I can only recommend the vacation apartment. Especially worth mentioning are the very nice landlords. If needed, you can also order fresh eggs from their own chickens or even get freshly made pasta. The location is very convenient to Frankfurt. The surroundings are nice and quiet and invite you to take small walks or even hikes. We had a great time.

A must-see for the whole family is the Münzenberg castle ruins, considered a landmark of Wetterau. In the High Middle Ages, the ensemble was one of the most important castles in all of Germany. A tower can be climbed. From here, you have a breathtaking view over Wetterau. Five kilometers southwest of Butzbach, you will find the 486-meter-high Hausberg. Here stands a lookout tower that also guarantees a great view. Annually on May 1st, the Hausberg Festival takes place here. Around the mountain, there is a 7.5-kilometer-long Celtic trail. Along the path, information boards provide insights into the Celts and the ring walls in this region. The magnificent Büdingen Castle can be visited during a guided tour in the summer half-year. Büdingen is worth a visit in any case. Here, you will also find massive city walls or ancient half-timbered houses. The historic half-timbered town of Butzbach, with 150 listed buildings, is a highlight during a vacation with an affordable holiday home or private apartment. The market square is considered one of the most beautiful in Hesse. We also recommend the town museum with an exhibition of around 200 different shoe models in miniature.
