This is how you imagine a vacation in the middle of nature in Canada. Secluded in the forest and directly on the lake, which you mostly have all to yourself, and then in a beautiful and very rare log cabin that has a very special flair. In addition, nature lovers are impressed by the special wildlife right outside the door compared to home. In addition to the many hummingbirds, we were also able to observe a bald eagle, chipmunks, and white-tailed deer. There are also porcupines and raccoons to see here and there. The landlords were extremely friendly and very serious and professional from the initial contact to the departure and always available for questions. We received a lot of tips for excursions, the information folder was filled with a lot of information. In terms of equipment and facilities, the house itself has absolutely everything you need and is tip-top clean and very well maintained, absolutely exemplary. Canoeing, kayaking, play island, swimming directly in front of the door in the warm, clean lake water at the jetty, barbecue, fishing, outdoor fireplace, indoor fireplace, fully equipped kitchen (even a cooler box for on the go was thought of), and much more, everything available. All information and pictures provided by the landlord are current and match 100% with what was found. Gas station with a "mom-and-pop store" (including alcohol) within walking distance. The nearest "larger" town (Yarmouth) can be easily reached by car in about 20km with all shopping possibilities. The only thing we regret is not staying here longer. After this stay, we went on for two more weeks to Cape Breton and were able to gather further experience in terms of accommodations. Therefore, we are convinced that this location actually deserves one more star in the overall rating. There were absolutely no wishes left open or anything that needed improvement, without exaggerating.
