Charming Gîte in France for a Private Getaway

A gem it is: gîte Marie-Rose in Picardy. With a very large, idyllic garden full of hidden spots and a vegetable garden from which all sorts of delicious things come. Every day when I came home or stepped out the door, I smelled the herbs in the garden. Such a thing is a lasting memory. The hostess and host are very warm: you are welcomed with "rhubarb tart" (made from rhubarb from their own garden: delicious!) and they are happy to provide you with information about the region. It has much more to offer than many people know: it is the valley of the Marne with a rolling, varied landscape of forests and champagne vineyards. And finally, they also supported me with advice and action when I had a problem with the air conditioning in the car (there was a heatwave). In short: unforgettable and worth repeating!
