Horti Japygi is a XVII century Trullo, brought back to life with a careful restoration. This secluded cottage is set amidst a peaceful plurisecular olive grove surrounded by a traditional stone wall. The distance apart from the main road makes it an ideal place to relax and enjoy the Mediterranean countryside. The cottage is furnished to a high standard and is tastefully decorated with local artist creations. The spacious living room has an impressive dome roof and a charming wall niche corner with a cast iron sofa. The cosy kitchen has a small fridge/freezer, a gas cooker and a lovely cast iron tiled stove in an ancient fireplace. The bathroom is modern and has a new washing machine. The two bedrooms are one with a king size and one with 2 single beds (sleeps 4 in total), and in the bedroom area there is a modern air conditioning/climatisation system to sleep comfortably in a cool environment. The patio has table and chairs to enjoy meals outside, and a big sunshade umbrella.

Trullo Horti Japygi is set on a very quiet location, far from crowded touristy places: is located in the countryside, covered with olive groves, that surrounds the historic hamlet of Ceglie Messapica, in the Itria Valley, Puglia. Not far from the Trullo are the renowned Grotte di Castellana – among largest cave networks in Europe. Its awesome stalactites and stalagmites are well worth a visit..
