica is rich in plant and animal life, magnificent scenery and offers rewarding walking. It has a distinctive culture and the island is steeped in history, which can be explored in the ancient villages and in the many prehistoric sites of this area. For those seeking more active pursuits, horse riding, water-sports, diving, canyoning and more, is all on offer in the region. There are also several hot-spring baths that are excellent places to relax in – as well as the fabulous, sandy beaches!
