Drinking a coffee on the private terrace every morning was one of my favorite moments. I appreciated how close everything was, just a short walk to the beach and the nearby restaurants. I spent my evenings enjoying the calm atmosphere and experiencing the view with friends.

What do you need to experience in Solta?

Beautiful bays, quaint villages

On Solta, there are nine picturesque places that make the holidaymaker's heart beat faster. Grohote is the largest town on the island and is located relatively centrally. Stomorska exudes the original charm of a small fishing village. Maslinica has an archipelago of seven small islands. The once-small fishing village is now a stronghold for active holidaymakers. Tip: Enjoy the most beautiful view of the sunset here. Necujam has the largest bay on the island. Rogac is the main port of Solta, where the car ferries dock. Here you will find beautiful nature and fantastic beaches in a central location. Gornja & Donja Krusica are two merged fishing villages located in the north of the island. With their old stone houses and idyllic harbors, these places are an ideal retreat for holidaymakers with a holiday home with access to the pebble beach or apartment, for example in Nečujam. On the eastern side of the island is Gornje Selo. From there, you can hike to the Vela Straza mountain, where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the islands of Vis and Hvar. Donje Selo is a quiet farming village that manages without much tourism. The smallest village is called Srednje Selo, which captivates with its medieval charm. On the southern side of the island, you will find numerous beautiful sandy beaches or small fishing houses. One of the most popular and well-known bays on the island is Sesula Bay. Other beautiful bays on Solta are Podrazanj, Stracinska, Tatinja, or Poganica. Simply rent a holiday accommodation, a comfortable house, or an apartment directly by the sea or near the city center with sea view, air conditioning, pool, Wi-Fi, terrace, and at a reasonable price and enjoy a relaxing stay according to your personal wishes with numerous attractions for your family and children within easy reach in one of the most beautiful regions of Croatia.

Where can I eat out in Solta?

Get to know the cuisine in Konobas

You can get to know the culinary delights of the region in the Konobas, small traditional taverns. Homemade wine is often offered there as well. Typical for Dalmatia is, for example, Pasticada, a Mediterranean variant of goulash served on noodles or Njoki. If you prefer something more unusual, you can try Salata od Hobotnice (octopus salad) or Brudet (Dalmatian fish stew). Skarpina, Zubatac, Orada pod Pekom are names for dragonhead, toothed bream, and gilt-head bream, which are baked under a clay bell. Dalmatian ham (Dalmatinksi Prsut) is also delicious, dried by the cold, dry Bora wind and given a unique flavor. Particularly worth mentioning are the Konobas Sesula and Martinis Marchi in Maslinica on Solta. The Buena Vista and Mendula cafes in Grohote are cozy places to visit. Book a beautiful holiday apartment or house and get to know the island's culinary delights!

How do I come to Solta?

By ferry to the dream island

Solta is an idyllic island in the southern Adriatic in Croatia, located opposite Split and west of Brac. The island belongs to Dalmatia. The main town is Grohote. Solta is about 19 kilometers long and 4.9 kilometers wide. If you rent a holiday home or apartment on the pebble beach from a private owner, for example in Nečujam, you have various options for getting there. The nearest airport is Split Airport Kastela. By car, you can take the Tauern motorway, Villach, the Karawanken tunnel or the Pyhrn motorway to Ljubljana or Maribor and continue to Zagreb and onto the Croatian A1. At Dugopolje, take the expressway to Split. From there, the ferry runs four to six times daily to the island of Solta. A wonderful beach holiday on Solta is just around the corner! Book a comfortable holiday accommodation, a holiday home or an apartment near the city or directly by the sea with sea view, Wi-Fi, pool, air conditioning, and terrace at a reasonable price and enjoy a holiday tailored to your personal wishes in Croatia.
