Charming apartment on the ski slopes

We felt very comfortable here as a couple in four nights and not cramped. I particularly liked the coffee machine in the morning and the well-functioning heating at night. The balcony views were worth every early rising moment.

Villa in Beaufort with Pool & Views

We were here in August with a small dog, four of us. The completely fenced property was ideal for us. Particularly noteworthy are the absolute peace – no neighbors within calling or sight distance – and the beautiful elevated location with a dreamlike view over the landscape to the south and north. The clean house and a large part of the furniture are old, but that is precisely what gives it a lot of charm for us. It reminds one of a large French family house from old films or novels, such as those by Marcel Pagnol, with many decorations from different countries. However, the house is quite noisy. The four bedrooms (2 on the ground floor/2 on the upper floor) are spacious, with good mattresses, built-in wardrobes, and sufficient hangers. The renovated bathroom downstairs has a walk-in shower, unfortunately without a door/curtain, so water runs out. The older bathroom upstairs with a tub is okay, but could be renovated. The large kitchen is well equipped, with plenty of storage space and a large refrigerator. The air conditioning works very well, but it can only be controlled centrally for the entire house. In the basement, there is, among other things, a washing machine; the boiler there is unfortunately quite loud at night as well. The large terrace offers ample space, but a better rain- and sunproof covering would be nice. The separately secured pool area has 4 loungers, 1 deck chair, but only one sunshade – more shade would be very desirable in the height of summer. The pool and surrounding area could use a bit of refreshing. The pool pump is loud, but after inquiry, it could be turned off at night. Beaufort is a beautiful old village with great houses and alleys. The location for excursions is also excellent: Minerve, Narbonne, and Carcassonne should not be missed. Overall, a house with small weaknesses, but a lot of French character, wonderful views, plenty of space, and exceptional quiet. We felt very comfortable.

Got in late after a long drive. The chalet was cozy and quiet, just what we needed. Slept well on the comfortable beds, and waking up to the pine trees outside was nice.
