Typical for Dalmatia is, for example, Pasticada, a Mediterranean variant of goulash served on noodles or Njoki. If you prefer something more unusual, you can try Salata od Hobotnice (octopus salad) or Brudet (Dalmatian fish stew). Skarpina, Zubatac, Orada pod Pekom are names for dragonhead, toothed bream, and gilt-head bream, which are baked under a clay bell. Dalmatian ham (Dalmatinksi Prsut) is also delicious, dried by the cold, dry Bora wind and given a unique flavor. Particularly worth mentioning are the Konobas Sesula and Martinis Marchi in Maslinica on Solta. The Buena Vista and Mendula cafes in Grohote are cozy places to visit. How do I come to Solta?

Solta is an idyllic island in the southern Adriatic in Croatia, located opposite Split and west of Brac. The island belongs to Dalmatia. The main town is Grohote. Solta is about 19 kilometers long and 4.9 kilometers wide. If you rent a holiday home or apartment on the pebble beach from a private owner, for example in Nečujam, you have various options for getting there. The nearest airport is Split Airport Kastela. By car, you can take the Tauern motorway, Villach, the Karawanken tunnel or the Pyhrn motorway to Ljubljana or Maribor and continue to Zagreb and onto the Croatian A1. At Dugopolje, take the expressway to Split. From there, the ferry runs four to six times daily to the island of Solta. A wonderful beach holiday on Solta is just around the corner!
