This well-kept holiday home in Sehestedt is in a quiet residential area and has been extensively renovated. It is 90 m to the Kiel Canal (2nd row of streets): from both flats you have the canal view as in the photo.
The Baltic seaside resort of Eckernförde is nearby.

a) Very LARGE kitchen-living room with table for 8 people; a French bed (with a room divider made of curtains), leather sofa, pellet stove. The kitchen is very well equipped. The 7m wide south-facing window is effectively shaded from the outside.
b) Bedroom with double bed (160 cm wide, electrically adjustable) and own TV

WC 54 cm high with folding supports on both sides; washbasin accessible from below - all with ample free space in front. All door widths over 100 cm; BEDROOM: bed height 55 cm, under-ride, slatted frames electrically adjustable, free space at the bed: 2.40 x 1.65 m; we are happy to rearrange the bed so that you can also get in from the other side; The bedroom has its own satellite TV with DVD player. The light switches are mounted low. A folding wheelchair and commode chair are available. LIVING KITCHEN: The French bed is 53 cm high and can be folded down, with a room divider made of curtains and with an electrically adjustable slatted frame. The living room table has a large overhang.
We can adjust the leather couch to a seat height of 55 cm.

EXTENSION to both flats (optional):
Both flats can also be booked together, in which case a maximum occupancy of 8 persons is possible. The price then doubles.
A friendly maisonette flat with 65 sqm. The clean and bright kitchen-living room has a south-facing balcony, also with a view of the larger ships in the Kiel Canal (90 m away, as in the photo). Three cosy bedrooms have double beds; one of them is in the attic (good standing height there. The bathroom has a bathtub, shower and washing machine.
The private access to the flat is via the balcony. Both flats can be connected via the interior staircase.
The south-facing balcony and the windows are effectively shaded.

Location and surroundings of object
The lively village of Sehestedt is centrally located in Schleswig-Holstein, the distance to the Baltic Sea (Eckernförde) is about 15 km, about 70 km to Denmark.
The village of Sehestedt is situated in the hilly part of Schleswig-Holstein, on the Kiel Canal. It is a small but lively community with a variety of activities. We like to refer to our village as "Sehestedt - the village through which a canal flows".
The municipal area lies on both sides of the canal and is connected by a ferry which, like all canal crossings, can be used free of charge day and night, so you will find ideal conditions for your holiday here.
Enjoy walking and cycling along the canal and in the surrounding area . 2-3 simple bicycles are available for free use, use at your own risk)

Relaxing holiday in a great holiday flat
Many thanks to the Jessen family. We felt very comfortable in your ground floor apartment. Everything is so wonderfully practical and we were delighted every day by the loving details. The large living room with its huge windows is also a visual delight. The proximity to the NOK is fascinating. There is a lot to discover in the surrounding area. Our tips are the snack bar at the mobile home site "Förde- und Kanalblick" with a view of the locks and the Kiel Fjord, a walk along the old Eider Canal and a visit to the Arche animal park in Warder. We will be happy to come back.
