Riding School Farm Stay

Sint-Truiden

This property exceeded our expectations! The cozy fireplace in the living room added a warm touch, and the outdoor terrace was great for evening relaxation, Our kids had so much fun with the trampoline and slides, making it a memorable stay,

Unsafe and poorly maintained outdoor area Picnic tables with protruding nails, rough and worn boards, and paint residue/terpentine that caused damage to clothing. A picnic table with a broken seat board, which we know happened six weekends ago. The damaged boards were still hanging loose on the table. The statement that the responsible person who should fix this is “on vacation for two weeks” does not align with the facts and indicates willful negligence. Unmowed grass, abundant weeds, trash in flower pots, stagnant green water in large planters, dirty garden furniture on the terrace by the bedroom, abandoned ashtrays with butts... 1. 2. Poor hygiene and defects inside the accommodation Multiple broken chairs. Non-functioning lighting and defective outlets. Cabinet doors that came loose when opened. A dirty refrigerator, a filthy freezer with leftover food from previous guests. Loose parquet boards and a part of the parquet that was raised, which posed a real risk of falling. Damaged slatted bases, dirty mattresses, and worn pillows. Glasses that were stuck to the shelf. 1. 3. Absence of the promised service and reception Upon arrival, there was no reception, although this was expected. The accommodation was left open and uncontrolled, without guidance or explanation. The contact person who eventually came by understood us insufficiently, did not give a tour, and denied the hygiene problems. The report that repairs "were not possible due to the vacation of the responsible person" shows that no effort was made to address the reported deficiencies.
