Access codes to the building came late enough on the day of our arrival from an overnight plane ride that we ended up trundling our suitcases around Paris while hoping to visit some sites.
there was never any communication from the person designated as our contact in Pris.
There were stains on the comforters for the bed in the one bedroom and on the mattress. Ick.This is a health concern.
The listing showed two bedrooms; There was one, and a hard sofa on a landing aka living room. It was not a double bed as shown on the listing.
The apartment did not have a functioning smoke detector. There was an uninstalled unit on top of the fridge. Is this either legal or safe?
There was a flight of stairs to read the entry, then 2 flights of stairs to reach the apartment though the listins shows a level entry and an elevator.
There was a waster and dryer advertized as part of the equipment on the aparment' there was no dryer.
From the outset, the listing showed us as Americans. We do not live in the USA or carry their passport. The error was not corrected.
There was no fan working in the bathroom. It got steamy. The shower stall leaked buckets of water onto the floor of the bathroom.
The advertized laptop work space did not exist.
Check my guest services kicked in on the dayof our arrival. Given the crowds in Paris, that's very late to be planning a visit and reservations for popular sites.
When we asked for a swap to a space more like the condistions advertized, the response was "not possible".
We took photos of the actual accommodation and archived the ads for comparison purposes. There is no comparison.
A refund is in order. An apology with it might help.

Only 3 chairs for 5 people! Single bed all broken. The glasses are fine, but only 3 of each kind... In short, complicated for 5 adults. Lively neighborhood on football nights, and woken up early on market days for those sleeping in the living room.

The apartment was clean and very well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. It is also close to excellent restaurants like Le Scheffer and Route de la Soie, which we loved. We will definitely stay here again!
