A farmhouse in the beautiful heart of the Umbria Valley, sourronded by 10 hectares of olive groves, vineyards and fruit trees. Six independent apartments have been restored around the ancient stone house, which go back to 17th century. The farmhause is only 4km far from the historic centre of Perugia and offers a suggestive view of the Umbrian hills. The apartments recently restored are of different size and are testefully furnished with original and typical pieces. These apartments are surrounded by a large common furnished garden, with play area for children. Paulownia (sleeps 2+2, 40sq.mts) Studio- Ground floor, lounge with cooking area, TV and double sofabed, double bedroom, bathroom with shower, little independent garden. Chiocciola(sleeps 2, 26sq.mt.)Studio - first floor: lounge with kitchen and double sofa bed, bathroom. Facilities The Farmhause is open yearly. Perugia Rail Station is 5km far, S. The farmhouse “la volpe e l’uva” is at north of Perugia, just outside of the ancient medioeval walls. In this direction there are not outskirts, so you can pass directly from the historic centre of Perugia to the country side. The farmhouse is in a hilly position, very near to the main Umbrian localities (Gubbio 28km; Assisi and Spello 15km; Trasimeno Lake 20km; Todi and Orvieto, 45km). Perugia is a very ancient town, which rose to power during the time of the Etruscans. It was controlled by the Romans and invaded by the barbarians after the fall of the Roman Empire. In the 11th century a Free Commune was set up, reaching great power and splendor in the 13th and 14th century. After an obscure period of internal fighting, in 1540 it was conquered by Paolo III Farnese and remained under the dominion of the Church until 1860, when it became a member of the Italian State. Today Perugia is a splendid city of art, the capital of the region of Umbria and the residence of a famous university.
